Big boss burger: i ordered everything on it, pepperjack cheese (cashier's recommendation), medium well (cashier said if u dont care just do M). delicious, super shiny and good looking patty. The cheese looked good. They skimped on the lettuce. Cheese costed extra 99cents. But still incredibly cheap burger for the quality and size. Buns were ok buns, but the patty and cheese were amazing. Super big boss: my friend ordered this. It was huge! Probably the same as a big boss but just bigger. (We both thought of it like burrito and super burrito where its more ingredients, but super big boss is just larger in size and more of the same ingredients than big boss) Seasoned fries: friend's fries. curly fries (we both thought it was going to be the regular long fries, dunno why menu didnt just say curly fries), its good. No crunch, but we got our's a little bit late so it probably went soggy while sitting out. Friend says really good, and its really good with the ranch. Chocolate Root beer float: friend says its very good Extra Took a min, got my big boss burger. Then my friend who ordered super big boss, seasoned fries and root beer, had to wait over 30 min, then asked them and turned out his order was under the table because they called his name and didnt get it. But neither of us heard his name ever being called. When it takes too long, they put the order under the table so we didnt even know until we asked. Outside looked like a shack, like someone's random house, but when u enter, its a very welcoming restaurant Interior is awesome, like the 90s vibe local restaurant place. (Like a less commercialized more local feel version of In n out) Cheese costs extra 99cents but tomato pickles onion lettuce ketchup comes free Salt and pepper packets self serve Water free, in a paper cup, self serve through dispenser. Dine in comes in those red net baskets with paper cover. Take out burger comes in a white paper box, and fries comes in a paper bag. 2 sauces came with the fries. (One was ranch, other was orange probably in n out type sauce) Ketchup dispenser and little paper cups for the ketchup self serve Super close to oroville bus, extra points for that Customer amount also super neat, a good amount of customers to make the place looks busy and happy while still enough space to easily find a good seat and order and a good pace. This place has the quality of what a standard non fast food, restaurant burger looks like. Good price, good patty and ingredients, good wait time, for that I'll give it a 5/5 read more

On a recommendation from a colleague, I was up in the Chico area for a doctor's visit and decided to act on her positive experience. After the appointment, I drove down and decided to give them a shot. From the moment I walked through the door to the moment I left the parking lot, the experience was absolutely fantastic. The place was run by a team of youngsters, but they were service‑oriented, polite, gracious, and genuinely willing to help. The interior was clean--nothing fancy, but exactly what you'd expect from a good burger joint. I ordered a half pound burger with cheese and fixings, and when the food arrived, I was stunned. The burger was gorgeous, and the amount of French fries they gave me was generous. It felt like two to three whole potatoes' worth, and they weren't soggy or drenched in oil--they were perfectly cooked and delicious. The overall taste was fantastic. I only ate a banana all day, and this absolutely hit the spot. Everything tasted fresh. They even provided free ranch and a special house sauce that was delicious. I have yet to try the food as I just left the place and want to speak on my experience at this business. I first saw this place on the Internet and wanted to try something new, after I drive to and enter the location, I find an odd realization the all the prices are upped by at least 4 dollars on everything compared to what I saw when I was first researching their prices..that's fine. I order for 3 people, I order 3 combos of burgers and fries where 2 of the 3 we specifically asked for bacon and payed the extra fees for everything, when we finally received the order, I had checked the food and found that only 1 burger had bacon on it and a whole large fry was missing from my $60 order. So I bring both up to the employees and instead of just fixing the issue, one memeber tried to tell us that we needed to purchase more for extra bacon that we already ordered and went on to explain that it wasn't in the order. Now I remember what I ordered, but in the scenario I was wrong about the bacon, it is still courtesy to give me 2 pieces of bacon on a burger when you forget a whole large fry to my order. I am not here to bash the business, I just hope some people can learn from this and realize this is NOT good customer service. Visited September 8th..see my receipt I didn't give them 5 stars because it took over 15 minutes for a junior boss burger (no cheese..simple) with no one else's order to work on. To be fair I heard the phone ring a couple times and it sounded like it could be for take out orders. The burger was good..nothing special. Bun had a nice warmth to it. Almost 6 bucks for a small burger! I heard their fries are really good but I wasn't very hungry so I passed on them. They also have a kids menu. Best burger in Butte County! Burger patty was ultra tender and massive. Chili cheese bacon fries and milkshakes were extremely amazing. Wonderful staff and excellent service. Ambiance was clean and parking is in the back door. Restaurant is right near the Feather River Bridge Downtown Oroville. She explained she had to get back to work and could they please hurry. After 22 minutes she still did not have her fries. She asked about it and explained she had to leave to get back to work and was told they were not ready yet but she could come back when she got off work at 5:30. The owner/cook cooked a burger which was ordered "medium well" actually had charred edges. When asked to make a different burger he flatly refused as well as refusing a refund. He also replied that "no the customer isn't always right" and he banned the person in question from coming back. The service of the rest of tge staff was excellent and cordial. However the owner seems to have inherited his father's bad attitude. My Grandmother lived on Mongomery Street about a block from The Boss. One thing none of us EVER forgot is that back in 1975, regular cheese burgers were $ 1.65. That's 50 years ago. Burgers there were 5 times higher there than ANYWHERE. We never could afford to go there. No one could. I read the reviews about the long waits. I guarantee you there was no waits in 1975. There was a place around there in Oroville that had burgers 10/ 1.00. That was our spot. Gas was about 33 cents a gallon.
