We were in the mood for lahmacun and found this spot! The cigar bourek were awesome and I would definitely come back to get those again. The uludag gazoz drink was also good. Really enjoyed this place!

Well were there for a quick Friday dinner with our daughter. It was our second time so we knew what to expect. There was wait although we were early. The space is a little congested and there is no space for waiting specially in winters. We were served with their famous freshly baked and very satisfying pita bread with a red sauce. We ordered, their appetizer called Ezmi, it was a bunch of veggies grated and mixed and tasted pretty okay, not worth $10, considering the portion. For main course chicken Doner kabab and chicken sheesh kabab. Chicken doner kabab, was the ground chicken kabab which tasted great with their pilaf( rice), salad and a Mediterranean sause. Sheesh kabab was tender white chicken breast perfectly marinated with spices and tasted amazing. Loved our entrees. There is no kids menu and no alcohol allowed also the food is halal. Service is quick. Not the best experience but great for occasional visits to enjoy the Mediterranean flavours.

Overall: Solid place, has really good portion and price point for today's restaurant prices. Would definitely come back again. Food: The food at Bosphorus is good. Simple, authentic Turkish food, without any unnecessary frills or additions. Got the gyro plate and enjoyed the portions, had enough for leftovers. Service: The service was great! The waiters are very attentive and come quickly to help refill or handle any questions. Ambiance: This is a casual sit-down restaurant. It has that restaurant buzz that comes from a busy restaurant.

Really good food and the establishment is clean. The only issue I have is with service. Everytime I come in, it seems that people shmooz with the host and they skip people in order. Either they are friends of the owner or friends with whomever is at the stand. I've noticed that and have had to speak up because I can tell people are skipping line for a table.

We have been coming her for over 12 years. It is the best Turkish restaurant in the area. They offer so many fresh and healthy options for all palettes. Plenty of vegetarian as well as meat dishes. The lentil soup, meze platter, and Greek salad are amazing starters. The fresh bread with dipping sauce is fantastic. The yoghurt kebab is one of my favorites and you can get doener on the weekend. Service is always great and seating is casual. We love this family business and come here as often as we can!

Bosphorus is a go-to restaurant for my family and I. They have great service, and freshly made bread/oil as a free appetizer. The kebabs or gyro platters are always a great choice, but this time I tried their vegetable pide. The bread was soft and fluffy, and the toppings were delicious-- a cheesy, savory alternative to the kebabs. Highly recommend for authentic and delicious Turkish food!

I came in on a Sunday evening. While it was busy with a lot of diners, I didn't have to wait for a table. They gave me bread and a water after I placed my order. It didn't take very long for my order to be brought over to my table, which was nice considering they had a lot of people coming in and out for takeaways and online orders as well as dine-in patrons. I ordered the chicken kebab plate. The chicken was tender and packed with flavor. Everything on the plate was delicious and perfect to satiate my hunger after I've just played tennis for 4 hours! The staff were polite and checked in on me at least once to make sure everything was good. Service was quick and without a hassle. I would definitely come back again in the future.

Yum!! I got the falafel plate with a side of fries and everything was delicious. The serving size is great and I had leftovers for the next day. There is plenty of seating and the service was quick. They also have complementary turkish tea- which I had never had before and it was a great way to end a delicious meal. I will definitely be coming back

Great food. Fast service. Well priced. Complimentary tea at the end of dinner was a nice touch. Will come back the next time we're in Cary. Our daughter loved the pide. Also enjoyed their salads, lentil soup, and kofta kabob plate.

I stopped in here for lunch the other day because I was craving some delicious Turkish food. This place has been on my radar for some time now and I'm happy I finally tried it. I was seated in a booth and was brought complimentary hot tea and fresh hot bread with a tomato oil dipping sauce. Both were delicious. For my entree I ordered the Chicken kabob with rice and salad. The rice was almost like a barley and it was really good. The chicken was incredible. All of the wait staff were very nice and attentive. I really liked the atmosphere too. I will definitely return.

Yes. They don't serve alcohol. We have brought in a bottle of wine before. They can't touch or open the bottle for you. They'll bring you a bottle opener and water glasses. Their food is so good, it's worth it plus it's cheaper!

Service is very friendly, and as quick as possible, considering that stuff seems to be made to order. I ordered a chicken kebab platter which comes over a bed of basmati rice, possibly with saffron. "Bodega-like Mediterranean Grill & Grocery in Parkwood area of Durham"…read more This place is WAY off the beaten path for most, but I'm so happy to have gotten to try it out. Nestled in a little strip between a Muslim school and a mosque is this grill and grocery. We came on a Wednesday evening, and almost every table was already taken by diners. You order your food at a counter, and it has the Middle Eastern foods you'd expect-- kofta, shawarma, gyros, falafel, baba ghanouj, hummus, baklava, etc. I opted for the lamb gyro sandwich with a side of baba ghanouj, and my dining partner had the falafel sandwich. They call your number when it's ready. Food took maybe 10 minutes to receive, so we browsed the market area. It's not a huge selection, but very traditional-- nice seeing so many labels in Arabic, and along with standards (e.g., canned fava beans for Ful Medames), they also had things like frozen chopped mulukhiyah leaves-- that's definitely a rarer sight. Lots of good spices too. The food was EXCELLENT. The lamb was juicy and perfect (unlike what another Yelp review said), the tzatziki sauce was delicious, and the baba ghanouj was perfectly cooked and textured. I had a small bite of the falafel, and it was indeed one of the best I've had in the US. Price was fair, too-- the sandwiches are all under $10 before tax and tip, and making it a combo with side and drink cost just something like $2.50. And service was friendly-- although they called out numbers, they did walk out with the food to try to find and bring you your dishes. And while it was an older space, it was overall still generally clean. Overall, I'd VERY happily come back.

The quality and portions are excellent--no skimpy skewers, no mystery meat. A couple of small suggestions (because nothing is perfect): I'd love to see a wider variety of sauces for the kebabs, and personally, I'd prefer a larger piece of taftoon bread instead of the pita slices. That said--credit where it's due--the pita tastes fresh and not like it was pulled straight from a plastic bag, which already puts them ahead of most places. After enjoying Baba Ghannouj Mediterranean Bistro in Cary last week, my girl & I decided to explore…read moreanother kebab/gyro restaurant in Cary, so we went to Kebab Skewer & dined in on a Saturday night. This is located close to Milklab, which I also reviewed here on Yelp. My girl ordered a gyro wrap, then the young adult cashier asked if we wanted to add fries & drink for additional $3+. She asked if she can swap the fries for another side: baba ghannouj, our favorite Mediterranean side dish, and the cashier said she can. The menu overhead is clear, so we didn't have trouble deciding what to order. I ordered the Kebab Platter - Double Skewer that comes with salad, rice, a tiny cup of tzatziki, a tiny cup of salad dressing, and pita bread. Platter costs $15.99 + additional $1.99 because I chose lamb kebab. We also ordered the 4-piece falafel & a lamb kofta skewer. Total cost was about $50+. As always, we tried each other's foods, split the falafel & lamb kofta. The lamb gyro wrap was delicious with fresh meat, lettuce, tomatoes, and tzatziki sauce. The few bites I had of the gyro were pure bliss; part of me wish I ordered a gyro wrap too, but I wanted us to have different orders. The baba ghannouj that came with her gyro was excellent unlike what we tried from Baba Ghannouj Mediterranean Bistro (BGM Bistro). The texture of the mashed eggplant and mix of spices were perfect, and the amount was good enough for the 2 of us to share. I also enjoyed my double skewer lamb kebab platter. The salad was fresh, the basmati rice wasn't as sopisticated as other spiced varieties but it went well with the lamb kebab, fresh from the grill. However, for an $18+ meal, wish it included another small side like baba ghannouj. BGM Bistro's platters let you choose 2 sides along with the rice and salad for about the same price, so you get more value there but the baba ghannouj tastes better here. Falafel is a good-tasting side, about the same quality as BGM Bistro's. It comes with tahini sauce. The lamb kofta skewer, which looks like a sausage, was well-spiced and went well with tzatziki. Our orders were served in less than 12 min, and we had to pick up our trays at the front when they were ready instead of bringing to our table. It looks like this is the kind of place that's better for take out than dine in as the ambiance isn't inviting. There was one area where the floor was left uncleaned and the dull illumination of the fluorescent lights inside doesn't make this restaurant ideal for a romantic date. We were somewhat satisfied with our dinner with the gyro and baba ghannouj being the highlights. Lamb kebab & lamb kofta tasted good but I don't think the whole platter is worth $18+. We might alternate BGM Bistro & this as each has their own pros & cons. Or we might explore another we haven't tried before.
