So if you are disabled you're going to have a very difficult time getting into this location. If you go to either the east or west entrance you read this insipid and patronizing sign telling you to simply ask for help if you need it. From whom, I'd like to know. There isn't even a number to call. How can I get help getting into the store if I can't.... GET INTO THE STORE? The west entrance does offer one door accessible by button which sometimes, not regularly, opens one of the doors. If your wheelchair is small enough you might make it through. I'm wondering if this thoughtlessness is even legal. At the very least it suggests Boscov's has no interest in disabled shoppers. read more

I went to this store to buy some clothes. When I was done shopping, I found that there were no sales people at any of the checkouts on the first floor. None at all. I asked a very miserable employee in the makeup department where I could find an open register. She snapped at me and said in broken English to look around and I would find one. I had to go upstairs to the curtains department to find someone actually at a register. I have encountered this problem in the Albany store too. How do they expect customers to buy items when there is no one at any of the checkouts? Very poor management in both stores. read more

I can sum up why I shop here in 3 words: "It's not Macy's!" With the exception of Macy's own brands of men's clothing such as Club Room or Alfani, I can find almost the exact selection here without anywhere near as many coupons with fine print, bait-and-switch items, tiered store cards, and those ridiculous preview days. Okay, they do have some of this stuff, but it's nowhere near as bad, as intelligence-insulting, or as in-your-face. The employees here are very friendly - naturally friendly. That's probably because Boscovs is THE anchor store in this mall, as compared to their store in Colonie Center which is competing with you-know-who. I can't give this store more stars, however, because their line of men's clothing - the primary reason I'd come here - is hit or miss. Their jeans are overpriced, and they typically don't have them in my waist size (30 - rarely do I see any below 32). It's the same for their shorts. On this particular visit, they had a huge sale on t-shirts and polo shirts at a really good price. But they did not have a single shirt in the colors that interested me in size Medium. I suspect they bought a huge selection of overstock from somewhere else in the sizes they couldn't sell. At different times of the year, though, I've had really good luck with sweatshirts, flannel shirts, and sweaters at really good prices. I've also had better luck with many other departments in the store. When I shop here for men's clothes I have to go in with the mindset that I won't necessarily find what I want. But I can always go to the nearby Kohl's afterward. read more

Went to return some clothes given to me as a gift for Christmas. When I was finally able to find a register attendant, she didn't bother to ask how I wanted my money returned (most places confirm your choice with you) so she just put it back on the card of the person who bought the gift for me. When I explained that it was a gift and asked if there was an option to get the money on a gift card, she was very rude to me and basically told me that I was out of luck and it was my problem not hers. I had a very difficult time, purchasing a pair of Bedroom slippers that were on sale, the price $7.99, great buy brought them to the register, this store attendant charged me double the price. On the 11 of Aug 2023 when my Wife a Black woman!!!!! went shopping there, as she was leaving the store 2 White guys from the store security stopped her in the parking lot and accused her of stealing merchandise!!!!! Which she had not!!!!!! In my opinion they had racially profiled her because she's a Black woman!!!!!!She's from Trinidad and she had never in her whole life experienced this before so needless to say she got very upset!!!!!They treated her with disrespect!!!!!!because she was Black!!!!!While in the store all she bought was 2 pair of stockings which she paid for at the cashier before she left the store. When she asked to see the one who had mistakenly Accused her of stealing, they would not let her confront her Accuser to ask why they thought she had stolen merchandise in the first place!!!!! They made some weak excuses because of store policy they would and could not!!!!So because of what happened to her at the Boscov's store at the Colonie center in Albany NY, she's going to tell all her Black friends what happened and not to shop there!!!!!! buyer beware! i purchased earrings for my mom for christmas 2022. i emailed and called regarding my dissatisfaction of the quality. they began to tarnish and stones were falling out. i even posted a review here and was told to contact them to see how they could help. well, they didn't help. they told me twice in response to my phone calls, that a manufacturer would contact me to see how they could help, that never happened. customer service is useless and the company doesn't stand behind their products if they are telling me a "manufacturer would contact me." i would never purchase from boscov's again and i tell everyone i know never to purchase from there. waste of money and very disappointing for my mom, i'm embarrassed to have given her the earrings in the first place. very poor quality. read more

Really enjoyed my shopping experience at this Boscov store. It is a very large store with tons of great items. The selection is extensive and the store is clean , well lit and the employees were helpful and knowledgeable. The woman's department has such a great section of clothing and I loved the intimate apparel department. The store also has a candy department that had many great items. The store prices were very reasonable-tons of great sales. Will definitely return when visiting the area read more

Went to the one on Wolf Rd just recently looked high n low for a cart was told they have 250 of them well I told the manager then you go locate 5 customers in here pushing a cart cause I haven't seen one ! Ended up going to the Christmas Tree Store n using one of theirs because the lady I was shopping with was covered in her wheelchair with clothes she wanted to purchase ! I love Boscovs. Lots of deals here. Better than Walmart or Target and friendlier staff. Only draw back rarely have sufficient cashiers. Some time have to wander around to find someone to take your money. read more

Boscov's is an amazing store with great deals! My only complaint is when I was shopping in the auditorium (where you will find the best deals in the store), the cashier named Liz was calling the book that my daughter wanted, "weird." Boscov's is an excellent store and nicely designed with superb selection!! It's a joy to shop at Boscov's, especially at Clifton Park, which is a very nice mall. I feel for retail and malls in general as the future looks bleak with the way lazy people are shopping online at the cost of so many jobs being lost per year all over the country. I regret not being able to get up to Clifton Park Center (formerly the better named Clifton Country Mall) in awhile since giving up driving for health reasons last year. I wish if this Yelp site, allowed for personal responses to the fools who have the power to strike down a location or chain because of one petty incident or something they disagree with. For the idiot who complained about 24.99% interest, that is NOT something to give the chain a 1 star rating. Prices are great at this location. I needed a new pair of sneakers and after going to famous footwear and not wanting to spend $65 for a pair i ended up here. I was happy to find a pair of Avia sneaker on clearance for $17.99 which I thought was an unbelievable deal. They also had polo association socks on sale a six pair pack for $4.99, yes they aren't polo Ralph Lauren but they were good enough for socks and at a great price. On the way to cash out I saw they had swim trunks on sale for $7.99 which was also a great deal so I picked one up as well. If price is you main concern over brand then I strongly encourage that you check them out they have some great sales. read more

I love this store, however they have a problem. I spend a lot of time and money here, but have a problem when it comes to checking out. Can never find a cashier at a register, and this has happened many times before. Today, it took me all of 25 minutes to locate a cashier and actually find a register in the clothing department. The only one open had a line a mile long. This is unfair to those of us shopping on our lunch hours or people who just want to cash out with their items in a timely fashion. In fact, there were other people complaining about it today. I wander around the clothing departments and pass at least 4 registers, with no cashier available. If you can fix this problem, I am sure you would have more people purchasing!!! read more

Overall I really do like Boscov's. I went two weeks ago to buy a jewelry armoire. Of course they were located in the furniture department, and I understand the clerks probably work on commission. Well because of the 7 or 8 choices that were all under two or three hundred dollars not a single one of the three clerks would help me. There were two women and one man. One of the women at least tried to look busy running around looking important with paperwork. The other woman was with a customer for the entire time we were there. After 30 minutes she at least said she would be with me shortly. Waited another 20 it never happened. The man was not with any customers. He kept looking over and clearly saw me standing there several times as I was there for almost an hour. Never even attempted to ask me what I wanted. I Guess he decided the commission would not worth his time. Alrighty then, I left, found what I was looking for on-line and that was that. Unfortunately for Boscov's I also needed a new sofa and washer and dryer. Would have been a great commission for the guy who just stood there. Now, I will go elsewhere. read more
