Wits End in Clifton Park is a really neat, very expansive store. Every time I go in, I feel like I could walk around for an hour and still not see everything. They have all kinds of decorations, and if you are looking for unique Christmas ornaments or special decor pieces, this place is absolutely worth checking out. It is not just seasonal either, there are gifts and decorative items for all times of year. They even carry clothing. The prices are not cheap, but the store has an upscale aura and I personally do not mind paying more for items that feel unique and well chosen. It does not feel like a big box store, it feels more like a specialty shop where you find things you would not see everywhere else. I have heard people say the staff walk around and watch customers closely. Honestly, I can understand why. The layout has to be a security challenge, there are multiple rooms, different levels, and even an upstairs. I would imagine shoplifting could be an issue in a store set up like this. For me, the staff have always been friendly and helpful. I actually wonder how they keep track of where everything is in a place that big, that alone is impressive. Around Christmas time it gets very busy, which says a lot about how popular it is. I usually make it in about once a year during the holidays, but you could shop here anytime for unique gifts. The only thing that feels a little off putting to me is the number of signs about broken ornaments and being charged 50 percent if something is damaged. I do understand why they have them, a lot of people do not watch their kids closely and accidents happen, and adults break things too. Still, seeing the signs all over the place does change the feel a bit. That said, it definitely does not stop me from coming in. Overall, I really enjoy this store and always find something interesting when I visit.

This is the first year that they not only removed the price strip on the ornament tag and replaced it with a higher sticker price, but they also now charge you for the BOX THE ORNAMENT CAME IN. I also noticed they jacked up the price of some of the more affordable jewelry. I like to support local but next year I just will not be able to support this business and will purchase online from somewhere else.

That being said the chair closest to the box office movie theater I think is the most comfortable. My only complaint is I wish the website had more up-to-date information of where the new businesses are going in. I know they're going to be getting new businesses but I don't know where they're going. I think their map is up to date for what is in the mall. I'm not around here on Sundays to go to the flea market but I do know they have a flea market the pictures look like it is an interesting time. Really? for takeout? Then they said their toaster was on the 'low' setting. I should have just asked for a refund and gotten a slice of pizza. Will never be going to this place again!

My son Edgar who is 7 and I went to target to pickup a gingerbread house kit. He was so excited. I figured this would be perfect to take his mind off things since this will be his first Christmas's since his mother left us for his bus driver. And to make things worse he caught them in the act. I wanted him to enjoy the old fashion fun of building his own little slice of Christmas. We picked up the "favorite day" brand kits. I felt they would be nice because they are a target brand... but I made the mistake of trusting the product that was constructed with greed and pure evil not Christmas spirit. As Edgar started unboxing his kit I instantly knew something was wrong. He tried putting the pieces together and nothing fit properly. He was so frustrated the tears started flowing down his face. To make matters worse he said the white creamy icing reminded him of his bus driver. He tried over and over to make the pieces fit and the house tumbled down continuously. He said I wish mom was here she would fix it and I questioned myself as a father. The pieces of the house were constructed so poorly no one would be able to make these fit. Edgar then started acting out in frustration. Taking the individual components of the house and trying to swallow them whole saying this is what mommy did with yellow bus Bennie. Let's just say thanks to target I lost my Christmas and now my son. I'll never forget the pain in his eyes as it kept toppling over. Christmas is about family, Jesus, good times, and memories. All I got out of the favorite day target brand ginger bread house was a memory. A horrible memory that can't be forgotten. Go to Walmart. God bless.

This store has seen better days…read more Years and years (and years) ago, this was one of my go-to stores for many items, chief among these were men's clothing and housewares. But the "feel" in some of these areas has gone downhill; a few times while I was walking around, I had to remind myself I wasn't in Marshall's. But the experience here is not all bad. Their curtain selection still remains among the best anywhere I've shopped, and they continue to be my go-to store at least for those. I suppose you could call all the cracks in the floor tiles "artistic," but I expect it's too much of an expense to repair those. Unlike some of the chains considered more of a bargain, the shelves here were always well stocked and in order. The problem in many cases is that a lot of items just are not competitive in price, and it's less incentive for the customer to have to go online to obtain a coupon for a discount, as per signs on many shelves throughout the store. I'm glad this store is still open, because I do want to consider it as an option. But... for how much longer??

The…read morefirst time we came in, there were two photographers in the same room, one of which seemed to have experience, and the other did not. You can guess which one we had. (I should preface that I used to work for a photography studio, so I DO have some credentials here). This was not a time to be training someone, when a family of 3 with one very young child comes in, during a busy day right before a holiday. Neither of the photographers had any idea what to do in terms of ideas, or props, or any way to get our daughter to smile. Very limited in terms of how many shots you get, regardless of whether the pictures would have great or not. I counted at least a dozen photos that would have been fantastic, IF the photographer had not had the camera face down in her lap. Today, we went in, hoping that maybe things would be different on a quiet day, and now our family has grown to 2 children, but essentially the same thing happened. Except we had 1 photographer in the room, which is fine, but the same issues applied. No attempt to bring props out for them, or any real posing ideas when one didn't work. I understand that when its just the kids, we as parents are free to help get them to smile or laugh, but i'm still unsure how to do that while being IN the photo. Afterwards, felt very pressured to sign up for the jcpenny photos membership. The sitting fee is also ridiculous. $20/person regardless of age or whether we got photos. It seems that there is minimal effort put in when they know they have your money just for showing up. Will be going to iSmile or a similar place in the future, where there are no sitting fees, (and because of that, the photographers seem to WANT to get good photos for you, since that's how the business makes money), and anytime we've walked by, everyone seems trained on how to take photos of kids. i.e. HAVE THE CAMERA READY AT ALL TIMES TO TAKE A PICTURE, SINCE KIDS ARE UNPREDICTABLE.

Maybe you've been thinking about buying everything you would need for a turkey frier at home. Or maybe there's a particular BBQ sauce you haven't been able to find elsewhere.
