I figured this would be perfect to take his mind off things since this will be his first Christmas's since his mother left us for his bus driver. And to make things worse he caught them in the act. I wanted him to enjoy the old fashion fun of building his own little slice of Christmas. We picked up the "favorite day" brand kits. I felt they would be nice because they are a target brand... but I made the mistake of trusting the product that was constructed with greed and pure evil not Christmas spirit. As Edgar started unboxing his kit I instantly knew something was wrong. He tried putting the pieces together and nothing fit properly. He was so frustrated the tears started flowing down his face. To make matters worse he said the white creamy icing reminded him of his bus driver. He tried over and over to make the pieces fit and the house tumbled down continuously. He said I wish mom was here she would fix it and I questioned myself as a father. The pieces of the house were constructed so poorly no one would be able to make these fit. Edgar then started acting out in frustration. Taking the individual components of the house and trying to swallow them whole saying this is what mommy did with yellow bus Bennie. Let's just say thanks to target I lost my Christmas and now my son. I'll never forget the pain in his eyes as it kept toppling over. Christmas is about family, Jesus, good times, and memories. But, I like shopping at JCPenney for clothing. I don't know why. Their shirts fit me well. They are organized well, so I can either locate quickly what I want or know that I need to move on. They don't play annoying music (usually) and their staff aren't pushy or non-existent. They have more than clothes too, though I generally am only here for that. I don't come here as much as the one in Crossgates mall, but when I lived in Clifton Park this is almost exclusively where I shopped.

Okay, they do have some of this stuff, but it's nowhere near as bad, as intelligence-insulting, or as in-your-face. The employees here are very friendly - naturally friendly. That's probably because Boscovs is THE anchor store in this mall, as compared to their store in Colonie Center which is competing with you-know-who. I can't give this store more stars, however, because their line of men's clothing - the primary reason I'd come here - is hit or miss. Their jeans are overpriced, and they typically don't have them in my waist size (30 - rarely do I see any below 32). It's the same for their shorts. On this particular visit, they had a huge sale on t-shirts and polo shirts at a really good price. But they did not have a single shirt in the colors that interested me in size Medium. I suspect they bought a huge selection of overstock from somewhere else in the sizes they couldn't sell. At different times of the year, though, I've had really good luck with sweatshirts, flannel shirts, and sweaters at really good prices. I've also had better luck with many other departments in the store. When I shop here for men's clothes I have to go in with the mindset that I won't necessarily find what I want. But I can always go to the nearby Kohl's afterward.
