Well I guess I'll say merry Christmas... but unfortunately this year my families Christmas will be far from merry. My son Edgar who is 7 and I went to target to pickup a gingerbread house kit. He was so excited. I figured this would be perfect to take his mind off things since this will be his first Christmas's since his mother left us for his bus driver. And to make things worse he caught them in the act. I wanted him to enjoy the old fashion fun of building his own little slice of Christmas. We picked up the "favorite day" brand kits. I felt they would be nice because they are a target brand... but I made the mistake of trusting the product that was constructed with greed and pure evil not Christmas spirit. As Edgar started unboxing his kit I instantly knew something was wrong. He tried putting the pieces together and nothing fit properly. He was so frustrated the tears started flowing down his face. To make matters worse he said the white creamy icing reminded him of his bus driver. He tried over and over to make the pieces fit and the house tumbled down continuously. He said I wish mom was here she would fix it and I questioned myself as a father. The pieces of the house were constructed so poorly no one would be able to make these fit. Edgar then started acting out in frustration. Taking the individual components of the house and trying to swallow them whole saying this is what mommy did with yellow bus Bennie. Let's just say thanks to target I lost my Christmas and now my son. I'll never forget the pain in his eyes as it kept toppling over. Christmas is about family, Jesus, good times, and memories. All I got out of the favorite day target brand ginger bread house was a memory. A horrible memory that can't be forgotten. Go to Walmart. God bless. read more

We were able to find exactly what we needed and a little bit more! Service was friendly and efficient. The facilities were clean and welcoming and though busy the place is large enough that you don't feel it. We used the restroom and it was clean again despite a lot of people filtering in and out. The checkout process was also fairly quick despite all of the people!! read more

Store Director Christina is one of the rudest people I've ever come across in my entire life. She takes absolutely no accountability and just keeps making excuses and blames you instead of trying to fix the situation and continues to roll her eyes and walk away from you. She should not be running a store. She is not equal about her employees. She just blamed them for the reasons why they're having problems instead of her since she is the director, she just makes excuses, but she should be fired big time. The entire store of employees has issues with her in every single department but too afraid to speak up because she's a narcissist. You can tell how miserable people who are under her have been. It's depressing and people have reached out and quit because of her in extreme ways and she wonders why. read more

Here mostly for an online order pick up or for Starbucks when they offer a discount. The pickup process has improved over time and moves by quicker with more employees stationed there. The staff was pretty helpful trying to help me find something I was looking for. If there is a deal I will continue to shop online and do a pick up. I know a few of my friends love shopping at target, I for some reason stuck to online shopping. read more

I was not expecting to be writing a review for Target, but I was so impressed with a recent experience that I felt the need to share. My wife and I were heading to the check-out registers hand carrying just four items and an empty reusable Target bag. There were two registers open with lines of people pushing baskets filled with goods. The self-checkout stations were all busy and a few more customers were on queue there. Just as we stopped to peruse where we would choose to lineup, a voice spoke out to us asking if we were planning to use either a credit or debit card. As we turned to the voice speaking, we observed an employee standing at a small table amongst some clothing displays holding a portable, wireless, credit card terminal. We responded in the affirmative to using a credit card and she promptly checked us out and provided a printed receipt. Two minutes and we were on our way. It wasn't the technology that amazed me, I first saw this over twenty years ago in Europe, it was the customer service. Recognizing that we had few items and our own bag for carryout, this employee singled us out for a quick and easy checkout process. Thank you, Target store manager, for effectively managing your staff. During this current time of difficulty finding workers, I should also mention that I was impressed with the number of employees I saw throughout the store stocking merchandise. I love Target. Unlike their competitors who start with the letter "W" or "K," this chain usually has friendly and knowledgeable staff, clean aisles, good prices, and customers who aren't crazy. When I lived around the corner from here I would stop by all the time, and even now I occasionally come here. One thing I rarely buy here is clothing, especially shoes. I find their clothing sections (at least the men's section) to be limited in selection, sometimes out of stock in the sizes I need, and their shoe choices in particular are skimpy. That is why they don't get that fifth star. Their regular items are arranged well in the store. Aisles are extremely well lit and usually very clean. Their food choices won't rival a Price Chopper but for most items I need in a pinch I can get here. It is a great all-in-one store with a huge parking lot, convenient access in multiple directions to the roads that lead in and out, and has great hours. read more

They had issues long before the pandemic. Prices for items not accurately listed. One low price listed, another price shows up at scanner. Self pay scanners don't work. Not enough personnel to help. Shopping at Target has gone from fun to a true dystopian nightmare. read more

I inquired about a flu shot, that was completed, however we asked the pharmacist, Does Target sell lysol spray disinfectant and she replied no and to use deluted bleach for various reasons, however, as we walked near the flu injection station we see she has a large can in plain sight Is target holding out lysol from customers? This store has done an outstanding job during the pandemic. I was afraid to go shopping during the Coronavirus outbreak but Target was the only store where I felt safe and at ease. They were one of the first places to put stickers on the floor to mark how far apart you should be from others during checkout. They cleaned the checkout registers after every single use and they continue to do so 3 months later. All of their employees wore masks. They appointed a person to clean the shopping carts and stand by the door to make sure that customers walking in got a clean one. They have announcements over the loud speakers to remind everyone to remain 6 feet apart and wear a mask while in the store. I really commend the manager and the team of employees at this store doing everything to keep everyone safe. Thank you so much! read more

I came to the realization that I've been leaving reviews on Yelp this week in part just for myself, to leave myself a cookie-crumb trail to remember the minor differentiators between mostly indistinguishable chains. So take this review FWIW in that context, because as far as indistinguishable chains go, well, Target is one of them. This is a somewhat larger Target than the ones on Route 7 and at Mohawk Commons. It's on a reverse layout than those stores, which I can share with you because I got lost in this one, having dully failed to note the layout upon entering. As such, it has a modestly better selection of items. Whence I came to this region, the Targets had Starbucks in them, the promise of which made shopping at the store much easier. This Target (maybe all of them in the region) just has their sad little snack stand, which reminds me of the old Zayre's chain. And that is pretty much the only thing I can tell you about this Target to differentiate it from every other Target on the planet. So varying from Target's quintessentially three-star rating would be strange. read more

Despite a matter of a few days, when I came in today, I found this place in shambles. Directions in the store that made it easy to get from point A to point B were blocked by alternate routing because of "social distancing" which made getting from the entrance to the A aisles, quite a bit more challenging - going through womenswear and into the main alleyway heading to A. I later needed something in the F-aisles, but seeing this store's changes really made me wonder if my better review a few days ago, really had some effect on this stores' changes - because this store turned out to be the worst I used today and something that really turned me off from trying to shop here again - even if the trips I'm using are on Shipt alone. I feel lost when I walk through this Target. I haven't checked the square footage, but it feels like it's larger than the other Target stores in the Capital District, or else it's organized in a way that I have to walk more to get to the departments that interest me. Other than that, there's nothing bad about this store. It's a good, basic Target, well maintained, with a nice grocery section. This place feels like it could be a good one-stop shop. read more

I'm using a lot of plastic these days. I should recycle more but really should just use less plastic. I should produce less waste, and then I'd feel less guilty. To that end Target is a guilty pleasure. Target is a improvement to the big W, no question about that. I don't know why they make all the associate females wear those tan pants one size too small but they are always busting at the seams in there. It's nearly stylish sometimes in the mens zone. I bought many socks today and feel rich because of it. Target has everything clean and ordered and girlie loves going there, spending hours poking around and getting things she didn't know she needed until she saw it. They open at 8am, early enough for me to make a stop before work, and pass Mt. Landfill in Colonie (you know the one, right next to the river) on my way to the office. read more

I'm so upset. This is my favorite Target but after the way I was treated yesterday I'm weary to return. I use Cartwheel and coupons on EVERYTHING and rarely ever have a problem. Yesterday I went in and was using coupons and one would not scan.. there were 10 people behind me and the "young boy" manager was right there and would not really help the cashier. I stood there embarrassed for 10 minutes while she struggled and no one opened another register for about 8 minutes and the manager really did not help. Of course customers were mad at me..(for using coupons I guess) but it was awful. I'm in there 3 times a week so you would think Simone would say sorry or help. Totally disappointed. read more

Horrible, horrible, horrible!! There was an item my son was anxiously awaiting. It was one of the Funko Pop vinyl figures. He is young and saved all his money for one that is a Target exclusive. We got in line very early the day it was to be released, only one other person behind us. My son was determined! He knew about a month ahead about this release, saved his money and even asked this Target location beforehand where he would need to go to in the store to purchase it. He was so excited! He was telling us how "Nintendo never did this before but they were releasing a Pikachu, at only Target!" When we went in he knew right where to go. He was told " Sorry, we are redoing the Funko section and we haven't brought them out yet." I didn't want to come back for fear the item would be sold out. I asked for a manager, I wanted to know if they could take one from the stockroom as I was told the reason this item wasn't brought out was due to the redoing of the asile. He told us, sorry but we don't have any on hand. I thought this was suspicious since we were already told they had them and they weren't being brought out yet. I let it go at that point until we were checking out with other items. My son mentioned that he was disappointed that they didn't have what he was looking for. The cashier actually said " I got one of those!" I asked how that was possible? She said " I am so sorry, the employees probably got them all." Really?! Will never trust this company again. Take away a toy from a child who has been waiting and saving?! Can you get any lower!? read more

Understaffed! Self check out had problems after starting payment the thing says we need staff. NO ONE COMES! WE WAIT 15 minutes. Someone walks out looks then goes back in the office. Finally someone comes out and help. It was so ridiculous! I will never go back to that location again! I rarely go to Target anyway, and this happens. read more

The reason I am giving it a 1 star review? The staff. Out of the easily 2 dozen staff members I saw and were within a few feet of, Only 2 even bothered to look in my direction and say hello. The cashier I dealt with had a very sour puss look on her face and did not speak to me nor the customer in front of me once through out our check outs. Believe me when I say this, It's stuff like that that doesn't make you want to come back to a store. And now for the horror story of this review which is totally and honestly true. It's the reason I am giving this store a 1 star review. I entered the store and went back to the Electronics section, This was where I encountered the first Target staff member I've seen in the store. She was a heavy set woman, which is not the issue and something I don't care about, who's work shirt didn't even come down to her hips. So a bit of her belly was showing under her shirt. And the most disgusting part - Most of her ass was showing. She had pants that were clearly a bit too small and despite having a belt on, She had half of her ass hanging out. And no she was not bent over, She was standing up and walking around with her ass out for all to see. Oh and a little nasty fun fact - She wasn't wearing underwear. I mean honestly, What kind of management allows that in a store? It's freaking disgusting and if that's a template as to how the store is run, It's not one that I plan on ever going back to. read more

Clifton Park Target is a Target like any other pretty much, and for that they deserve 4 Stars.

This Target is pretty good, but lacks in supplies. The prices aren't too expensive when you're on a budget and the service is pretty good. However, the food isles are almost non-existent. They have the smallest food section I've ever seen inside of a Target and that really sucks when I need to get groceries, but don't want to go to Walmart or Price Chopper. I'd recommend this Target to anyone buying small appliances, things for their kitchen or bathroom, or anything but food really. Also, very easy to return things to them and they are very nice to you about it. read more

I always find what I'm looking for, and any time I have called to ask for an item to be held for me, employees have always done their best to accommodate. Targets far and wide have the same basic setup, now that most of them have added food, you can get most of your shopping needs fulfilled in a one stop shop, throw in the newly opened Starbucks & a Target red card and you can't go wrong! They tempt you with the cheap dollar bins in the front of the store, coaxing one into many an impulse buy from anything to giant charleston chews to cheap disney books and plastic junk that lasts only a use or two...and yet we still buy...how can we NOT?!? A deals a deals a deal....if you know whats good for you...just close your eyes and keep moving, its safer that way! Don't even glance in that direction...And lastly, don't let those enticing bins negatively color your shopping experience, for there are many other worthy items further in the store to meet all your non guilty pleasure shopping needs, and that is my advice for you all- from one bargain bin shopper to the next.... read more
