They pulled it in almost right away and on my way home they called with an estimate surprisingly low and explained how and why they were able to keep it at a minimum. I gave them the go ahead and less than two hours later they called to say it was done. They also texted an app to me, making the credit card payment process super easy. My truck is so quiet now I'm afraid I'm going to hear whatever else may be wrong with it (smiling). I am totally sold on Big Al's and have already started spreading the word to my friends and family. Erich took the time to listen to my nasty noises and troubleshoot with me at no profit to him. A few weeks later, my friend still couldn't get the tranny fixed and I decided it was time to take my car out of my friend's garage and in to Schmidt. Erich explained my problems and showed me the cause of the malfunction. Furthermore, he spent time with me and explained what I can do at home should the problem reoccur. This week, the culprit reared its head again. I tempted my hand at tending to the tranny, but was having trouble. I went to Erich and he gave me the tool I needed to finish the job! If you can find a mechanic that will show you what you need to do to maintain your tranny at home and then give you the tools to do it yourself, then I think you've found a winner. The garage appears well maintained. Schmidt is personable and professional. He made me feel respected (unlike those condescending mechanics).
