Nestled in downtown Kalamazoo, Brick and Brine specializes in cocktails and steaks, but they also offer a variety of menu options to fit all tastes. We celebrated my father's 70th birthday here, and it didn't disappoint. They offer a variety of spaces to fit small and large groups. We hosted 10 people in their main dining room, and it was the perfect ambiance. Their dinner rolls are complimentary, super fluffy and come with a side of black salted butter. We also started with the house salad, and I split two specials - a potatoes au gratin dish along with a dish called Jafar's Chicken. Both were incredible. I highly recommend venturing here for any occasion! Thank you, Kenzie and team for an amazing time!

The seating was uncomfortable- our knees were touching the underside of the table because the tables in the section are short and not meant to be dining tables for a full on sit down meal. My fiancé is 6' and his knees wouldn't fit under the table so he spent his whole meal eating hunched forward over the table. Service was ok. Food was mediocre.

SOMETIMES they'll announce it but it's random and very rarely. Because of where they're located in the downtown area, I walk there, and when you spend most of your time walking there and find that they have nothing you want/can eat, then you just wasted half of, if not your entire lunch break walking there and back with no time to get anything else. When you're a walk-in pay-by-the-pound service and are serving 4-6 completely random foods each day, you could get just about anything. If it's something you don't like or are allergic to or can't eat - then you're out of luck. You just played the lotto and lost and will probably not get a decent meal or may eat something you hate if you're desperate. I have left hungry there the last 3 times because I had no idea what they were serving or didn't feel like paying for spaghetti and garlic bread or stewed eggplant. Sometimes you get lucky and get something luxurious or something you like or will find out that you'll love, but it's also made by a student who this will be the first time ever making it, so it may be dried out or over-salted. Rarely is anything undercooked though. Just from the sporratic nature alone, I cannot really recommend havirmill unless you really don't care about what you're eating.. which in the case of that, I doubt you would be on yelp looking to see if it's worth going to.

600 is such a cute place for a lovely meal!…read more We have been multiple times but stopped in on a recent sunny afternoon for some lunch. 600 is so light and airy, we really love the atmosphere!! We had a really great waitress, I wish I would have gotten her name! She was doing the job of hostess and waitress to multiple tables, and doing it all very well! We ordered a chicken sandwich and a salad for our lunch entrees! Both were very good and presented very well! While the food is good and quality feels high - the price is also on the high side. For a sandwich and a salad, waters to drink, we spent over $50 for our lunch! Just something to be aware of! While we had time - the experience was not fast. Something to be aware of if needing a quick lunch. The restaurant was not overly busy but the wait was a little long to receive our order. I ordered a salmon salad - the menu nor the website specify if the salmon is wild caught or farmed. I would really love to know this information - the price would be much better reflected if it were indeed wild caught. :)

The service was on the slower side and could have used more attention to detail--coffee refills were missed, and we didn't have spoons to stir our coffee. That said, our server was kind and had a gentle, pleasant demeanor. The food overall was very good. Only one person in our group was disappointed--the chicken and waffles were described as dry, with the chicken coating lacking flavor. Everyone else enjoyed their meals, and the desserts were a standout; they were excellent and loved by all. One area that could use improvement is the upstairs bathroom. While it was well stocked with supplies, it needed cleaning. Clear signage for the upstairs restroom and perhaps a nice piece of artwork would also be welcome touches. Overall, a nice brunch experience with great desserts and room for a few improvements.

As long as you know that this is an established fact for the greater Kalamazoo area, you can go into a place like Los Amigos and still have a very decent experience!! ;) Just don't set the bar too high, ya know what I'm sayin?? There are multiple Los Amigos locations nearby. We have tried each one, multiple times actually, but for some reason the Stadium drive is our favorite! The service is great, quick, and friendly. We prefer the atmosphere, though I'm not sure exactly what would be different from the others. We just like it here best!! :) Of course every good Mexican joint starts with a healthy dose of chips and salsa! Los Amigos is very prompt in their delivery of usually warm chips and fresh tasting salsa. My favorite part of this is that they automatically provide everyone with their own little bowl for their own salsa! Good job, Los!! :) My husband and I have found our groove. Occasionally we veer from tradition and get different things, but for the most part we love to order the fajitas - the fajitas el amigos, which comes with steak, chicken, and shrimp. We order the SINGLE order... it's SO much food!!! This EASILY serves 2 people, usually with some leftovers!! This meal comes with one plate of sides... rice, beans, and the "mexican salad" which basically consists of iceberg lettuce, some pico, a small dollop of sour cream and guac. If you like any of those things a lot, get an extra side. I usually ask for an extra side of sour cream. Yum! We also ask for extra tortillas, which they gladly include without extra charge!! :) Now for the best part... QUESO! Maybe this tells you a lot about my very americanized view points when it comes to Mexican foods... ;) But I just think queso is a must!! Most of the time we just order a side of queso to accompany our fajitas, but on this specific trip in we got the queso fundido with chorizo! WOW! We used to order this ALL of the time at the old Mi Ranchito Tres out in Otsego, but alas, very tragically, they haven't been around in YEARS... they were such a fav! Los Amigo's take on this dish isn't what I remember from my earlier years, but it's still pretty darn delicious and it was a very nice addition to the fajitas!! You can put it in a tortilla alone, but I like it on a chip or slathered across my fajita meats in my tortilla with toppings - YUM! And if you like spice, don't sleep on the RED El Yucateco hot sauce on the table. That stuff is fire! ;) Both in great flavor and great kick! Start small if you aren't a fan of pretty decent spice level. I love several drops across the top of each fajita! YUM! Basically - this dinner is my love language! If you want a yummy, granted probably very americanized Mexican dinner, check out Los Amigos on Stadium!!

Everything that was ordered at our table was so delicious and I'd highly recommend. One of my kids ordered a cheeseburger and fries. The bun was warm, soft, flavorful and the beef was cooked and seasoned perfectly also. We shared loaded tots for an appetizer and they were really good, covered in cheese, bacon and green onions. I ordered the mango coconut curry chicken and I'm dying to have it over and over again. My mother in law ordered the chicken pad thai and they also nailed it with this one. It could've been spicier (we didn't ask if they had spice levels). But even without it being spicier it was still really delicious and worth ordering again. My husband ordered the low country shrimp and grits and he said it was perfect. My other daughter had mac & cheese which was homemade (not too dry, not too cheesy), the pasta was cooked perfectly, and it has fresh, hand battered chicken tenders on top that were outstanding *we all loved this one*. Our waitress was super kind, helpful, never left our drinks empty and answered our many questions about the menu and was even kind to our two young kids. It's a roadhouse so expect it to be loud in there. There were sports playing on most of the tvs, the windows were open and the beautiful sun was shining in. The place was clean and we enjoyed ourselves. If you haven't been you better get there.

The food was first class, mouth-wateringly delicious, cooked to perfection, beautifully presented, and served with a smile. For an appetizer we had the Sherry Onion Dip which has caramelized onion, roasted garlic, cream cheese, and a pita-like bread for dipping... it was awesome. Then I had a dinner house salad which features mixed greens, dried apricots, candied walnuts, sliced brie, citrus vinaigrette... I loved it. For the main entree I had the 10 oz prime rib with mashed potatoes and veggies... Everything was perfect. I wish we had a Martell's in my hometown. The service was first class, professional, friendly, and attentive. Martell's is a perfect for date night as it is elegant and has tables that provide an intimate setting.
