Because of where they're located in the downtown area, I walk there, and when you spend most of your time walking there and find that they have nothing you want/can eat, then you just wasted half of, if not your entire lunch break walking there and back with no time to get anything else. When you're a walk-in pay-by-the-pound service and are serving 4-6 completely random foods each day, you could get just about anything. If it's something you don't like or are allergic to or can't eat - then you're out of luck. You just played the lotto and lost and will probably not get a decent meal or may eat something you hate if you're desperate. I have left hungry there the last 3 times because I had no idea what they were serving or didn't feel like paying for spaghetti and garlic bread or stewed eggplant. Sometimes you get lucky and get something luxurious or something you like or will find out that you'll love, but it's also made by a student who this will be the first time ever making it, so it may be dried out or over-salted. Rarely is anything undercooked though. And if you like spice, don't sleep on the RED El Yucateco hot sauce on the table. That stuff is fire! ;) Both in great flavor and great kick!
