Nestled in downtown Kalamazoo, Brick and Brine specializes in cocktails and steaks, but they also offer a variety of menu options to fit all tastes. We celebrated my father's 70th birthday here, and it didn't disappoint. They offer a variety of spaces to fit small and large groups. We hosted 10 people in their main dining room, and it was the perfect ambiance. Their dinner rolls are complimentary, super fluffy and come with a side of black salted butter. We also started with the house salad, and I split two specials - a potatoes au gratin dish along with a dish called Jafar's Chicken. Both were incredible. I highly recommend venturing here for any occasion! Thank you, Kenzie and team for an amazing time!

The seating was uncomfortable- our knees were touching the underside of the table because the tables in the section are short and not meant to be dining tables for a full on sit down meal. My fiancé is 6' and his knees wouldn't fit under the table so he spent his whole meal eating hunched forward over the table. Service was ok. Food was mediocre.

Or if you prefer, you can opt for outside patio dining closer to the gorgeous pond. I also enjoyed the stonework features on the building both inside and out. The food was first class, mouth-wateringly delicious, cooked to perfection, beautifully presented, and served with a smile. For an appetizer we had the Sherry Onion Dip which has caramelized onion, roasted garlic, cream cheese, and a pita-like bread for dipping... it was awesome. Then I had a dinner house salad which features mixed greens, dried apricots, candied walnuts, sliced brie, citrus vinaigrette... I loved it. For the main entree I had the 10 oz prime rib with mashed potatoes and veggies... Everything was perfect. I wish we had a Martell's in my hometown. The service was first class, professional, friendly, and attentive. Martell's is a perfect for date night as it is elegant and has tables that provide an intimate setting. But it is also wonderful for friends meeting up, family gatherings and celebrations, and groups. I'd love to return and dine on the patio. I'd be willing to drive a couple of hours to have dinner here again.

We rolled rum, savory, and fruity. I was like, how are they gonna make it savory and fruity?? THEY DID. it was yummy as hell. For appetizer we got the duck wings. i've never had duck. its tastes like chicken and was so good i sucked the bones clean like a ravenous beast. I got the rainbow trout as an entree and my date got the oishii shrimp. I liked his more than mine, so we switched plates halfway through because he is in love with me. the trout was also good though. I meant to take pictures for my review but food was too good all I got photos of were the empty plates. I can't do anything right.

Louise was so helpful in making the booking, and was able to accommodate an increase in our party only about 24 hours before arrival. Our servers, Sydney and Elizabeth, knew the menu, gave excellent recommendations and provided top-notch service. The atmosphere was great, and we could hold conversations without yelling. Our family ordered a wide variety of dishes (steak, pork chop, salmon, rainbow trout, swedish meatballs) and everyone thought their dinner was wonderful. Principle also served butter noodles and grilled cheese for the children in the party. The fish of the day (rainbow trout) and the Seared Halloumi appetizer plate were especially delightful.

600 is such a cute place for a lovely meal!…read more We have been multiple times but stopped in on a recent sunny afternoon for some lunch. 600 is so light and airy, we really love the atmosphere!! We had a really great waitress, I wish I would have gotten her name! She was doing the job of hostess and waitress to multiple tables, and doing it all very well! We ordered a chicken sandwich and a salad for our lunch entrees! Both were very good and presented very well! While the food is good and quality feels high - the price is also on the high side. For a sandwich and a salad, waters to drink, we spent over $50 for our lunch! Just something to be aware of! While we had time - the experience was not fast. Something to be aware of if needing a quick lunch. The restaurant was not overly busy but the wait was a little long to receive our order. I ordered a salmon salad - the menu nor the website specify if the salmon is wild caught or farmed. I would really love to know this information - the price would be much better reflected if it were indeed wild caught. :)

The service was on the slower side and could have used more attention to detail--coffee refills were missed, and we didn't have spoons to stir our coffee. That said, our server was kind and had a gentle, pleasant demeanor. The food overall was very good. Only one person in our group was disappointed--the chicken and waffles were described as dry, with the chicken coating lacking flavor. Everyone else enjoyed their meals, and the desserts were a standout; they were excellent and loved by all. One area that could use improvement is the upstairs bathroom. While it was well stocked with supplies, it needed cleaning. Clear signage for the upstairs restroom and perhaps a nice piece of artwork would also be welcome touches. Overall, a nice brunch experience with great desserts and room for a few improvements.
