I normally don't leave negative reviews, but this experience felt worth mentioning. We came in on 4/19 around 1:30 PM and were greeted by the hostess, whose name I believe was Lucy or Lucky. Short Asian girl with heavy makeup. Unfortunately, her demeanor was noticeably unwelcoming from the moment we walked in. She seemed irritated to assist us, was very cold while taking our name, and appeared visibly annoyed when my mom asked a couple of simple questions. It created an uncomfortable first impression, which was disappointing given the positive experiences we've had here before. Front desk interactions set the tone for the entire visit. Hopefully this was just an off day and not the standard moving forward.

TL;DR version: Visited on a Saturday about noon. Establishment is has very nice decor. The Premium menu selection is pricey but worth the money. Place is spacious, service is attentive, and has been deemed my new current fav KBBQ restaurant. Detailed version: Conveniently located off of Colima. lol (joking cause everything is off of Colima) But Thirsty Cow is surrounded by a lot of shops that have my interest. Costco, Costco Gas, Round1, other food spots, Frank and Sons...Target! Everything is around here. We've got done with our shopping and fun stuff and it was time for lunch. I thought I would be interesting to try out a new KKBQ spot. None of us have been and it was going to be a nice experience for everyone. Visited on a Saturday about noon Entering the establishment is a fairly large area greeted by a large logo of the restaurant and a bunch of soju bottles. To the right was a nice looking bar with some TVs and the way to the restroom. The waiting area had cold / hot water and popcorn which was nice. The rest of the restaurant was equally nice and very spacious. Party of 4 sat us in a booth with plenty of room for wiggling or possibly laying down. I always want to try the premium section of the menu. Decided to pay for lunch so we pretty much tried everything on the premium section. Our favorites were the Wagyu Delmonico Steak and the Thirsty Cow Black Angus Woodae Galbi. We were so impressed with the Premium selection that we forgot about the everything below it. Luckily there was a part 2 and during our second visit we were able to add some of the selection from the Choice portion into our meals. I think although Choice has some of my favs, the Premium section is where I will be eating during my visits. We did notice there were different types of salt provided and wanted to try them. The nieces loved the Rosemary Italian Black truffle seat salt. Lastly, I usually don't have room for dessert or care for it but since I am way too deep, might as well. Visiting Thirsty Cow has introduced me and the nieces to Melona bars and we've been hooked. Good job!! Parking: large private lot VERDICT: Rinse and repeat

Been to their sister company Niku X, which seemed to be a cool place. I honestly didn't know what to expect from this place. We got there about an hour and a half prior to our reservation and informed the gentleman in the front. They seated us pretty quickly. We did the platinum tier. Our waitress, Stephanie, was so kind, sweet, and attentive. She explained everything to us. She helped us with our drinks, she helped me order the food and explain how the ordering works. Food and drinks came out super fast. I'm not used to kbbq, so I was trying to get the hang of cooking lol. The meats that they provide is absolutely amazing. The sauces they have add to the flavor of the meat as well. You can order the food pretty much a few minutes after they bring it to your table if you want to keep ordering. They came out and sang happy birthday to me and gave me a Chubby Cattle Birthday hat lol It's a cool experience, food is great, service was amazing. I can't say enough good things about the service. My wife and I were talking about how incredible it is that they handle such a crazy fast paced environment. If you're looking for a top notch spot for a special occasion, or just to go grab some bomb food, this is an awesome spot to take into consideration! I would definitely recommend it!!

Extremely quick service too! Food was quick to come out, so very minimal wait time between meat orders. Ambiance: 4/5: The decor is great, the only minor setback is the tight location. But there's decent amount of parking. Really enjoyed the openess of this location. Great tables, great seating.

These two gentlemen worked well together to give everyone great service. We did the standard dinner and boy oh boy there are lots of options to choose from! Be prepared to take the ambiance home with you.

Unfortunately, this particular location in McKinley, Corona was very disappointing. The service was horrible. Our server was rude, not friendly at all, and didn't even smile. If you're in the service industry, basic respect and courtesy go a long way, especially when dealing with customers. Sadly, that was completely missing. We also spoke to the manager regarding the brisket, which was tough and rubbery, but she didn't seem to care at all. No concern, no effort to resolve the issue. To make things worse, our server went on break and told us someone would cover--but no one ever came to check on us or take our orders. We were left trying to get anyone's attention, and even when I was clearly waving for help, the staff ignored us. Orders took forever--at least 10-15 minutes each time--even though the restaurant wasn't busy. My husband asked for a Diet Coke refill and it never came until we had to ask again. We love Gen Korean BBQ, but this location was a huge letdown. Poor service, lack of attention, and no accountability. Unfortunately, we will not be coming back to this branch and would not recommend it. Do yourself a favor and go to a different location.

It's a very small lot which tends to alway be packed. I believe there's no fee for it so it's luck of the draw getting a spot there. Give or take 8 to 10 spots the most. There's a parking lot behind that little walk way which is valet for a small fee. That too can get pretty packed during peak hours. Residential parking available if you could find a spot on the street. Back to food, they do take reservations if it's 8 or more I believe. Or else it's first come first served and they will not seat you till the whole party is there. We thought even with an early 5:30 reservations on a Sunday would be mellow but it was packed when we walked in. Everything was set and ready for you with all the sides and a bottle of ice water. They had two tables connected to each other where we were seated. Three of four tiers on meat options with prices starting around 33.00 per persons and upwards depending on the tier. We stuck with the lower options as it's tends to have what we like. You order three meats at a time and then you go on with your grilling. Bottomless sides and everything else except drunks. Everything is alway great and the meats have alway been nice. Service is a hit or miss but tonight it was great. The gentlemen was pretty efficient and very friendly. Didn't seem unbothered like a few other experiences we had here. Also it was a late celebration for my belittle birthday so they brought out a little chocolate cookie cake for an all the people celebrating birthdays. A fun little music medley that was played with the lights off and lazer light show. A fun little party while you're dining. I'm surprises that this visit, the waiter even helped up grilled which we tend to alway do ourself. A nice little gesture. The crowd is alway a lively bunch and this place does get PACKED so be prepared to wait for a table.

After reading other reviews, I realized that many customers have had similar issues, which suggests this may be a recurring problem. For customers: Please be cautious. If the same management and practices are still in place, I recommend avoiding this buffet. For the owner: If you value your customers, I strongly encourage you to closely review how your staff interacts with them. I must say this was the worst Korean BBQ buffet experience I have ever had. We arrived at 8:00 PM on a Sunday, excited because it had been recommended by friends. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. The buffet has a 2-hour time limit, yet our orders took about 25 minutes each to arrive. On top of that, a staff member told us we could only order 3 items at a time, despite there being 30+ items on the menu. This combination of long wait times and strict ordering limits made it nearly impossible to enjoy the meal. If a restaurant is concerned about customers eating too much, then a buffet-style business may not be the right model. Customers should not feel rushed, restricted, or unable to enjoy the food they paid for. In fact, we did not even have enough foods or time to eat! And at the end, you came and ask if we want to eat more? You are kidding, right? Even more concerning was the hygiene. At one point, there were two small trays of bean sprouts on our table - one used and one fresh. Because no one cleared the table, we stacked the new plate on top of the old one. A staff member then took leftovers from the used plate (only a few pieces) and poured them onto the fresh plate, Seriously? This is not only inappropriate but raises serious FOOD SAFETY concerns. Additionally, the table itself was sticky, which further reflected poor cleanliness standards. We are paying customers and expect to be treated with basic respect and provided with safe, hygienic service. Unfortunately, this experience fell far below acceptable standards.
