We cane here to try their Music Bingo night. The DJ was great, spoke clearly and had a lot of energy to keep the night going. The patio area is big and has tons of high and low tables set with some strings of white lights overhead. Great service! Good menu variety too. I had their street tacos (chicken & steak) 10/10 and the giant Bavarian Pretzel with mustard and beer infused cheese. 10/10 super soft, chewy and lightly brushed with salt. Loved every bite! We will be back for sure! Come support them, relax and have fun.

Haven't been here in years. Met up with a friend and I was a little disappointed. First let me say that I like this brewery and I have a lot of fond memories from this place. That being said, I think I need to go visit the Costa Mesa location to get the home grown beers from this place. The vibe is really chill, the food is great. The beer selection is good. However, there are more gust beers and other selections instead of their own beers. I understand that in this current time, every business is struggling but I wanted to have a true bootleggers beer. Place is clean, restrooms are clean. Staff is friendly and fast. Good selection of guest beers, ciders, Seltzers, wines and beers. Dog friendly. Recommend this place for a quick beer or bite and then head to another spot if you are in the mood for a beer crawl.

First time here and it was great. People were very friendly and the service was great. The burger was made fresh and cooked perfectly. There were TVs inside and out with plenty of seating to watch football. Dog friendly too.

Bootleggers!!! This is the OG for me. This spot is the first brewery hubby and I came to regularly since we turned 21. Now we're in our 30s and we still love coming back to this spot. It has everything you could want. Great service, incredible beer, entertainment, food, indoor seating, outdoor seating. I literally don't have a single negative thing to say. The only thing I have to say is, if you live in OC and you drink beer, get your butt over here!!

Michelada (El Chango)

A very nice place to enjoy some beers with friends. I love the atmosphere when I visited.. the music was playing and the whole brewery was alive with chatter and laughter. There was luckily heating lamps because it got really cold during the night. I got the michelada and the worker recommended his favorite beer with it. The michelada went down easily and hands down in my top 3 places to go for micheladas. I can't wait to come back and sample their other beer selections/try their quick bites.

Sangria, the cauliflower tacos, garlic fries, beer

It was a great atmosphere with friendly and helpful staff. It was clean and inviting. They didn't have their full bar menu available though.

Great locals dive brewery bar. People working there are chill. Food truck if you're desperate.

A cool brewery around downtown Fullerton. Location is far enough to not be crazy crowded with the college crowd but close enough where you can walk. Indoor area as well as lovely outdoor patio with tons of shade and misters. It was a warm one this summer day and the shade made a huge difference making us comfortable. Outdoor has an enclave sort of area with huge televisions where the baseball games were showing. TVs also inside as well. Beer selection was great and they have a lot of wines/sparklings for those who want it. Every night they have something fun going on such as Trivia or Live Music. Food truck/kitchen serves food as well since no outside food.

Fun brewery with nice sized patio, pet friendly and house small bites (a bit overpriced for the sizes). Friendly and attentive service. A very nice selection of craft beers... again, very nice! Clean restrooms with multiple stalls. Parking is limited but also plenty of street parking on Santa Fe Ave 2hr 7am-6pm or walkable parking structure down the street towards Malden... to walk off those beers haha!

First time here. The service was great, staff was friendly and welcoming. For being a Friday night it was just perfect amount of people not too crowded. Order the carne asada fries and bootleggers burger. Food was delicious. It's cool little spot to go, it was fun. They have a wide selection of beer.

This would've been 5 stars if they had a larger selection and allowed you to take Two Saucy Broads Pizza in still. Found out they don't allow it anymore. Sad sight, but they have a medium variety of drinks and an outdoor seating that are just the vibes I like. Dog friendly, huge screen for sports, good food! I was going to even put this as low as 3 stars but the service was too notch. They overly seasoned my cajun fries, I didn't have to say a word and the server took care of it immediately. The initiative was phenomenal. Good spot, would recommend!

We come here a lot, lol. We live super close so it's always one of our go-to spots when we want good vibes, beer and food. Now that we have a baby, it's always one of our go to places that's baby friendly! Beer is good, food is good (although I do miss the chili cheese fries) and service is great. We come often enough that they know us here, which is amazing! Parking is easy and they have live music on Friday nights, which is when we usually go. :)

Parking- good luck with that haha Interior- decent amount of space to find a spot Beer- decent selection Food- pretty good selection and taste Staff- no complaints Music- good, just a bit too loud

They're serving up whole meals from these trucks. In fact, one reddit user says that this might be some of the best pizza in all of Orange County! The selection is solid and the quality is consistently high -- I highly recommend the beers themselves. That said, I can't give 5 stars after a recent visit. I ordered an $8 beer, opened a tab, and then had to leave unexpectedly right after (didn't even get to drink it). I assumed any unclosed tab would default to a standard 20% tip. Instead, I was charged $14.16 total , which works out to roughly a 68% tip on the beer. I understand that open tabs are annoying for the staff, and things happen. But when you don't have a working phone or aren't given the chance to close out, a nearly 70% automatic charge feels excessive. A clearer policy or lower default gratuity on abandoned tabs would go a long way. Plenty of great beer options in SoCal, so this definitely stings. Hoping they reconsider the approach.

They have a good selection of American food, and I ordered chicken risotto ($24) from the "favorites" section of the menu. Portion sizes here are good, and we were very full after dinner. Service here was basic, and we got everything we needed. Friday night is also a peak time at Downtown Fullerton, so it was hard to find parking spot. However, the ambience here was relaxed. While the chicken risotto was pricy, I enjoyed the mixed flavors and large portion size. The flavor came from the caper-parmesan beurre blanc sauce. It's a slightly creamy butter sauce with mild sweetness and added flavor from white wine. The capers added a very welcome tangy and savory seasoning to the sauce; they're one of my favorite garnishes. The flavors from the breaded chicken and risotto weren't too strong. However, I would've liked the dish more with if they put less parmesan because I enjoyed the flavor from the beurre blanc sauce the most.

We attended a special Chartreuse tasting event at Strong Water which was being held in honor of…read moreChartreuse week and Chartreuse Day 1605 (May 16), the annual celebration of Chartreuse's origins and history. The tasting featured a great lineup of green and yellow Chartreuse paired with small bites. It concluded with a complementary Chartreuse-based cocktail from one of five recipes. Brand ambassador Taylor guided the event and began by telling us about the unique history of Chartreuse. The tasting started out with a small spoonful of Vegetal Elixir Chartreuse to warm up the palate. This is the base spirit of both green and yellow Chartreuse and clocks in at 138 proof. It was surprisingly not harsh, but immediately kicked my salivary glands into overdrive. I didn't even know that vintages of Chartreuse was a thing, but Taylor walked us through tasting three different vintages of both yellow and green Chartreuse, and it was surprising how different they were. The lineup concluded with more rare varietals of the green elixir 1605 and yellow cuvee. Great job, thanks Taylor! Chef Kling presented each small bite which included a crispy Icelandic cod, a roasted beet crostino, and a lamb slider. All of them had a five star list of ingredients and were delicious. Strong Water is known for their excellent cocktails, but their food is also great. For my cocktail at the end of the event, I had the Bar Flower (Green Chartreuse, Crème de Cacao, Pineapple, Lime). This was so good, with the herbal and chocolate flavors perfectly balanced. It was served with a flaming lime half. This was such a great event! Chartreuse retails for around $100 a bottle, and the higher-end varieties cost even more. At just $45 per person, this event was an amazing bargain. Strong Water frequently hosts great events, so keep an eye on their social media for upcoming dates. I really love Chartreuse, so I went back a few days later on the last day of Chartreuse week to try a few of the other limited time cocktails. I started out with their twist on a Grasshopper (Chartreuse, Crème de Menthe, Chili Liqueur, Crème de Cacao, Cream, Cane, $22). This was a great classic Grasshopper, but the Chartreuse added a herbal complexity, and there is a dash of heat on the finish from the chili liqueur. Next I had the Flare Gun (Yellow Chartreuse, Overproof Rum, Italian Bitter, Lime, Cane, $20). The yellow Chartreuse definitely comes through, but it's softer and has a light sweetness, unlike the green variety. Even though it contains overproof rum, it is perfectly balanced and not boozy at all. I usually don't like bitter drinks, but the bitterness was at a perfect light level. I finished off with the Tales from the Black Lagoon which is my favorite drink here, and it's also a favorite of many of the bartenders. All three cocktails were a home run. Chartreuse is an expensive spirit, so those drinks cost a little more than average. Shout out to Karen, Joey, Edgar, Jordan, and Ying for excellent hospitality, as always. Strong Water is our favorite place. We can't wait to go back!
