Stopped at this little hole in the wall and what a surprise!!!! The chicken strips were the best I've EVER had So juicy inside with just the right amount of crispy breading on the outside. The desserts looked amazing, but will try those next time! Help was very gracious and the owner had a wonderful personality and made us feel welcome. We had a chicken sandwich and the tenders. The seasoning on the chicken was amazing. Very juicy and tender on both meals. The staff were very friendly and brought our food to the vehicle. We stopped here on the way to the Dr Pepper museum. We were starving and decided to stop this chicken fast food stop off the freeway. I expected a cheap McDonald's chicken sandwich. Something to hold me over for better food. Their chicken sandwich was great! Good, non creepy piece of chicken with wicked good batter. Their menu doesn't show burgers, but the FB page showed pictures of some so I asked for one of those too. The burger was also really good. They season their meat with something other than salt and pepper. It tasted a little strong at first but I think it's just because Im not used to burger meat being seasoned with a flavor. If this place was closer to the San Angelo I'd be here once a week. read more

I have found my new favorite restaurant in this area. I've been to a few of the restaurants that serve burgers in Goldthwaite and these guys are hands down the best. I Googled best cheeseburgers in or near Goldwaithe, TX. This restaurant popped up and I liked the name of the place so I stopped in to order a bacon cheeseburger to go. While waiting on my burger I met the owner and his wife. They were so friendly. I enjoyed my visit with them and would have stayed longer to visit but I had miles to cover. read more

Overall an expensive and disappointing experience. The location is great, the facility is clean and comfortable, the staff were courteous and efficient, and the chicken is tasty. However, it was incredibly expensive, not many options, and the salad was a complete rip-off. For $13, it should have been large, full of greens, strawberries, nuts and include chicken. It cost about $90 to feed four people. We bought only two drinks, one salad, and no desserts. read more

Service was quick, people were very nice and there's a nice park next door to stretch your legs or let the kids burn off steam. The Chicken Tenders were piping hot, crispy on the outside & moist on the inside.....Just Perfect! The Waffle Fries were hot & crispy too and the Strawberry Shake very creamy & enjoyable! Their Pepsi was frothy with excellent fizz! We had already got a very yummy Fudge Brownie, but when the owners came over and visited with us, we found out they had fresh baked, hot homemade Peach Cobbler!! So we got that ala mode & both were amazing!! We can highly recommend Bootleg Chicken.......with delicious food in a sparkling clean atmosphere with good music too! I went on a Thursday evening for dinner & decided on a salad with grilled chicken. The chicken was excellent - fresh, moist & flavorful. The salad had a good mix of greens, but not nearly enough to be a main course. The "balsamic" dresding was extremely sweet; I couldnt taste the balsamic much. Basically I paid for a small salad with a side of of grilled chicken, for 15.95. Not one of the better deals Ive had and VERY overpriced. I may try just chicken at some point, but no more salads here. read more
