The management "Vee" is the rudest person I have ever encountered in any of the boot barn stores I have been in, when I travel I make it a priority to find a boot barn. This so called manger has zero people skills, rude and, disrespects her staff. I heard her talking down to a couple employees while I was shopping in the stockton store. I have never been so excited to shop at a popular western store. Everything was going great until this one employee named "V" would not stop bothering me, it felt as if I was being harassed. A very newer location for Stockton area. So of course very clean and put together. When you walk in it has that fabulous smell of leather in the air. Most of your items are on the pricier side but of course good quality. The one thing that I did notice is that they do not have a mark down or clearance area and location and if they do it was hidden very well. They have departments for the whole family men women and children clothing and shoes as well as accessories towards the front. When you walk in, You may notice that you are greeted but not verbally. By a security guard at this location. We were greeted when we walked in as well as within five minutes of our shopping experience asked if we needed any help finding anything. Although my boyfriend was not looking to pay the prices of many of the work boots in the area there were a few that he took interest in for maybe more of a later personal purchase. I was in yesterday. The store is immaculate. The security man greeted me when I walked in. Then the sales associate welcomed me to the store. I went to the work boot section. I was immediately greeted by Diana. She went out of her way for me and treated me with such kindness. I tried on a pair of steel toe Thoroughgood work boots. I decided to purchase them. Diana rung me up and I asked her about hat forming. I used to be in the Army and I have a Cavalry Stetson. She explained the process and I will be back in to get that done. Diana is an asset to the company. She's a very nice person very knowledgeable and very kind. I do wish that the store carried Dickies apparel. I highly recommend Boot Barn for work boots. read more

Was very nice when we entered, got greeted but once we actually started walking in, the cashier was just watching us did not even greet us so i was very skeptical after that, was going to purchase thorogood steel toe boots but we noticed they were watching us , my fiance as well was being watched since she's black, she felt so un welcomed after that she came and told me to walk around with her since they were watching her so i stopped put the boots back and she started looking at the clothes . The cashier was acting like she was messing around with clothes as she literally was staring looking at us up and down with disgust and walked away from us. So i looked at her and said you can atleast be nice. Happy i didn't put my money here, sad part is I'm Puerto Rican and the cashier was Mexican . After witnessing how they treat people definitely won't come back and will be telling others our experience here. Ill put my money somewhere with respect and professionalism. No wonder it's so empty they definitely don't make you feel wanted but more so as a suspect. The cashier was literally talking crap in spanish with a customer about us as they both looked at us. This is how a buisness gets destroyed or someone gets hurt then plays victim to circumstances they created. I was shopping for a pair of black western boots, and a Stetson hat. I was immediately assisted (base on the tone, it was for loss prevention contact, not customer service). But I was immediately assisted, so I was pleased. I found what I came for. And walked it upfront and asked the young lady if she would please put it at behind the check out counter while I look around a little more, I saw more things I may buy, but first let me have a look. While I was looking around, I don't know how much time had lapsed, maybe 10 minutes give or take. I was contacted by an authority figure, maybe LP management or management, the tone was very commanding. She asked that I leave my bag at the front. I was not able to comply, I informed her that I have valuables the the bag that requires it to be with me. I asked for five minutes to finish my shopping. The lady insisted that I leave the bag, that her "personal" policy prohibits personal bag(s) inside her store. Definitely "momma bear". There's no posted signs, there were others there that have purses (personal bags). I plead for just a few minutes, and assured her there will be no undesired behaviors from me. Instead of giving me the benefit of the doubt, she proceeded to antagonize me repeatedly, saying "sir was are you agitated? You're getting angry right now! Why are you getting so agitated?....: she went on and on repeating those phrases. If I wasn't upset before, I was becoming upset. She was driving me there on purpose. My mere presence, threaten her. So I walked away. I went to the counter and requested the young lady there to get me out of that line as soon as possible. I felt I was being hunted. What's in the bag? Not sure what's the revenue of the content. Could be a lot of money, or something else, or just a picture of my deceased mother that I don't want to lose. I was there around 4:30 pm 12/6/2021. I like the store. The boots are nice. I however did not like being upsold. I went bought an expensive pair of boots and the sales girls wound up putting some extra cedar things in my bag without telling me how much or asking if I actually wanted them. Not happy with that. I don't blame the store associates. The company must want them try and over sell customers on extras. This lets me know Boot Barn may be more corporate than pro-customer. I went in to get an outfit for a upcoming vacation and I was immediately blown away by the service. From 1 of 2 employees... Andrew at the front door , immediately welcomed me in, and asked if I needed any help finding any specific, if I remembered correctly he said he wasn't a sales person but wow he was very professional and got me the answers when I needed. Seriously was so nice and it was a joy having him help me. He went out of his duties to help me. Everyone in the store is absolutely fantastic, I was also helped by Carrie. I am writing this review only for the staff! They do not know anything about their store! They need to be better trained about the apparel. This is the second time they had sold me the wrong apparel. The first time I was looking for boys jeans and this girl gave me girl jeans. Second time my husband was looking for men's work shoe and sold him women's work shoes. Do not ask for help. Instead look for the stuff yourself because these people do not know where stuff is at! I went back and returned the girl pants unfortunately my husband had already taken the shoes to work until I noticed our credit card statement that it said women's shoes!
