This is where I stood, the circle is where the associate sat in a chair and said she was unable to help because she can't leave.
    Vanessa B.

I called Big 5 on March and asked if they had a specific shoe and size in stock. The gentleman was great, he checked and said yes then asked if I'd like him to put it on hold up front, I said yes. I arrived at the store 15 minutes later, a woman was sitting in a chair right up front and greeted us. I went in the back to look for the shoe, there was no associate that I could see after waiting for 5 minutes and several people waiting. I realized he said it was on hold upfront so I walked up front and the cashier was busy helping a man and woman whom were together, so I asked the associate who previously greeted us and was sitting by the front door if she could help. She said no, she's not allowed to leave the chair. I waited for the cashier who was waiting for the man to pull out his cash and he was taking long because the girl he was with was on the phone while Simultaneously distracting the guy who is trying to pull out his money. All the while the cashier is sitting there ignoring me, I could clearly see she could see me. After 7 minutes of the cashier doing nothing she turns to me and says can I help you, I said, "I called earlier and a guy told me he would leave my shoes upfront on hold", she said ok and the guy finally got his money out and she begin helping him again. After he paid the girl he was with and the cashier started talking for another few minutes. After the customers left, the cashier got on a speaker phone and said to bring up the shoes on hold for me. After I waited for another 5-7 minutes, I was annoyed and went in the back to just ask for another pair of shoes. I waited back there for another 5 to 7 minutes and no one was there. So we left, called the Big 5 in Lodi, and we spent our money there. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. There were 3 people and 5 children in the shoe area, me, my husband and daughter and then the man and woman who were in line, so it wasn't even crowded.

Nice Adidas bag for $19.99 :) I'm getting it :)

Decent run of the mill Big 5. A cheap alternative to the REI around the corner but again, nothing special.

They consistently have some of the best deals in town on both guns and ammo, which is hard to beat. Their website is another big advantage. It's easily one of the best compared to other local shops. It shows what's in stock, and if something isn't available at your location, it tells you where you can find it. That level of transparency makes shopping a lot easier and saves time. I also like that this location is close to me, and I haven't had any issues with purchases or the overall buying process. That said, the experience at the gun counter can be inconsistent. Some employees are solid, but others either come off as overly cocky or seem to lack basic firearm knowledge. I'm not there for stories or to hear about someone's background, I just want a smooth, professional experience when buying a firearm. One experience that stood out was when I purchased a .22 LR AR-style rifle for plinking. The employee assisting me seemed unsure about basic handling. There were moments that didn't inspire confidence when it came to safely handling and operating the firearm. I also witnessed a similar situation involving another employee who didn't appear confident clearing a shotgun. Situations like that are concerning, especially in a setting where safety should be the top priority. I understand that people have to learn somewhere, and I respect that, but when it comes to working behind a gun counter, there should already be a strong foundation of knowledge and safety awareness. Overall, this location is great for pricing, convenience, and their website. If they improved consistency in staff training and professionalism at the gun counter, this would easily be one of the best places to shop.

We did end up buying 2 jerseys, but would likely have gotten a couple more for our kids if we were free to browse the store. They way they handled us, I was honestly just ready to buy my Salute to Service jersey and get the heck out of there. Prices are high, but they are the prices on the sales tag, so I would imagine that is set by Nike. Overall, ok place to buy a jersey and they have a good selection. The staff just seems to be watching as if you're going to steal something and they are a bit pushy. Not a fun experience, but serviceable if you need a jersey here in Tracy.

Prices are on the high end but if you think about it, it beats driving out of town and wasting your $4.00+/gal gas. The workers for the most part are friendly but from time to time you get those that make you feel invisible. And having their hats behind the counter is really annoying because most of the time the workers are standing there and my x-ray vision doesn't work. On a better note... I recently came into this store to try on a jersey just to see what my size was. The guy was kind enough to pull a jersey down and let me try it on. I would have bought the Derrick Rose jersey from them if they had it but they were sold out (gotta love NBA playoff time) This past Christmas my best friend (shoutout to Nem!) brought me here to get a jacket I've been wanting all football season. They didn't have my size so the guy said he could order it and it would be at the store within a week which would be after Christmas. They were able to get it faster than that so I was able to open my Niner jacket on Christmas and it was, "...the best Christmas ever!" -Your Friendly Neighborhood Yelp'er

The boat had ongoing issues immediately after purchase, and despite multiple attempts over several months to get them resolved, the problems were not properly addressed. After significant delays, the boat was finally inspected and a hole in the console was discovered, which was allowing water intrusion into the vessel. I brought the boat in for repair expecting a resolution, but when it was returned, the condition was actually worse. Components were loose, poorly fitted, and the overall workmanship was unacceptable. The original issue was not fully resolved, and additional problems appeared after their service work. At this time, Bass Pro Shops in Manteca still has possession of my boat, and I have been unable to get any clear communication or updates despite multiple attempts to follow up. My calls are not being returned, and I'm being left without answers or a timeline for resolution. To make matters worse, the warranty service department has stated that the issue is not their responsibility and that it falls on the dealer, who they believe caused the damage during service. I am now stuck in the middle with no one taking responsibility, no repair progress, and no clear path forward, which has been extremely frustrating and concerning given the cost and seriousness of the purchase. At this point, I am extremely concerned about the quality control and service standards. For a major purchase like a boat, I expected far better support and accountability. I hope management takes these issues seriously and improves how warranty and repair cases are handled for customers.
