I was returning my purchase with another store associate who apparently didn't quite know the process of returns and asked ANIYAH. ANIYAH insisted that there was a receipt in the package after I had already told the other associate their was no receipt. ANIYAH had the audacity to say I must have taken it out the package cause there's always a receipt in the package. She proceeded to open the package from one end not even realizing it was already opened from the other end and found NO RECEIPT. She then proceeded to want to argue that Shoe Carnival ALWAYS puts a receipt in the package but accused me of having an attitude. I told her I didn't have an attitude but it seems she was trying to make me have one. She started talking loudly and told me I could leave HER STORE! I replied this is not your store and she stated it was! So if ANIYAH is an acting Manager, Shoe Carnival, this needs to reviewed and some more training needes to completed. Thank God I was not a secret shopper or from Corporate Office. Actually it would have been my pleasure to have her clock out and leave the store. She threatened to not give me my refund but I let her know I was going to get my money back and even the security guard in the store walked out at one point and then sat and looked on. I had already reordered and received the replacement and guess what, NO RECEIPT was in that package either. I thought when you order online your confirmation was your receipt. I had my order with number already up showing on my phone for the first associate but she stated the receipt was on the sticker on the outside of the bag. I have learned to listen to the experts when in doubt. Holly actually listened to my wants and needs and picked a perfect fit boot at a lower price than I was looking at. I ended up with a wonderful boot that has outperformed my expectations. Even in the cold Illinois winter I was comfortable and safe. These Irish Setter safety toe boots are a little heavy (nearly all safety toe boots are) but not so heavy that I can not wait to get them off.
