I love Refresh (5/5 specifically for their dresses). It's a beautiful secondhand clothing shop in Brentwood with a great cause!! (Proceeds go to St. Louis's foster care coalition--their HQ is also in this same building). They have a selection of normal clothes -- women's and men's -- on the bottom floor, along with shoes and accessories (earrings and jewelry). But what really stands out is their cute formal dress section on the second level! Perfect for prom, wedding guest, bridesmaid etc. They have floor length dresses for $35 and shorter dresses for $25. They even have a few floor length wedding gowns for brides for $100!! (Plus a section for mother of the bride dresses). I've gotten 2 formal dresses here so far with lots of compliments (wore one on a beachy vacation and another as a destination wedding guest)!! I visited again this week as I thought I'd look for a wedding dress here since they have super affordable options. I didn't end up finding a dress in my size since they only have a few but it was still really impressive they had some in stock at all! And at this price point. There were some beautiful dresses in smaller sizes as well with big princess-like ballgown-style trains. They also accept donations. You can either get a tax receipt or a $5 off coupon! The staff there have also been very friendly every time I've gone!! They have the store decorated currently for their prom season--girls who are in foster care who are accepted into their program get to shop for a prom dress for free! So cool!

Love this second hand boutique and its mission. You can find everything here prom dress, wedding dress, running shoes, jewelry at awesome prices. Staff is always friendly. They carry a good range of sizes as well. Store is well organized with designer items to the right side of the store as you enter the door. Men's items are on the left. Women's pants and dresses are under the stairs. Formal and wedding dresses are upstairs. One thing I would recommend is to add another 1 or 2 dressing rooms, can get a little crowded on the weekends. Overall a wonderful place and so glad to have them in St. Louis!

What a fantastic concept! REFRESH is a Fashion Forward Resale Boutique with great clothes and accessories for everyone, from designer items to vintage finds. They do things like give youth in foster care a 90% discount on all items (up to $100 worth) and job placement within their store. If you want to put your $ to a good cause, it's not a bad place to shop.

There was a whole rack of summer clothes on sale for $1 each! (Sept 2014)

Cool, modern atmosphere... but still, buying someone elses clothes is weird to me.

So it seemed a perfect birthday quest to search for a new barber, one specializing in beards. That's how I ended up at Dapper Gents, at the beginning of its second week of beard trims following Covid-19 restrictions. Those who have seen my old "Suburbanite in STL" list may remember how important parking and approach are to me. If you have similar concerns, then you may like to know that street parking is not too difficult. In the canyon of Washington Avenue, my "ParkLouie" app was rather slow, so I fed my charge card into the parking meter, no problem. And, if you're looking for the correct entry to Dapper Gents among the multiple doors of 1000 Washington, you go toward the entry "east" and middle of the block, not the one near the cigar place "west" at the corner of 11th St. Michael A. did a great job! Friendly, attentive to direction, fade cut (and beard trim) in the top tier of all cuts ever. Covid-19 concerns? All staff and clients wore masks, mine removed only for the beard trim. When the cut was complete, I was offered a drink from the cooler, and chose a Fitz's Diet Cream Soda. Thanks, Dapper Gents, and Happy BD to me.

To clarify: This may be the correct address, but it's goofy. This store is at I-270 and Olive…read more I've been to Kohl's many, many times. And I always come armed with a coupon and my Kohl's credit card. Sometimes the coupon is 20% off, sometimes it's 30% off. And I head for the sale areas. This is ONE store where my youngest son can find New Balance shoes for his 4E foot. And jeans, slacks, dress shirts, T-shirts and other apparel. I've purchased from most departments in this store. It's great for adult clothes, baby clothes, housewares, small appliances, linens, gloves and socks. I've not patronized the jewelry department. My most recent purchase was for hostess gifts, two from dinnerware and one from glassware. All my purchases were on sale. #1 was $9.99, a $15 savings #2 was $13.99, a $21 savings #3 was $20.99, a $9 savings With my Kohl's credit card discount and the 30% off coupon, I paid $22.42 and saved $69. I'm ringing that up as a sale. What I don't like about Kohl's Cash is: When I'm there, I get what I need. If I earn Kohl's Cash, I have nothing else to buy. I've let some Kohl's Cash lapse (It usually has a pretty quick expiration date -- like within a week.), but I have been "forced" to shop more to use the Kohl's Cash. And that usually ends up as buying something I don't really need or spending more money than I like . . . or both.

Came here after the holidays to try to find some bargains. They didn't have too much on sale even…read morenormal items, but I did shop around a bit. The store was laid out well. I did notice at the registers they had the regular registers to check out, no self-serve registers like other locations. If you had to do a return, you waited in one line and that was Amazon returns and Kohl's returns all in the same line. It went relatively quick.
