Had wonderful customer service getting a cowboy hat I needed for a horse show. The gentleman who helped me walked me through my options and styles and I was able to get something right then and there. I live boot barn and whenever I'm out of my state I like to go into other boot barns and look at their stuff. Now in my town most boot barns have super friendly people that are eager to help. I can into this one looking for a xxl or xxxl short sleeve shirt. When I ask a gentleman I saw there. He said to me they are scattered all around. I said to you have an area where they are? He replied, they are scattered all around. Ah huh. Got it. So as I looked for the round rotundas of shirts. I saw the ones that had the signs. S, M, L, Xxl. I went shopping here to get some boots for occasional wear. They had a ton of selection and the prices were fair. The store was very clean and well organized, but it was really the service that stood out to me. Amy helped us and was great...she really took her time with us and made sure we got what we needed. I'm not a Cowboy, just here for work boots, so take that into account when reading this review. Second time @ this location, I'm told the site is small & the selection is limited compared to other stores. Add a matter of facts when I inquired about finding a couple boots in my size,I was told I would have to purchase the boots before they could have then delivered to the store or I could drive to Mesa! Um..... I need to see how the fit & feel. One style of boot didn't have any insoles in the shoe & I had to walk up to the front to ask for assistance, which is a bummer, because when I walked in the Manager said hello. Obviously he knew I was here but never offered assistance until I searched (someone) him out. He is very informative but left immediately after I sat down to try a pair of boots on. I love Boot Barn and pretty much visit one every single time I see a new one when I travel. I have over 100 pairs of cowboy boots. I have shopped at all different types of boot places across the country and in Europe. Not trying to brag, but just letting you know that I'm a pretty good critique of Boot shops. Brought my dad here to buy his first pair of boots. It was my first time being to this location. It wasn't busy. We were there at an off time. No one offered to help but I get it. There weren't many sales people on the floor. I don't even think we were greeted when we walked in Eventually a girl did help me pick out some boot hooks, but only because I asked. She was very pleasant and in her defense, she was helping another customer. I had a lot of fun picking out boots with my dad and he did too. However, the girl working the behind the counter had the personality of a wet rag. Barely cracked a smile, but that was only after us trying to get her to crack a smile. Kind of ruined the fun for us. But that's OK. My dad was still so happy to have his boots. When we left, I asked everyone that I was with "was it just me or was that cashier really rude?" Everybody said "oh my gosh she was so rude and so unfriendly." My kind dad said "maybe she was Just having a bad day." My dad moved out to Scottsdale about six months ago and he did say everybody in Scottsdale is so friendly. He said "This is the first time I have encountered someone unfriendly at their place of work." This was a really sad encounter, and one completely unexpected. I've been online for weeks looking at stingray western boots, and I finally saved up to grab a pair. I went to this location because I figured since boot barn typically gives you the boots that they have on the shelf. I wanted a really good looking pair. I was helped by a young lady who was really really nice, helping me out, answering all my questions. I finally tried the boots on, which were perfect! I took the boot off and before I could even stand up out of the seat, and go to the register to make my purchase, the boots were taken from me from me, by another employee, who then took the boots over to a white customer. I'm not saying she was racist in no way shape or form. It just really had a bad feel to it. I was shocked, and so was the young lady who was helping me. She asked me if I still wanted the boots, but at that moment, I completely lost the desire, and just walked out of the store. I have made all of my western purchases from Boot Barn. After this experience, I won't be returning. Hopefully I can find a pair online? This was a really sad affair. read more

We went In to buy our 20 yo son his first pair of boots. We were just looking around at styles first and declining help. Eventually, Bobby came over, asked if Our son had ever purchased boots before. After we told her no, she said, then you need my help Bobby was so awesome! She measured his foot, steered him toward the brand that would fit his foot best, made recommendations for the style based on where and when he'd wear them and even helped us with a properly fitted pair of jeans to go with his boots. Without Bobby's help, our son would have walked out with boots that were too big and jeans that were too short. Bobby was just a delight to work with! I was visiting the Alma School location when my boyfriend pointed out some awesome Shyanne American flag fringe flip-flops that I fell in love with. Sadly to say, they were out of my size, 8. The next day I was traveling down from Sedona and stopped by the Raintree location to see if they had those same flip-flops in my size... again, no luck. However, I was fortunate that Bobbie was working because she went above and beyond to locate those shoes for me. What a fun new addition to the Scottsdale area. This shopping plaza needs an overhaul with new places coming in, and Boot Barn may be hailing a new influx of shops (fingers crossed)! My best friend is getting married in August and she is planning on having a barn themed wedding and that means she wants people in boots! So, as any good friend would do, I have started the boot shopping extravaganza to get ideas on pricing, styles, comfort levels, and deals. I am totally new to the boot shopping thing, although I've wanted a pair for awhile now - and what better excuse to drop the money than a wedding! There are tons of options for boots here and the staff is extremely friendly. The store is well organized and you can tell it's new since it still has that feel to it. I didn't end up buying boots this visit, but I will be back for sure once I get a feel for exactly what I want and the outfit I'm matching it to! This Boot Barn opened not too long ago, and after contemplating buying a pair of boots (and trying many on with no success in the past), I decided to head over to try my luck once more. I was blown away by the vast amount of boots, hats, jeans/pants, and shirts they had when I walked through the door. This store is a veritable warehouse of western wear. You WILL find something for you here. Nick was working when I came in, and he was very helpful without being pushy. He let me to browse boots on my own for a good 20 minutes. After I was trying many pairs on and not quite finding the right one, he politely asked if I needed any help. I wanted a boot without such a wide shaft, since I am pretty skinny. He suggested a taller boot which would naturally have a narrower shaft. He was right, and two pairs later I found the perfect boot for me. I even found some slim-fitting bootcut jeans (what? yeah, they exist!) that completed the look. This is a great store with great employees. They deserve your business, and I was glad to give them mine. I hope this Boot Barn continues to see success as more people come through. read more

This was my first time in boot barn and we had such a great experience. Miranda was a huge help to both of us. She was fun and outgoing, knew what she was talking about. She suggested what she think would be best for us based off what we were telling her. It didn't seem like she was trying to make a sale. The man that looks like he's the manager or owner was super nice and sweet too. They really helped us understand the sizing and the different brands. I've been going to Boot Barn for years now as it's my favorite place to get my preferred form of footwear. Yea, I'm one of those people. So when I found myself in need of some new exotics and I also found myself on a trip to Arizona for a friends wedding I came to this location to look for a new pair of boots. Now normally I had gone to the location up at thunderbird by the 17, but this one was closer. And I'll tell you I was not disappointed. A great selection of boots, I actually had a hard time deciding between about 3 different pair, and the salesman was friendly and very helpful. My only complaint and the only reason that it's 4 stars instead of 5 is that he kept pushing shoe trees and care products even after I told him I was good on them. Look, I get it, you want to upsell, but i'm buying some expensive ass boots and I know how to care for them. I mean I walked in with expensive well maintained boots on. If I needed more product I'd be asking YOU not the other way around. But other than that a great place to get a new pair of boots. read more

The worst online billing and customer service ever!! Buyer beware! Better make sure you have double the money for your purchase online. I ordered two pairs of boots that total almost 400.00 dollars which was taken from my account at the time of purchase. Come to find out when the product actually ships Boot Barn goes ahead and takes the money out of my account again. Then after 3 or 5 business days they will refund the money from the time of purchase. I don't know any other online company that has set up their billing this way. Nonetheless a popular big company that of Boot Barn. Most people that work or own horses break even. I am not rich. And had to rush to the bank to cover my other bills because I did not forsee paying double 800.00 for 2 pairs of boots for work that I have not yet recevied. Furthermore my customer service representative was rather rude in the matter stating it was not his problem and that's just how billing is set up.
