Went to bootbarn thinking it would be the best place to buy boots, belt and a hat that I needed for a corp meeting in PA. I'm not a cowboy boot guy and had no idea how they are suppose to fit. But I may of well of been just another pair of boots in a box because there was no help. So I left and found a place called Durango in North Highlands and it was AWESOME in every aspect. It's a little store with everything you could possibly need to be a cowboy. The boots were 100% leather as was the belt to. I got everything for under .....$200 wahoo read more

Pros: Customer Service, Veterans Discount, Selection Cons: Buisness Hours On July 15th, I stopped by Boot Barn in Rocklin for work boots. It was just before 10:00 AM, and I waited in my truck for a few minutes until they opened. There were already several customers waiting out front. The cashier greeted me when I entered the store. The manager was in the boot section and approached me to go over my needs and offer me choices from their current stock. He took me through the entire work boot section and explained the pros and cons of the various styles and offered his opinion about which styles and brands were the best options for my situation. He initially thought they only offered a few electric-hazard (EH) rated boots, but quickly found out that most of their work boots were EH rated. He continually brought me boots and listened to my feedback until we honed in on a sturdy pair of western-style Ariat work boots. He explained the specifics of that style to find me the perfect fit and helped me select socks suitable for use with those boots. I bought a pair of Georgia Boots from the same location several weeks prior that felt great in the store but ultimately did not offer enough support in the field. The manager offered to allow me to exchange the Georgia Boots for the Ariats as long as they were in reasonable condition. He held on to the Ariats for me for a couple of hours until I could make it back with my Georgia Boots. He approved the exchange and gave me a fifteen percent veterans discount on top of it. Overall, my experience at Boot Barn was completely satisfying. I arrived expecting to buy a new pair of boots to replace a poor purchase several weeks prior but ended up exchanging the old boots for new boots and receiving a discount on top of it. The manager was accommodating in ascertaining my needs and getting me exactly what I needed. If you're shopping for work boots, I highly recommend you go to Boot Barn in Rocklin. If you have any questions about this review, leave a comment, and I'll get back to you. read more

I never write reviews. This was my first time ever in a boot barn. Went in searching for work boots. I did find what I needed at a great price too. The reason I want to leave a review is bc the customer service was amazing, and I was in the store right at open. Every single person greeted me but no one was aggressive or overwhelming or pushy to purchase anything. Very friendly, I'll definitely be going back for anything needed that they provide. This was just a great all around experience that I have not received in a very long time! read more

Had the best experience!!! I can't remember the lady who helped my mom and I. But she was amazing! Super sweet and helpful!!

First time shopper, pleasantly surprised by the high level of retail courtesy. I came in on a Sunday afternoon and had a great experience. The salesperson asked questions to gauge my style preference, budget, foot sizing, intended use level of my boots- her expertise was amazing. Same efficiency when it came to hats - knew my size just by looking at my head. (I was helped by Tonya) My friend and I had great looking & fitting gear within 30 minutes of arrival. This is very a big store - worth taking the freeway exit for! read more

Went in to buy one pair of pants: worst customer service I have ever received the entire store was in disarray even though it was fairly early in the morning. They have absolutely great items but this store needs to work on their customer service skills. read more

Rarely do I write reviews, but the customer service here was superb! Directed me where to go, knew their stuff, and came back to make sure I found what I was looking for. read more

The Boot Barn in Rocklin CA honestly has the best selection of everything but customer service can ruin all of that. After spending well over $300 today, I noticed that all of my items were simply thrown into a plastic bag. This included a $90 shirt that I bought as a Father's Day gift; so of course I didn't want it to get wrinkled. After I noticed how all of my items were in the bag I took them all out in front of the lady that rang me up and folded them all one by one in front of her and not even a simple 'sorry' came out of her. The store wasn't even busy enough for her to say that she was rushed and did it without realizing it, which would've been understandable. But there was only one other person behind me. Whether your spending $10 or $300 CUSTOMER SERVICE is what brings people back. read more

I've never been into a boot barn but I have to say I received amazing service, I'm going to butcher names but Shaley and Claire were amazing. It was my sisters birthday and of course the boot we chose was missing it's match! Shaley pulled her team to help us look for them! After 20 min we finally found them!!!!! Thank you so much! They went above and beyond to make my sisters birthday special read more

This is now by far the worst location I have ever been too. I came about a month ago and dealt with a younger gentleman named Brett and felt good about my experience but I came back last weekend and not only was Brett no longer there, but Sam, who helped me get my work boots last time I came, was also no longer there. Juliet, the manager was extremely unhelpful. She likes to act as if she is truly helpful but she's very condescending in how she talks to customers. She makes you feel as if you are an illiterate child. She just did not give good customer service and whenever another employee would help me and she would walk by, they looked like they were terrified of her. The only reason why I finished my transaction was because Cole and Birch gave great service. My daughter said Brianna was helpful but overall, I wasn't very unsatisfied with my time in this store. I can only assume Juliet doesn't treat her employees any better than she treats her customers. I'm never gonna come back here again. Gonna miss Brett and Sam. This location went down hill real fast. read more

This used to be one of my favorite places to shop for boots and western wear. I come in specifically looking for either Birch and/or Brett to help me out because they had always given me great service, advice, and are clearly very knowledgeable with boots, hats, and clothing. I came in expecting to see one of them to help and neither were working and the angry looking Mexican lady clearly did not actually want to help customers because she kept trying to pass me and other customers in the building off to other people so she could stay at the register area. To learn that Brett recently had been let go and Birch does not get a lot of hours is very disappointing and I will be looking for another western wear place to go to find some more knowledgeable people. If this angry lady is one of the members of management then this company should make a change asap because management is supposed to be the most knowledgeable and most willing to give the best service possible, not the most willing to pass off customers to others and be lazy at the register area. Management should lead by example, clearly not the case in this store anymore. read more

If giving zero stars was an option I would do so. But the regular staff were very kind and helpful all 3 times I had to go into the store to fix one issue, so they can take the 1 star. As far as management goes, they are the reason we will never shop at boot barn again. Which sucks for them considering all of my family wear boots and not the cheep ones . The manager Julliette was nasty every time I was in. I witnessed her being mean and dismissive to her employees, treating them like they were idiots. Here is my tale of whoa: 1. My husband got me a gift card for Christmas. I couldn't find anything in store so they told us we could order them on line and, if we had any problems, we could return them to any store and exchange them. 2. Well, the boots didnt fit well. So I took them to the store to exchange them, but, apparantly, because I bought them with a Boot Barn gift card, I couldn't just exchange them outright. I had to wait 3 days for them to credit back their own gift card before I could buy the new boots I picked out at their store. 3. Fine, but I return 3 days later and now she tells me that even though the credit was approved, I had to wait for Boot Barn to snail mail me a replacement gift card. What?!!! I said " you and the on-line person I spoke with never told me a card was being mailed. You said you would credit my money back in 3 days." She stares at me blankly....I say " the sales girl and I even checked with you to make sure it was fesable for me to return in 3 days and buy my boots" She says that she didn't know what we were asking her and if she had understood she would have advised differently. She unapologetically informed me that online. Maybe if she hadn't been so dismisive and rude to her employee and interupting her that she would have understood. (This is the same woman by the way who originally told us how easy it was to buy on line and use boot barn's gift cards). 4. Not one time in all interactions with with manager Juliette was I addressed, greeted or treated with any kind of respect or kindess. This was a horrible experience, buying close to $500 worth of boots is supposed to be fun, not a 3 visit hassle where you get treated horribly. Boot barn has lost our business for life and I caution against any on line exchange, returns or the location in Rocklin. If this is the type of management Boot Barn values, they are going to lose a lot of business. Juliette couldn't be bothered to treat either her own employees or ger customers with respect and attention. If you want boots go to Handley's in folsom or Lee's Feed in Shingle Springs. They treat you well and you can walk out with your boots the day you buy them. read more

Just got my boots here. Happy with my purchase. Staff has been very helpful and happy smiling all the time. I love this country store.

Dear Birch and the Boot Barn Team; We came into your store in a panic because we could not find double shanked steel lineman boots in my daughter's size and she needed them for school on April 3rd. Although you did not have her size in the store, you worked your boot magic and found a manufacturer (Danner) that had her size at the warehouse. I am happy to say that the boots arrived in time for Lineman College and she was able to hit the pole climbing. Thank you for your outstanding customer service and dedication to providing the right tools for the job. read more

Went there a couple of months ago, to get a pair of boots. They have a lot to choose from at a good price. The staff was very helpful and I walked out with the boots I wanted. They also have a wide selection of clothing. read more

I needed a cowboy hat for a Garth Brooks concert tomorrow. I've heard this store advertised on country stations so I decided to go there. I was excited to shop there, but my excitement was short lived. I walked in and pass two employees and they didn't utter a word. Maybe they thought I was lost or something. Probably don't see many black people stroll through. Anyway I proceed to the hat section and try on several hats. As I was trying to make a selection a white couple came in and they greeted them estatically. I needed advice on some of the choices, but nobody asked if I needed help. Horrible customer service. I won't be back! read more

Every person that I've talked to regarding my terrible experience at boot barn in Roseville has said they felt the same way after leaving this store! Not a good reputation at all! read more

Will never shop at this boot barn again. The blonde girl with a cowboy hat that is always there has been rude the past 2 times I've gone and asked for help to find the right sizes for my girlfriend. Every time we ask for help she rolls her eyes and seems upset she has to stop and help. The big guy on the floor tries to be funny with his little remarks is just flat out annoying and doesn't know much when he is asked a question about a product. read more

AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!! Darci and Jackie were both so patient, calm, respectful, understanding, and HELPFUL! My fiancé went to the Rancho Cordova location on Friday and may have just overlooked the location because he thought the business closed down. Which then led us the Rocklin location. Unfortunately, my fiancé's company was not registered at this location to receive his free work boots (he had a voucher from work). These two ladies went out of their ways to make sure we didn't have to leave without my fiancé's boots. They called the Rancho Cordova location to find out all the codes needed and took care of us without any attitude or frustration. THANK YOU SO MUCH DARCI AND JACKIE! We truly appreciate your awesome customer service. Haven't received such great customer service in a long time. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANKKKK YOU!!!!! read more

I've been to the three local locations; Rocklin, Rancho Cordova, and Elk Grove. The Rocklin location has by far the best selection, and most definitely the best customer service! They have all sorts of home decide, a huge boot selection, and an enormous clothing selection. Definitely the best location out of all the Sacramento area stores! read more

I've been to this store a few times now. I would have given them 4 stars except I feel like they don't have many boots to choose from for women, if you're smaller than a size 6.5 (I'm a size 6). I had a hard time finding a pair of boots that fit me right. The customer service is hit or miss, some times there's not many people working...but most of the employees are pretty helpful and friendly. I definitely recommend this store if you're looking for a pair of boots or a cute outfit for a country concert! read more

The customer service is terrible! I went in looking for a pair of tall riding boots of high quality. Not once was I greeted or acknowledged. I was in there over a half hour. Everyone ignored me. I made sure to make my presence known as I went up and down the isles looking and handling the most expensive boots. I got nothing. The man helping a customer knew I was next and after finishing up he walked right by me as i stood looking at him expecting to be waited on. Didn't even say someone would be right with me and the store was not crowded in the least. Unbelievable! read more

Bad customer service. Extremely rude unfriendly and not helpful. They need to change the staff and put some nice people in there!! I go from now on to the store in Natomas. read more

I went to the Boot Barn in Rancho Cordova and could not find woman ranger or carhartt work jeans. I came to this location and found everything I was looking for! Found the store not very helpful with orders that you have done on Bootbarn.com and then need to exchange in the store.

Great selection and even better customer service! Staff is very helpful. I have been to the Boot Barn locations in Rancho Cordova and Elk Grove as well...service is great in all three, but selection in Rocklin is the best. read more

Will boycott boot barn. Customer service is terrible, corporate philosophy is large part of problem, sale ads are misleading - have to read super carefully, and interpret the ads in store's favor. Bought boots a few months ago. Recently bought western belt. Never again will I shop at boot barn. read more

Pretty annoying that the times on Yelp and the times on the door don't add up. Twice now, we've tried going in during the hours Yelp says they're open and it's been closed. Store hours aren't even on the actual website. The girl on the phone was extremely rude as well. Looks like I'll be driving an hour out of my way to go to any Bootbarn but this one. read more

The boot selection here is amazing, especially for women's boots (Bass Pro had only three boot styles for women and they were overpriced). Boot Barn in Rocklin has amazing customer service. Their staff is helpful, patient, and cheerful. read more

I didn't love this Boot Barn because from the minute I got there I felt like they ONLY cared about up selling. I was already planning on buying a $200+ pair of boots but that didn't seem to be enough for them. The woman who helped us was knowledge, yes, but her attitude sort of took a dive when I told her that I didn't care to buy all of the polishes and accessories that they recommend buying with the boots. I found this rather insulting. I was already going to spend a lot and they didn't seem to appreciate this. Next time I need these sorts of item's I will buy online or from eBay. read more

I just bought a new pair of boots from the Boot Barn. Although the boots were nice and I thought they were fairly expensive at $209.99 plus tax, I felt a little overwhelmed with the constant checking in. I'm in sales, so I understand up selling and the want for the customer to buy quality, but I felt a little pushed to boy more expensive. I also bought 2 shirts with my boots and thought a 10% off coupon would work, but I was told that my coupon was online only. Good products but I was a little disappointed with their customer service skills. read more

I went to the Boot Barn in Rocklin a week ago, I was helped by Birch and Chase who were fantastic, they helped me pick out the best boots! I even bought a new straw and a shirt. The service was great and they even gave me a law enforcement discount, they signed me up for a free membership, with that i will get 30-60 dollars on the account. read more

This location unfortunately gives off a poor representation of the company as a whole. I was browsing online and say a jacket going for $35, although wanted to go in and try it on before purchasing it. So I recently went into the store and noticed the jacket had a price of $50. I brought this up to one of the employees to where she gave zero explanation as to the price difference and refused to match price. I gave a call to the boot barn customer service in which I was informed that the store is capable of choosing whether or not to match price or not. I informed another gal there about the price match, to which she gave me little explanation, which really was no explanation at all, to simply finish with them simply choosing to just not price match. I really love the company and what they provide, but it's very unfortunate that they have such poor representation, as it pushes customers away from returning. I feel as though the company and their stores to get on the same page in what they are providing and their customer service. read more

The supervisor Shannon is always rude and disrepectful. After going there several times and dealing with her terrible attitude I decided to call customer service and complain. A week later the manager of the boot barn called and apologized for her behavior. Personally a demonation would have been better than a sorry. I only say this because she is always rude and never treated me with any respect. read more

Will never buy boots from boot barn ever again. Bought a pair of boots while passing through Roseville. They did not take the security ink off boot. At the end of the day I don't have the jacket or my money very Horrible experience I will not ever buy here again! read more

Very wide selection, very clean store, friendly staff. John was knowledgeable and attentive. Ask for him!

The service at Boot Barn was excellent! I went there for the first time today, and immediately went to the front desk - clerk greeted me, asked if I could use help -I said yes, I've never bought cowgirl boots and wanted some. Erika was excellent - showed me styles in my size, advised me on how to select a pair, and since one I like wasn't there in my size, she ordered it from another branch. She advised me re other stuff like boot socks that won't fall down, and boot trees to keep boot toes from curling up - not in a pushy way, just educational. I gotta say, she was one of the best sales associates I've ever met. So I don't know about some of these negative reviews here, my experience was excellent. read more
