Terrible experience ! I ordered a pair of western boots online for my daughter, and the web page clearly stated 3-5 days delivery, that was Dec. 15. It is now Dec 23rd and UPS tracking reports delivery on the 30th. When I called customer service they claimed the 3-5 days was from the manufacturers warehouse. They also claimed their website stated that these boots had to be ordered by Oct. for guaranteed Christmas delivery. IT DID NOT and still does not. I called their corporate headquarters and was disconnected. I would have ordered from the manufacturer directly had I known. I just came from this place. I was looking to buy a $400 10x western cowboy hat. They seemed busy which was totally fine, I wanted to do some browsing anyway. As I was making my way to the cowboy hats I came across a guy with a little dog on a leash. He was holding the dog however, the dog started barking loudly as I walked by. It's cool I get it, dogs bark, it's what they do. This is the part that tripped me out; the guy tells his dog, " good job boy, good job, you know how to spot the bad ones." I was wearing dirty jeans and cowboy boots, I have a lot of tattoos but I'm also a hard working, country lovin Class A trucker for a demolition company. The guy seemed like he wasn't all there, maybe he was but I said eh it's not even worth it. Let's not be cry babies over it. I continue to look at the hats in an obvious manner. I'm pointing, and trying whatever I can to show interest and intent to buy. I'm tryin to make eye contact but no dice. Finally someone sees me and says, " we'll be right with u." I kindly reply," yes ma'am I see you guys are busy no rush I'll be right here." Long story short no one ever came and I noticed the-reps helping other ppl. I'm sure maybe I just caught them on a busy day or maybe they just happen to miss me standing there for 30mins. It's okay, I'm not hung up about it just wanted to let my experience be known. I've been here twice. Both times were to have the skin on my boots identified. Each time I was assisted by a different woman and both were very kind and knowledgeable. Answered all my questions and even took extra time to give me detailed information about the style and the skins. Considering I wasn't there to shop I thought it was very nice of them to take the time to answer my questions. I'm very surprised to read the bad reviews on their customer service because my experience was nothing but excellent. While there I had the chance to browse a bit and there was so much to look at. This is a great store for all of your western wear needs. As it turns out,,,, also a great place for cowboy boots! I have been wearing cowboy boots since I was about five years old, needless to say I love em! Whats great about Boot Barn is that the staff here are extremely knowledgeable about fitting boots. Cowboy boots are not the easiest to shop for, especially if you are new to the fit and feel of a good boot. I suggest you talk to Ron or Amy and they will steer you into the right direction. Everyone here is helpful and very friendly. They can help you find the just right boot that fits properly and fits your style. Weather you need a rock n roll boot or something to hit the open range in, they have all the latest styles. I drop in here about twice a month to look at the new stuff and all too often end up buying a new pair of boots. Oh yeah, they also have western shirts, hats, jackets and more brands of jeans than you can shake a stick at. As far as customer service goes, they are the best. I cannot say that what happened to me will work for you, but while my daughter was out of town, she bought me a pair of boots(from a boot Barn Competitor). Well, her heart was in the right place, but the boots didnt fit me...too big. Boot Barn here accepted them as a return since I hadnt worn them and allowed me to get the right size that they had on the floor even though they had the other company's tag on them and I obviously didnt have a receipt. It paid off, because the boots I exchanged felt so good they are now my favorite pair. Well good ol' Ron also informed me that these nice boots I just exchanged also came in crazy horse brown! I accompanied my boyfriend to this particular Boot Barn when he went to find some new work boots. He asked a female employee if they had a different size and if not when they might be getting another shipment. She said, "Nope. And we get them when we get them..." And then walked away not giving a s*** whether he bought anything at all. And then came Marty! Marty saved the day! He had a personality the size of Texas, and he steered my boyfriend toward a brand of boot he'd never even heard of before. Giving boot barn 2 stars is being generous. My husband and I came in here yesterday to get him a new pair of work boots. We've heard nothing but good things to come in and be completely disappointed. The customer service here is not up to par at all. Especially considering their prices. We went with a pair of timberlands for him to work 4 hours in and already have a stitch come loose. Moral of the story is bad customer service, terrible phone etiquette, expensive crap. Emphasis on the crap. read more

Excellent selection of steel toed work boots. Only place in the area I could find such a large selection. Wolverine, Timberland and many others. I'll never shop at boot barn again. Their awards program is a joke and their boots are overpriced compared to what you get online. In addition, they don't have a large selection of styles. I have to agree with Megan Below, i went in this past saturday to buy some motorcycle boots, that same lady (i wish i knew her name) totally acted like it was an inconvience to help customers and even sneezed in my friends face without saying excuse me and he is home sick today. she was very rude, walked right past me when i was trying boots on never offered to help and only spoke to the Hispanics with cowboy hats that spoke spanish oh trust me she was all over those guys! not trying to be racist i am a mexican myself, even my dad made a comment to another customer service person about how rude that they are only helping the spanish speaking customers. good thing they have shopping online because i will never go back to this location. read more

I went to this location today because my father was looking for a hat to wear to my sister's wedding this weekend. We walked in and were greeted right away by Ron and a woman, I didn't get her name. We looked around and I was pretty surprised at how limited their selection was. My dad normally wears a 7/12, which I assume is a pretty common size. My dad started trying on different styles and there wasn't a consistency with the sizes. Some would fit his head perfectly, others looked like he was trying to put a baby's hat on his head. We finally found one that fit right and would look good with his suit. Ron was very helpful but my parents who aren't used to that were a little overwhelmed and were getting irritated. But this is my review not theirs and I enjoyed it. Ron also made a lot of jokes that were actually pretty funny and he was very quick with them too. My dad wanted the front of the hat dipped a little farther so they heated up the steamer. It took about 30 minutes for it to get ready which was fine, it was a hot day and we were enjoying the air conditioner. When it was ready Ron let us come into the back and he showed us how they do the alterations to the hats. I had never seen that before so I was very intrigued. The hats ranged in price from $39.99 to $89.99 that they had on display and available. I was looking around and found a few things I might have wanted to purchase but I was turned off by the high prices. My parents also saw a few other things they liked but they also didn't purchase them because of the prices. I gave them an overall rating of 4 stars based on their customer service. I would have given them 5 stars, I took the last off for the limited selections and inconsistencies with the hat sizes. read more

Went to boot barn to just make a simple return for a dress that was given to me as a present. The dress was too big for me and I really needed one for that night. So I went in to do an exchange and the manager CHRISTINA I believe it was. Said the original person that bought it has to return it for me since she was an employee who purchased it. I ask very nicely I really need to exchange this dress is there any other way and the manager said no I'm really sorry it's policy and I can't help you... the way she said everything was very rude and she wasn't even trying to help me out one bit. This manager has no customer service at all and maybe should rethink how to make customers happy. Even with a simple dress exchange! I won't go back there if she's still the manager. I came here looking for a dance boot for two-step. Their selection is a little scant in the higher sizes for women compared to other western boot shops, but they will order anything that isn't in stock. I was helped out by a very knowledgeable staff member who explained so many things: what socks to wear, how to pull boots on properly, the differences of insoles between brands, and more. He was very helpful without hovering. Customer service aside, their clothes and accessories are on the pricey side. The boots are pretty much the same as anywhere else, so I would recommend buying them here since you can have them custom ordered. read more

Absolutely amazing customer service! I brought in a pair of Ariat boots, asking ijf they could stretch them even though I did not buy the boots in that store. The lady who helped me, named Olga, said the problem was that the boots were the wrong size (they were size 7, my regular shoe size). Though I had not bought them there, they carried that boot and exchanged them for the correct size. It had not even occurred to me to request that! Wow, talk about helpful and kind customer service!
