I don't know if Boot Barn holds annual meetings to remind their employees to be just helpful enough but not too much, but it seems to be a common trend. They weren't really rude or anything--it's just that some employees didn't seem to know where things were, and a few had a bit of an attitude. But other times I've been here, there were employees--like these two girls I met on a previous visit--who were super jolly, really helpful, and just overall sweet. So yeah, it's kind of a hit or miss depending on who's working when you go in. That being said, this location is huge compared to some of the other Boot Barns I've been to. The selection is great, which is a big plus. Honestly, if you're looking for something from Boot Barn, this place will probably have it. Overall, it was an okay experience. It's one of my favorite locations just because of the size and selection, but when it comes to getting help, it's definitely hit or miss. read more

Best Place to get Your First Pair! Aside from Boot Barn, I would not know where else to go to that is clean, friendly, and up front. When visiting, it is okay to ask for help and get advice on how to choose a pair of boots. Advice from just about anyone working here will be absolutely helpful. Overall, I find that my best experiences when shopping for shoes is to be proactive and friendly - instead of waiting for someone to come rushing over to greet me and help me. The Boot Barn can be one of those kinds of shops - just like any other place of business can be. You may have to help yourself out here and there, but when you need help - just ask for it. When it comes to boots, however, at Boot Barn everything they have in stock is on the shelf and on the sales floor for any customer to access. What I like the most is the way the store is arranged. If you find a boot that you like, it is usually rather simple to find the boot size on your own and to try it on. There will not be anyone following you around to fetch all sorts of sizes and boot styles for you - and if there is, then that is just a huge plus. Shopping for boots is a very different process than finding sneakers or tennis shoes. 9 times out 10, it is the fit of the boot that matters more than the style, color, or brand of the boot. Went to this place to try it again only because it is close , the service has always been bad .. I was greeted and offered help from Haylie and she was great , very helpful and willing to help . She really gave me a different out look at this Boot Barn and what a difference from previous other times when I have shopped there .. there should be more Haylie's at this Location she is very knowledgeable and HELPFUL! My first time here , it's a beautiful store with lots of western boots , hats , accessories , jewelries and clothing for adults and children . Clean and well stocked in each aisles . They also have a vast selections of work boots from low tops to high tops , lace and slip on types . Many styles and colors of western cow boy boots for children. A few beautiful patterns designs of women sweaters that caught my eyes . They carry quite a selections for plaid, western and cowboy shirts for men and women as well. For their customer service I didn't hear anyone greeted me as I walk in the door nor anyone acknowledged my presence during my close proximity to the employees . I also observed a young lady patiently waited to inquire about a western boot in her hand . The three employees seems too occupied with their conversations about where to display some articles . They didn't address the young lady for quite some time . My suggestions to the managers . Train the staff to greet and acknowledge the customers with in their reach . I can't speak to all the other negative reviews here but my visit saw more than satisfactory customer service from nearly everyone in the shop. I was welcomed warmly by everyone, checked on regularly to see if I needed anything, and I did not experience anything like what Some of these other more negative reviews have shared. BLANCA was the worst. The rest of the employees were very sweet and helpful but Blanca was not helpful at all. I did get there 30 minutes before closing, I needed to try something on and she wasted more time telling me that they were almost closed instead of just letting me try it on. While I was checking out, I accidentally grabbed a kid buckle and she would not let me grab the correct size because it was 7. Yet, other people were still shopping. I was happy to see a Boot Barn local to me but the customer service won't have me returning after my experience today. The female employees working there today (10/22/24 at 1pm) were not concerned with providing service or help to myself or other customers. The male employee seemed to want to help as I was walking out, but I shared that I was fine and didn't need further assistance. Went to visit the shop for the first time today and The atmosphere felt unwelcoming from the moment I walked in, and the staff came across as judgmental rather than helpful. I expected friendly service and a welcoming vibe, but instead felt like I didn't belong there the whole time. Boot Barn has great products and high quality boots! Most boots are made in Mexico which in my opinion are the best! There are great for dressing up or everyday use. The clothing is really cute and they have so many styles! The staff are very helpful and consistent in asking if customers need help. They are respectful and considerate. Boot Barn offers a rewards program too so each dollar you spend, you earn points which leads to dollars to spend on future Boot Barn purchases which I really like! I asked how I can go about getting a receipt. The cashier I asked wasn't sure (but she politely admitted her lack of knowledge for online purchases)...so she asked for help. I can appreciate people that let you know when they're unsure of something...,we all have learning curves...I get that. The other cashier that she asked. We did a lot of Christmas shopping for family at Boot Barn Norco, Chino Hills, and San Dimas this season. We were very excited about the grand opening of Boot Barn Fontana. Love the store, it is a very large store and well stocked. Some of your smaller stores tend to get overcrowded with merchandise and it tends looks messy and becomes really hard to find products, as the isles become too tight. Fontana Boot Barn is clean, the isles are large and open, very impressive Boot selection and clothing selections Many of the start up employees are from other local stores, so it was nice to have a familiar friendly face to help with finding stuff. Had a gentlemen named Grant help me get my boots for my wedding. This guy was incredibly helpful. He showed me the difference between styles and did not felt like he was honest and sincere. It's a very nice store but they have bad customer service . Employee accused me of returning used boots. With all tags were still on bottom of boots were clean. The store itself is really big and nice BUT the costumer service is a giant FAIL. They all have attitudes, nobody's ever at the cash register to check out, they'll leave you standing there for over 10 mins, the girls that work there just walk around instead of asking if you need help they'll just look at you and continue ignoring you. I have come to this store since Day 1 Grand Opening. I've been dragging my feet on writing this review hoping to see some change in management. Thier Store Manager Maria Vega should NOT work in retail or be over a team! She has NO tact with her own employees let alone ability to deal with customers. My first interaction with her was her giving a dirty look to a question I had about an item (mind you not knowing her mgmt position), and her looking at me with a really dirty look. Mind you I spend a lot of money in this store. Also, on this first visit she yells across their entrance doors to a team member on the other side to watch a man in work clothing because she profiled him as a thief. Not only was that unprofessional but why if you had ANY concern about someone would you yell it across a 30ft entrance for all to hear? I was just there earlier this week buying Christmas presents and thankfully she wasn't there. I returned the next day due to a in-store pick-up and unfortunately she was. Even though I only had to go to the front counter I yet again hear this woman loud as heck on the walkie-talkie saying something about a customer and the poor customer is there at the counter and can hear her as well. The team member apologized and then the customer asked for her name, corporate # and left the store. She is just not in any form a person to be in leadership. It's quite sad. I have personally seen the mood and behavior of the staff be drastically different with her present (all unpleasant, look miserable & silent), compared to other leadership there and her gone. I happen to ONLY go in if she is not there. I spend top dollar there and absolutely enjoy a few of their associates that help me on most my visits. If she is there, I will make a U-turn out of the store and just not shop. Ironically, there is also a store at Victoria Gardens that carries many of the same brands or items that I also shop at, and sadly they know of her as well. This woman single handedly has given that location here on Sierra Lakes a bad name and its sad. I can drive 3mins to this store or 30mins to another location and I shouldn't need to. read more

Had to get my daughter some steel toe boots for work, she wore them to training.. that was it 1 day 8hr INDOOR. Ok well she said they hurt her feet and yada yada. I paid 157.00 for these boots!! So we go to return them. First Lady said I'd get FULL refund the way I paid! Cash. Fine after look in the crap women's work boot section she found another pair to exchange.. different lady at cashier and a man. Must be a manager or something, idk.. BOTH were rude as hell! This place just opened up. Very nice especially since everything is new. But this place has a horrible return/exchange policy. Purchase a belt on 12 /22/2022...used it only twice and the buckle broke at the welds. Came for and exchanged and they didn't have the correct size and "Leslie" couldn't replace just the buckle portion. Belts was still good. She had a very rude attitude and poor customer service. This review could of been avoided if they would have just take care of the customer. Very long lines and they only have 3 registers working. read more

What a joke! Walked in today, multiple employees standing around. Had to ask for help, then the sales person stopped to have a team meeting, told the team how low the store was, within earshot, then decided she needed to take her lunch. Handed me off to another employee who she said "could dress me well." That employee didn't know her products, where they were in the store and when I asked what brand jeans she was wearing she told me she didn't know, she got them at Ross for 10.00. When I even said what a shame you don't can find my style or size, the rest of the employees just stood there, store was empty, wonder why. Put the 198.00 boots in my hands down and left. One star for being non size inclusive! This store just opened yesterday and doesn't have a single pair of plus size western jeans. Biggest size they carry in womens jeans is a 14. I did find one cute xxL shyanne kimono. And one xxl belt. But this brand is not true to size. So disappointing... boot barn corporate shame on you for tying to normalize western wear into small sizing only. Plus size western women exist. read more

Horrible customer service. No sense of urgency getting customers through the line and being able to quickly make their purchases. Very slow working employees making customers just want to leave because they take way too long with every purchase & customer. Poor management, woman manager does not know how to properly train her employees to be efficient and make the purchase process enjoyable. I was told I could not make a purchase without making an account with boot barn. I'm not sure if there is a contest amongst other boot barn locations to see who can get the most people to sign up with a boot barn account but I've never been forced at any other business to make an account just to make a purchase. I made a purchase a few days ago at this location without creating a member account. I was asked for my address as well, but did not give in. I should not be forced to receive promotions through text message and email just to make an in store purchase. Overall frustrating experience when employees have no regard when lines are long and proceed to have no sense of good customer service or sense of urgency to try and move faster & get customers in and out instead of making them wait forever. read more

The cashiers are extremely clueless & had to keep asking the female manager for help. My husband asked to use his union discount & the cashier we had (who looks like she rolled out of bed) told him he couldn't use it because the store doesn't have the union barcodes. Also, the other cashier who is a blonde white female asked us to give her our bag of our return before we could walk around the store to find an item of exchange.
