Finding a good groomer is like finding a good hairdresser; hard & stressful…read more Is been following Ruacho's on IG but their location wasn't convenient for me to get to. So when I saw that had relocated just a few blocks from my house I was ecstatic!!! My dog has being groomed (I gave them fair warning) and I also knew that he had tangles by his ears. I actually took him on the 4th of July. I was greeted by a very nice young lady . She explained that due to his condition the cut would have to be very low, I agreed & they took him to the back to get started. I honestly didn't think they'd be able to do such a great job because as I stated, he's not a fan of grooming. But when I went to pick him up I couldn't even recognize him, Miso looked TERRIFIC!!!! And their prices are extremely reasonable . I gave them a very generous tip, told them we'd be back in 6 weeks and we were in our way. Ruacho's has a customer for life .

Inside you'll find vintage horse and farming tools, old-fashioned candy, toys, vintage sodas, and just about anything you could need for your animals. It feels like stepping into a little piece of the past. One of my favorite parts was seeing all the birds. I was wandering around practicing my best Snow White moves because my dream is to someday have two birds following me around like in the movies. After spending time with the birds inside, we headed to the back where there were much older, chickens . Then came the highlight of the day. For some reason, I decided the chickens might enjoy a little music, so I pulled up "The Chicken Song" on my phone. To my complete surprise, the chickens started gathering around me as if they recognized it as their official anthem! One by one they came walking over until I had a whole audience. I wish I could have recorded it, but my phone was busy playing the music and my friend didn't have hers. It was one of those hilarious, unexpected moments that you couldn't plan if you tried.Great selection, friendly atmosphere, adorable animals, and a memorable chicken concert. Five stars from me!

I had a good online experience but this is not the reason for review. I live close enough that I visit the Compton location for in store purchase. The last few times I have gone they were out of nightcrawlers and superworms. How can they be out of superworms for months?! That's like McDonalds being out of hamburgers. They were sold out for a solid 2-3 months. I called the office since none of their other phone lines work and they said they had superworms finally so I headed down on a Saturday and to my surprise they were closed early. This is the third or fourth time that I have gone there and they are closed or went home early. To make it worse, their phones do not work so you can't even call to get confirmation. This place has gone downhill quick in the last couple years which is sad since their prices are incredible compared to a pet shop. I understand help is difficult to find but the two girls in the reptile shop could care less about their jobs. It's been pretty frustrating that they have been closed on multiple visits, their phones don't work, inventory issues, and had to buy online and pay for shipping since they close when they are supposed to be open.

When I arrived, I found out the bag was the size of a kitchen trash can and not a huge lawn/leaf bag. So I decided on two bags. One of the other gentleman employees overheard and recommended a mulch bale instead, he said the can split it in half and bag them for $18 rather $22 and gave 4x more hay. I used to live two blocks from them and always love the small hometown feeling. The are a small business serving the South Bay for decades providing needs to the community at very reasonable prices and the staff is very friendly, that's why I chose them.
