I used to go to this mall when I lived near it, but now it is pointless. There is not much in this mall that I can't find elsewhere. This mall used to be good (maybe it only seemed this way because I was young, and I hadn't experienced much yet). The food court was done a couple years ago and it has some good food here (Subway, China Kitchen, A&W, New York Fries...) There is also an Albert's in the mall, and downstairs they have a bowling alley. Other than that, this mall is like all the others, only not busy & with less exciting stores. Some of the stores here include: Le Chateau, Suzy Shier, Payless Shoes, Zellers, Sears, La Senza, Telus, Bell, Fido, The Body Shop, Shoppers Drug Mart and HMV.

I shop at Bonnie Doon a fair bit as it's often en route in my weekly errands. There's not a lot of big box stores in this mall, but I kind of like that. It's always clean, not crowded and I can get most of what I need here. It's not the kind of mall I would clothes shop in, but for a quick stop for cards, books, groceries, postal services, toy shopping, a snack or haircut, it's great! They recently opened a Toys R Us Express, which was a huge plus for kids gift purchases, especially at Christmas when most malls are overcrowded. I have a great hair salon I go to here (Mist salon), and there's a Safeway and M&M meat shop when I need to grab a meal. A little gem in central south Edmonton, pleasant, quiet shopping.

Not a very modern mall. Could use a few remodels and better / more urban stores added.

In the 70's Loblaws moved out to be replaced by Safeway and Dominion just moved away and their location to the north was taken by Sears.

#200th Review! I…read morethought I had to do something special for my 200th review so why not review best spots in the City! I have lived close to Whyte Ave all of the time I have lived in Edmonton. Whyte Ave is one of the hottest destination spots in the City. It is host to some cool and unusual shops: Great restaurants and nightclubs/bars. Quirky shops. The Farmers Market, A great library in a historical building, Host to many great festivals and events, and so much more. Whyte Ave is also always evolving which makes it vibrant and fun. If you want to know what is happening on Whyte Ave and in the area check out the Old Strathcona Business Association website and event calendar. You can also see what sales are going on and maybe even find a job! http://www.oldstrathcona.ca/

There are lots of great stores (some of which are pretty unique too!) and restaurants. It's a colourful place with an interesting crowd depending on what else is going on in the area. I've been here for parties, festivals, special events, theatre and more! It is quite popular with the university student crowd. That said, it's imperfect: some of what makes it awesome is also what causes issues: it's a pretty popular place with the late night crowd and can get very busy/crazy on occasion. Additionally, these events/festivals can cause trash and whatnot. It's busy enough that parking can be limited and transit from downtown is sometimes awkward. But it's a great destination to reach on foot. And there is reasonably good transit to this area. I definitely recommend a visit, particularly during the summer months.

The outdoor side of things is pretty standard with a Walmart, Winners, Dollarama and Ardene's etc. I come here quite a bit to pick up some shopping but never consider it a mall. The indoor part is hard to find, I was driving around and around trying to find the library! The day I went inside was Sunday and was delighted to see a mini farmers market on the go. It's really small but it has all the things you go to the larger markets for. I was impressed and will head there on a Sunday for my vegges instead of venturing to Whyte Ave and scrambling for parking! I heard form my last visit to Edmonton Public Library that they will be closing this location down so I wonder what will happen to this remaining building after they move out?

I had never been before Friday so I had no idea what I was in form. While WEM is famous, Kingsway is a secret gem, and Southgate is gaining fame as a great mall too, Capilano has been left behind. The "food court" only has 4 or 5 food options and few tables. The most on-trend womens' clothing store is Smart Set, which, while not bad, is never my first choice. I came for a massage at Makami College located in the mall, but I didn't take too much time to stick around post-rub. Not much to see here, folks.

Yes there were a few red flags but majority of my visit to this location was okay. one other thing it is very difficult to identify who is an employee due to the employees not having name tags. Note: i couldn't find the actual store to review

The staff is on top of cleaning up things and keeping the floors clean from all the mud that comes on the shoes from off the street. My only complaint is that I feel there could be a better selection of stores and options. Some of the stores though offer good pricing and good discounts. I will continue to shop here and hope that they get a better selection in the future.
