If you like to wear more unique brands, this store carries lines from New York and L.A., including Line & Dot, Anlo and Yumi Kim. The quality is fantastic - luscious, cozy, elegant fabrics and designs - sexy & sophisticated, inspired by more than a hint of Paris, and most of the pricing is reasonable, although there are a few higher-end price tags about the store. She only uses top quality fabrics bought directly from Italy and her stuff starts usually around $400. It's expensive but not something you'd discard after one season. She creates quality, elegant and inspired pieces to last in your closet for many years. She is unique in what she offers to the Edmonton market, and she's becoming known as one of the up-and-coming new Canadian designers. Wala is also supported by the Italian Chamber of Commerce and is going a great job of making a name for herself.

Finding a staff member on the floor is impossible. My wife was looking for a certain size of jeans and you would think when a staff member sees you digging through shelves, it's time to ask us if we need assistance. Not the case. We looked around to see if someone was near by. Nope. Lastly, even though the store is the same layout there are flaws. There's a hidden area in the kids dept that goes nowhere. I'm confused by that choice. The selection right now is bleak but I suspect once the store gets humming and they have some metrics the stock will increase. So before anyone craps on this place give it time. It will be better soon enough. Just be grateful that we finally got old navy in shpk.

The store was kind of messy, perhaps it was because it was a weekend. I also found it difficult to find what items were actually on sale. There was a rack of pants that said 50% off. I grabbed a pair and set out to double check the price. I found someone and she asked where I had found it. She said only the marked pants were on sale. I went through the 17 pairs of pants and found 3 that were on sale. I was finally able to find a pair of pants on sale and also picked up 2 tank tops. Not in a hurry to go back.

Butterfly Boutique was no different! So many lovely items. I found the prices on the high side but the quality was there. From shirt dresses to gorgeous coats and even a lovely table with a display of jewelry, and accessories. The staff were welcoming and didn't follow us around which was nice. Ardene's is a less expensive place to buy fashion jewellery. They also sell scarves, t-shirts, leggings, hats, etc. I don't buy any of the clothing from here because it truly is meant for 15 year old prepubescent girls, but the jewellery has a little more variety. This store often has 10 for $10 sales, or 5 for $10 sales. This is the whole reason I go here instead of a store like Claire's. Chances are if I walk into a jewellery store, I will be spending at least $10, so why not stalk up? The last time I went here, I bought 5 headbands for $10. It did take me a while to pick 5 out, and this is really the only downside. The staff here are also really nice. They always say hello when I walk in and offer help. I will continue to shop here until I "grow" out of it, which by the looks of it, will not happen anytime soon.
