We arrived around 5:00 PM for our 5:15 PM reservation, so we completely understood that we were early and were prepared to wait until 5:15. What was disappointing was the attitude we received when we arrived. We weren't asking to be seated early--we simply would have been happy to be seated if a table was available so we could get our three kids settled and ready to eat. Instead, we were made to feel like arriving early was an inconvenience. At 5:15, we were ready to be seated and there were several open tables. We were told that an 8-top had just left and they needed to clean the table and floor. We understood that, but then we were left waiting without any updates while we watched other guests who arrived after us get seated. By 5:25 we had been there for 25 minutes total. With three hungry children, we decided we'd waited long enough and left to find somewhere else to eat. What bothered us most wasn't simply the wait. It was the combination of the attitude when we arrived, the lack of communication afterward, and feeling like we were being ignored while other guests were seated. The most irritating part was that we had specifically rearranged our evening because we were told 5:30 was too busy, only to arrive early as requested and then feel like our time wasn't valued.
