I am not a "Chain" Restaurant fan by the most part but Bonefish in Destin has really made me forget that it's a chain. From the second we walked into the door and the Host and Hostess greeted us and then seated us we felt right at home. Our service as well as our meal were perfect. Our server reviewed the happy hour selections for us to take advantage of,and we did. Then we proceeded to order a few different appetizers and each one was perfect. The Bacon wrapped scallops were cooked perfect and the mango salad garnish was fresh and crisp and the mango perfectly ripe. The waygu beef potstickers were melt in your mouth and the muscles were not overcooked and the broth was soooo delicious but not for the person that does not like garlic; I love garlic and so does my husband so we sopped up every bit of the juice with the delicious sauce. I noticed (what appeared to be the Mgr) walking around and checking on guests but they did not come to my table unfortunately; I had a lot of good things to say. read more

I didnt quite know what to think when I entered Bonefish as I rarely frequent any chain seafood restaurants. We were seated promptly and the waitstaff seemed very attentive to our large group. The refill on the drinks were a little slow and their was a side salad that was completely forgotten a few times and never mentioned again. The food was just ok, I had the Ahi Tuna salad which was a little confusing to eat. The waitstaff tried to do best they could but things just werent in sync. If I had to go to a chain restaurant, I might give them another chance. Do get there early as the restaurant fills up quickly. read more

Ordered the "Fish and Chips". They a tempura like batter and are normally very good. Batter this time was thick flour, greasy. Either oil was under temp or batter was old. The waitress was nice enough to speak to the manager about this. The manager relayed back that the batter was as intended and that they would not do anything about it. Please.... read more

We made a reservation on line which we were so excited they took reservations. We called to confirm as they never called to confirm the time as they said that was the process. We arrived 20 minutes prior to our reservation and waited 15 minutes behind 2 different clients to. be seated. Once I was in front of the hostess no greeting or even a perfunctory "hello". I told the hostess we had a reservation but we were early. I instructed her that we would get a drink at the bar and she said she would call us when our table was ready. We had 2 drinks, an appetizer and the complimentary bread and by now it's 7:45 and still no call about our table. We had excellent service by the bartender, Katie. But the hostess was very disorganized and seemed to have no idea how to prioritize or of social skills. Our appetizer was excellent so I'm sure the food would probably have been good but was so frustrated with the hostess and lack of the skills needed that we left. I would say they need to get a new hostess or more help. read more

Every time we come to Destin we go to Bonefish our first night. I've always had a great dinner here, try the bang bang shrimp for an appetizer. I don't think you could possibly be disapointed here. I do wish it was on the water, but no complaints otherwise. read more

This is not a good place to eat with allergies. When I saw that there were not many choices we ended up leaving and our waiter seemed quite offended which made me feel really bad because I was already embarrassed. However, we left him a good tip still because it was a busy time and I didn't want him to feel like we were wasting his time. read more

I'd heard some great things about Bonefish Grill, and when we found one in Destin while on vacation, we decided to try it. We were not disappointed. This is one of the best fresh fish restaurants I've ever tried, hands down. The bacon wrapped scallops for an appetizer were terrific. My wife had the sea bass and I had the grouper; both were amazing. The sides and vegetables were also fantastic. Everything was so good we even went for dessert. Our waitress was the sweetest person and very helpful and friendly. The atmosphere was nice and classy but casual. Prices are a little more than you'd pay at most places but I thought it was worth every penny. I'm definitely a fan of Bonefish! read more

This place has the best sashimi I've ever had, and I've had a lot of sashimi! We always order a large app of it to share. Also, never been disappointed with my food. They're open later than most restaurants which is a plus as well as even if you go to a movie across the street, you could still hit this restaurant afterwards. The service, as with most places, can be a hit or a miss. Often when I go, it's a hit though so no complaints there. You can eat a nice expensive meal, or you can go for the bang bang shrimp tacos for only $10! I love that I can eat here to treat myself or eat here just because I love the food and the atmosphere. I've been wanting to try Bonefish grill for a while, so while my fiancé and I were in Destin one weekend doing some wedding planning, we decided to eat here. We put our names on the list and they told us it would be an hour wait or more (it was Saturday night) so we waited for about 20 minutes until we saw a spot open at the bar and took a seat there instead. We weren't really that hungry, so we decided to get some drinks and an appetizer. Obviously, we had to try the bang bang shrimp because that's what everyone talks about. They were amazing! I got a white sangria which was very tasty! Really good service. Everyone seemed friendly. I thought that the community table in the middle of the restaurant was neat. My boyfriend and I have been going here for some time and the food is always an absolute treat. Fontina chop is by far my favorite though I've never had a bad meal. Tina was our server and was such a joy to be around. She was extremely helping in making everything perfect and went above and beyond with everything down to making sure I ate the donuts fresh. (Well worth the food baby). 4/13/11 Only salt lovers should dine here. Honestly, I usually try to stay away from chain restaurants when at the coast but I made an exception tonight. It was a terrible mistake. My husband and I both ordered the grouper and it had SO much salt it wasn't edible (I'm guessing because it was old). Even the potatoes and steamed broccoli were over salted. The food here is good like other Bonefish location, but the service was below average. The curry chicken with cilantro rice was awesome. The server took forever to get our order, bread, and bill. This location is understaff for the amount of visitors coming into their restaurants. I was surprise that the manager did not work hard to assist the wait staff. I was hers from 6:15 to 7:25, so the place should have been prepare for the dinner rush. read more

O my goodness! We loved this place! Didn't realize it was a more intimate restaurant but saw lots of groups with friends too! Perfect for a date night! Usually like this restaurant but just has the worst Easter experience. Understaffed so waited an hout to be seated despite empty tables. Then had to track down a harried waiter. Then gave up on getting lunch after waiting for food for over 90 minutes. Restaurant was almost empty by this time but still no food. Use to come here all the time. First time back in a while. Seems as if a lot has changed. Restaurant wasn't that busy, but after we got sat, it took up to 15 minutes before we were greeted by the server. He apologized and blamed it on a server that got cut etc. He was pretty friendly, but other tables got priority. Guess we were thrown to him at last minute because of the server getting cut. Food was good, but miss the little personalized touches when they use to box up your food for you and draw the bone fish on the box. read more

I never go to chains but because the places I tried had no tables available I read the reviews and thought it was worth a try as some folks love it. Well... The "bang bang" shrimp were the "soggy soggy" shrimp. That's what happens when you heat up a frozen breaded dish in a microwave. And the sauce that the waitress said was so spicey that she served it on the side tasted like bottled russian dressing. The mahi mahi also tasted frozen and reheated. I wonder if they got rid of the kitchen after they burnt the birthday dinner. {see review 1/12/12} And then there was the seasonal vegetable,,chickpeas and spinach. I didn't know that canned split peas had a season. I didn't get any spinach in my serving,so i guess it was the bits of turkey sausage that was the seasonal vegetable. I am a local and dine there every few weeks. It gets super busy during summer and waits of 45 minutes and more for a table are not uncommon. Rest of the year not so bad. Happy hour drinks are good value. Happy hour food has tiny portions. Food is quite expensive for what it is. Hot bread is going downhill fast - they seem to have changed the recipe and it isn't always fresh anymore. The steaks at this branch of the chain are really quite average at best. I ate at a Bonefish in Pensacola last week and the steaks were excellent. I guess they don't share the same meat supplier. I can recommend the "Sir Wills" fish and chips if you like that kind of food. Service is usually pretty good - sometimes they do have an "off" day however. read more

My husband and I celebrated our Valentines Dinner at Bonefish Grill. This was the first time that we been there but will not be the last. While waiting for our table we enjoyed the Bang Bang Shrimp. We both loved them, had never had shrimp prepared like that before. Our dinner was equally as delicious. I had the shrimp and scallop dinner with wine butter sauce and my husband had the sirloin and crab cake dinner. The sirloin steak was melt in your mouth tender. Staff was very friendly and attentive.
