Just ok food at overprice, try to nickel & dime you for everything, drinks dont come with refills, so got charged for every drinks server offered to refill... Thinness filet of fish I ever seen, restaurants trying to make profit by cutting corners w. Portion size & confusing ways of menu/ pricing. Ok to be fair, I'm only scoring this visit a 2 star but not based off food or atmosphere, or wait. This was our second time here and it was like day and night. When we came here last Wednesday the waitress was AMAZING, she helped us when we had questions about the menu, checked in on us while we were waiting for our food, made sure we had water, bread and our ordered drinks. She was very friendly, fun, and even gave us some good advice to trying new things. So tonight we took my mother-in-Law and my husband (who's bday was today) back because it was so good the first time! Completely different service, our waitresses seems hurried to be somewhere else other than waiting on us, she never came to check on us, we asked for water (which it comes in a pitcher) but she brought glasses and only 2, there is 3 of us here. My mother-in-Law can't eat gluten so was asking about the menu, the waitress said kind of snarky "well we have s gluten free menu" and stood staring at her, and we were like ok can we get it. She avoid our table prior, during and after we ate, she did the bare minimal. Needless to say, this is why I'm writing this review, sometimes there is no need to get upset, and if you are not happy with the service, speak to a manager and make your dissatisfaction known and let it get resolved that way. If I had to score BoneFish Grill over all it's a 5 star because the food is amazing, the atmosphere is inviting, the people over all are excellent! It was a small hiccup tonight but talking with Michael the manager, it made that moment we went through with the waitress a smaller situation. Thank you Michael for making this situation right at the end of all this. Because of the way Michael Took care of us and took care of the bday dessert I score this place a 5 . Had this not been the outcome and Michael taking care of how things were handled it would have been a much lower rating, and the way he did turn things around we will definitely be back. In Closing as a side note because we had to learn the hard way, if you are celebrating a birthday and you tell your waitress or waiter staff that there is a birthday at the table just a side note *****the dessert is not comped, you will charged the price of a dessert, and they don't do the sing to you***** lol..... not a bad thing just wish that was known when by the waitress when advising her of the bday...... overall go check out this place if you haven't already gone, you won't be disappointed!!!! read more

Ah, yes. We finally got a Bonefish Grill in Columbus! I actually sent the powers that be at Bonefish Grill an e-mail a few years ago, pleading with them to build one here. Yay! It happened. We have been to this one a few times, and as another reviewer pointed out, the quality of the food is consistent. Sure, it's a chain, but sometimes it's nice knowing what to expect. Just moved here and wanted to check out a place we never been. Nice place. Had kid menus and a white paper over the table cloth for them to write on(so have no idea why it was put this is not a place for kids). Coming from Cali, this place didn't seem that expensive. I went here the other night with a party of six and we're all from the Midwest. I knew nothing about this restaurant and I didn't expect to find it dimly lit and a little more on the fancy side, but it was overall a nice experience. Our server, Danny, was very kind and helpful. We ordered some appetizers: Bang-Bang Shrimp, mussels, and I think a sushi platter. Everyone at the table loved them. I ordered the Cobb Salad, my boyfriend devoured his Bang-Bang tacos. I'm not much of a seafood person so I don't think I'd eat here again if I stumbled across one, but I did enjoy my meal. read more

This place was pretty great. Great server (Ron), good ambiance, and the tables weren't packed in. The lobster stuffed shrimp appetizer was good and the salad was standard. I've been here a few times over the years that I've lived in Columbus and I have always had a good experience when eating here. I'm not the biggest fish fan but the shark and some of the non overpowering fish flavor meals I've had here I've really enjoyed. I do think it's a bit on the pricey side of things but it's still a good meal and you'll leave full. read more

My whole family ate here tonight, celebrating a birthday. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. They checked on us regularly and didn't mind spilled children's drinks, blue birthday cake icing on the table cloth, etc. My loud group sat outside and it worked great. Been to many of the seafood restaurants in Columbus, and this is one of the better ones. The seafood is absolutely worth the wait and loud atmosphere. Yes, each of the 5 or so times I went there (in 4 weeks), the wait has been long and the restaurant loud and crowded, but I keep on coming back. Being from Los Angeles, I am used to fresh fish, and their seared ahi tuna is right up there with most in LA. read more

As far as Columbus, GA goes, this is a great place to eat. Perhaps in a larger city I might only have given 3 stars because it is a sort of typical, semi-nice seafood spot. But in Columbus I'd say its almost fancy. Don't worry, you can still wear jeans! Everything I've tried so far has been absolutely yummy. Bang bang shrimp is great as an appetizer or in taco form as an entree. The Ahi tuna "Tokyo Style" is utterly mouth watering. After the first time I tried it, I had to go back in the same week for the same dish. Be weary of brunch though - my husband had to send back his salmon omelette thing, it was "not edible" according to a brunch fanatic. read more

Great food. Can't beat the Bang Bang shrimp. The service both times we have gone was bad. Took over an hour for entrées to arrive. Second time we went; arrived at five, and despite having about 75% of the restaurant empty we were made to wait fifteen minutes. Thought it was due to reservations but the tables didn't start to fill till near the end of our meal. Sadly I love the food so I'll keep going back and dreaming of better service. Worst experience ever at Bonefish! Started with the seating when the two people in my party got seated at a 6 person table. There were 5 open tables for 4 but we were told that a smaller table would be a half hour wait. Then a trip to wash my hands and there was urine all over the floor under the urinal. The employee I told didn't seem to care. Next they brought out appetizers that were cold. (Potstickers should be served hot!) I sent them back and instead of recooking they heated up what was sent to kitchen, neglecting the 1.5 cold ones sitting on my plate. So when I complained, they offered to go reheat the 1.5. Needless to say, tacky!! Not sure why I haven't walked out yet but then they come to tell us that their credit card system went down and that we have to pay with cash. The table of 8 next to us just got up and walked out! I should have followed their lead. Going to see how much worse this can get! read more

When it first opened I went and wasn't too impressed. Years later I decided to give it a try and now I go back again and again. I figure the first time I went was due to it being brand new because it is a really great place to eat now. I always get a seat and the wait staff is very attentive. The food is excellent! This is our favorite place to go, my husband likes the seafood and I'm not a big fan. They have great pork chops, chicken, burgers and the best ceaser salad in Columbus. It was a dark and stormy night. I'd just had a long day at our client's offices and was a long, long way from home. Driving back to the hotel, windscreen wipers hissing at the rain, I saw their sign loom out of the darkness from among the other screaming neon lights competing for my attention. In my hotel room, spending some time answering some last-minute emails, contemplating the dimness of the night, I Yelped this place and decided to give it a go. Driving back out (it was only a 5 min drive), I invited my co-worker to join me, but she wanted to keep working (or perhaps I'm ugly). The restaurant was lit gently, and glowed yellowly in the darkness. I was shown to a seat in a large, well-appointed dining room and was quickly sipping from a beer recommended by the waitress, who made sure my food came painlessly. It kept raining. Soup came, and warded off the gloom with its cheery thickness, almost shouting "I'm so hearty! Show some sunshine!". The fish that followed was juicy, tender, and paired with excellent sides, including a soft pillowy rice that made me think of bed. I had some dessert, checked the news, sipped more beer. Party of 7, early on NYE on purpose. Three of us were served, the other four were not served. After two hours the other four were served, and all the orders were incorrect. They were to be boxed up since we had been there soooo long. The manager did comp us all creme brûlée. Since this is six days later, I'm not remembering all the mishaps and probably would not have written this review since I do not even live in Ga., but was just reviewing my checking account statement and my $40ish bill (that I signed at that amount) was sent to my bank for $90.62. My son and daughter-in-law went Thursday November 4 with their 5 children. After waiting several minutes after registering, they were approached by a manager and asked if they had a reservation. No mention of this arose when they first came in. The manager went on to say that most parties of this size placed reservations and the wait could be an hour or more. My son said that they could take a smaller table and place a hi-chair or two at the end of the tables to speed up seating. They were flat told, no hi-chairs on the ends of tables. The reception they received when registering and by the manager made them think their children were a problem and they were not welcome.
