There are better fish on the menu than the Wahoo, an item recently added. For some reason, Swordfish and Wahoo are the mostly likely fish to be petrified on a grill. Because they are fleshy, I guess some people can't feel when they are done. Don't recommend it. Fundamentally, we have enjoyed most of our Bonefish dinners, but not the Wahoo, which properly prepared is wonderful. read more

Parking is plentiful. The food here is a 10/10. Ambiance was nice but also stiff. Took a while for a server to come to our table. The server did her job and that's it. Her personality did not enter the group chat. Her energy said "I'm busy, I don't have time to be cheesing in your face or answering questions, I'll take your order, please eat and leave". The service was excellent! I could not settle on an entree so I selected several sides and I was not disappointed! My favorite dish will always be Bang Bang shrimp but the come in a taco as well! Went here for my anniversary with my wife. The service was excellent and my wife enjoyed her meal. I ordered the surf and turf.. Filet with shrimp... It came with mashed potatoes and vegetables. There was not a single thing in the plate that was not way way way too salty. It was cooked perfectly but I couldn't eat a bite due to the salt. This was a really disappointing dinner. I ordered the parmesan crusted rainbow trout with steamed asparagus and garlic herb potatoes. The trout was dry and barely warm, the asparagus was soggy and unseasoned, and the potatoes tasted like they came out of the microwave. To put it plainly: professional. After hearing raving reviews about their Chicago location, we decided to visit hoping for the same conclusion. The atmosphere was similar to a Longhorn or olive garden in that you wished you were wearing a polo instead of a graphic t-shirt. Since the couple we joined had been to one before, they knew exactly what to have for the appetizer: the Bang-Bang Shrimp. And although I am allergic to shrimp, the constant moans of "wow that's good" made me consider the consequences a little harder. We all ordered, which varied from crab cakes to shrimp and steak to mahi-mahi and steamed broccoli. The surprise side dish was the kung pao Brussels sprouts, which were outstanding. I went with the classic fish and chips. The fish was hot and battered nicely. The batter kept the heat in and was thick and buttery. And the batter was crunchy and sweet. And did I mention the batter? I wasn't able to finish the mound of fries underneath the 3 pieces of cod, but they were good enough for my brother and I to get into a friendly argument on whether steak fries or regular, seasoned fries were better. I also went with the coleslaw because I love coleslaw... and this one surprised me. I've consumed a variety of coleslaw from around the US, and I can honestly say that this was the first slaw to be deemed "refreshing." It wasn't soupy like most, which made me concerned that it would be dry, but the slaw must have been spritzed before being served, and although there was no outstanding feature or taste specifically, I'll repeat that it was simply refreshing. The plates were cleaned and throughout the entire meal, each waitress, waiter or busboy was professional and laughed at each of my father's stupid jokes. To the staff I say thank you for putting up with the walking Geico commercial. Lastly, the flourless brownie with strawberry sauce was served and subsequently consumed. I personally think that flour-ed brownies are better, but that didn't stop us from almost licking the plate. All said and done, the experience and food was impeccable and must deem a return trip. Ps, if you don't want dessert, there is a Krispy Kreme next door that you could waddle to if you feel so inclined. read more

I felt compelled to call out the Bonefish Mother's Day Brunch service. As expected, the restaurant was full, and the wait line long. Fortunately we had reserved a table, and were escorted to our booth almost immediately. As I sat there, I watched a fine-tuned wait staff from the greeters to the Manager continue to provide first rate service, professionally, without rushing, but executed like a ballet! Not a step was wasted as food was delivered, checked cashed out, tables cleared, and thoroughly cleaned, chairs wiped, drinks refilled, all the while smiling sincerely, remembering to honor the mothers at every table. Not one incident, despite the obvious rush. I must commend the staff for creating a lovely dining experience, as well as the Manager who clearly emphasized Customer Service. read more

Another successful visit to Bonefish Grill, only this time it was made better by an experience 8 years ago. First thanks to our waiter "DQ" you took care of our every need, Thank You! Eight years ago after not so good service at a different restaurant, the Store GM(?) personally reached out and invited us back. We didn't let them know we were coming...the short period of time between the bad service and our return the GM had changed the culture for the better; staff, customer interactions, and most important the FOOD! Fast forward to last night where our paths crossed again with my wife recognizing "Ben" right away! Good things happen to good people and Ben is one of the best! The staff and food have always been great at this location! Ben from eight years ago was passionate about food and people, so much that I think it may be contagious by the team he surrounds himself with! The enthusiasm and passion is worth catching! But the fact that they don't make their sauce out of scratch and it's already mixed in with all I gradients was my first bad impression. I asked for just shrimp pasta not scallops and they told me the sauce is mixed it and prepared before. The pasta I ordered was lacking seasoning and flavor. This seafood is frozen seafood at best. Dined In with a party of 4 on a Sunday. We Ordered three meals and no one was pleased with their order. The 1st person in our party exchanged her meal for a hamburger and fries and even the hamburger looked un tasteful and had a sprig of lettuce on it. The 2nd guests Trout was so thin and cooked to almost a crisp. I tasted the fish and it was tasteless. She covered in lemon juice and still couldn't eat it. She took the sides home. I will never endorse this restaurant for any of my visiting guests. If there was was a problem with fresh seafood delivery or cooks on this day , 12/18/22, please let me know, otherwise, I have no desires to visit this restaurant ever again. Service took some time and we ordered the bang bang shrimp and the crab Rangoon dip for the table. Bang bang was fine. Crab Rangoon dip was awful. Shrimp and room temp cream cheese. Would never order again. Entrees arrived after at least an hour. Nothing was complicated and nothing arrived hot. $200 for 'meh' Unlikely to return. read more

The location is similar to other Bonefish locations, the lounge chairs on the outside, patio seating, and the low lighted ambiance. The restaurant was pretty crowded on the inside, but no parties waiting outside. When we went in to get our food, everything flowed smoothly. The food was correct as ordered and was still warm when we were ready to eat it. The Bang Bang Shrimp will come with the sauce on the side, unless you tell them to toss them. They do include the bread, etc even with carry out. It was a decent experience, but I think I'll dine in next time. read more

The worst Bonefish I have ever experienced. Food. Service. Ambience. The whole experience was horrific. A waste of $100. My children serve a better dinner and clear a table with more passion. The sashimi was over cooked and chewy. The drinks were watered down we waited so long for them. No apologies for our wait. We didn't receive our side dishes. Our table was not cleared between courses. Do you even know what it means to serve dinner??? A complete disaster. Clearly this restaurant needs higher education. read more

I went to this Bonefish probably 75-100 times or so in the 3 1/2 years I lived in Columbus. I just moved and I already miss it. I always got the salmon with chimichurri as my main and the beef and ginger potstickers. Never once did I have a bad meal. Love the food, obviously. A HUGE reason why I always went back to Bonefish is because Gavin and Alex absolutely CRUSH the good service and good bartender game. They are phenomenal bartenders/servers. They always made my dinner there a great experience with good conversation, good drinks, and fantastic service. I appreciated the fact that they both always knew what I was gonna order and drink. If you are gonna go to Bonefish, sit at the bar with Gavin and Alex and have a good time and good food. Get the Moscow Mule! read more

This is a place with an identity crisis as it does not know if it is a sports bar with TVs, an upscale restaurant, or a chain restaurant. This was my first visit and I was not impressed enough to want to go back. The grilled shrimp was awesome. The steak was tender but lacked flavor. The salad was overwhelmed with dressing and the corn soup was ruined by having a ton of raw onions dumped on it. The staff was nice and attentive. The environment was noisy. The bottom line is that it was OK...nothing special...and shadowed by several other nice places in Columbus. Given the choice ...it would not be my first choice...or even on my list. read more

Came here with co workers on our last night in Columbus. I was impressed how nice this place is for a small town. Since the weather was great, we enjoyed the lovely patio. I order the grilled salmon, jasmine rice, subbed carrots for asparagus. I was so hungry that I didn't snap a photo but the presentation was very nice. Everything was perfectly prepared, seasoned. This was one of the best dinners I had while out here for work.
