First and last time going to this place. It was bad as soon as we walked in. Dining room was half empty and we had to wait for a table. Asked for a booth because several were available, were told by the hostess we would need to wait 5 minutes. After waiting we were offered a table. We accepted since there were also many open. The hostess seated us in the table closest to the door. Food was mediocre at best. Waitress knocked food in my lap when she delivered my meal. Server was inattentive. Really the only good thing was the drink. The Woodford Old Fashion was pretty good. My girlfriend went in hoping for the lava cake at the end. I went here for the happy hour specials. I ordered The Cure. It sounded good on paper and look really good when my server brought it to me,however I found the dish to be overly salty and not at all appetizing. I had to keep drinking plenty if water just to eat it. I didn't eat the whole dish. Then I ordered one of the appetizers. The Wagyu Beef and Ginger potstickers, which has always been one of my favorites. Well they change the recipe and to me they are not as good as they once were. We were literally the ONLY people in the restaurant when we arrived. It was between 4-5pm. We were ushered to the very back corner of the restaurant and sat down. From that point no one came to serve us. After sitting there for awhile discussing how and why we were being ignored for the past 10 minutes when the restaurant was completely empty we eventually seen a busser come out and bus a dirty table. When she paid us no mind either we decided to finally leave. The only one that even noticed we were leaving was the busser. She asked if anyone ever helped us, to which we replied no, that's why we're leaving. The service and staff here is inexcusably incompetent and unaware. I'm not a big fan of chain restaurants, but I have to admit, this Bonefish had fantastic food, exceptional service, and is decently priced. I ordered the cod and lobster tail with two sides from the special menu and it was only $25, which is not bad for that kind of dish. Highly recommend this establishment. read more

Food is over priced, and most of it isn't even that good. Found out they're forcing workers who have been exposed to COVID to continue working, meaning they're exposing everyone else, so I'm definitely not going there. Loved it! Was my first time here and got the scallops over spinach, bang bang shrimp and some other items. The plating is fancy but with average chain prices which was nice. Okay I really love this place. Why you ask? Let me tell ya why... I just moved from San Francisco a few months ago and the lack of restaurant variety has been a little hard. My hubby took me here on a surprise date and I was indeed surprised! Ambiance/Setting: The ambiance is great for a date night or going out with some people. The light is dim, the decor is nice, and they have nice patio seating. Service: AMAZING. The staff was very attentive. Food: omg, the fish we had was so good. My hubby had the swordfish done pan asian style. It was meaty and cooked perfectly. I had the stuffed tilapia and it was good as well. The only thing we didn't like was the saucy shrimp for our appetizer. Drinks: Last but not least, the drinks were awesome! I highly recommend the fresh apple martini. It taste like applesauce! Great date place in Columbus! We came here when the place was practically brand new. Because of that (and the fact that we came here on a weekend evening), our wait was very long - I want to say more than an hour. But it passed by quickly. Just grab a delicious cocktail from the bar and have a seat either at the bar or in their cozy and comfy outdoor waiting area. For an appetizer, we followed a recommendation to get the Bang Bang Shrimp. The shrimps are fried and come with a delicious spicy sauce. Good way to start the meal, but be careful not to fill up on them too much as it is a fried food and therefore quite heavy. The restaurant was low-lit when we were seated, and the decor was standard, but very new and pristine. Not being a fan of seafood, I ordered Lily's Chicken, which was a baked chicken breast with artichoke, spinach, goat cheese, and lemon basil sauce. This was the first time I had a dish like this and I loved it - goat cheese and artichoke being two tastes I really love. The portions were pretty big, as I couldn't finish my meal by the end. The grilled fish choices are pretty cool because you can pick your own sauce to go with the fish you select! We dined the evening they opened their new restaurant in Columbus, GA. The food selection is great, with a variety of appetizers and entrées, and the service is outstanding. Bonefish Grill has more than 150 restaurants nation-wide and can be higher in price compared to other chain-restaurants, but reflect a fine-dining type restaurant with their balanced environment and spectacular food. All things considered, this is one of the best restaurants in Columbus. I just hope this experience wasn't restricted to the grand-opening. read more

Good food, service, and ambience. Scallops can be hard to cook and mine were done perfectly. Minus one star for the strawberry shortcake, as it was missing the strawberry juice needed to compliment the biscuit and whipped cream. The server asked for feedback on this new menu item and was honestly looking for how to improve it (although I think she knew the answer and wanted ammunition, which is ok with us). I made a reservation online and it was quick and easy. They only asked what time, how many, and for a name and email. We made our reservation for 7:30 but arrived at 7:15. We were immediately seated which surprised me for a Friday night! Out server was Kylie and she was awesome! After we let her know it was our first time here, she suggested appetizers and drinks that she liked. We decided to try the Wagyu Beef & Ginger Dumplings for an appetizer and it came out quickly and hot. The dumplings were fresh and delicious! Definitely some of the best dumplings that I have ever eaten. They had a fresh crisp on them that was perfection. We also had a cocktail with our appetizer, it was the Wild Orchid Hawaiian martini. It was sweet and delicious, but not my favorite. If you like very sweet cocktails, then you will enjoy it. It is like candy! For dinner I had the Filet topped with Lobster Thermidor. It was fantastic! The filet was cooked to perfection and the thermidor sauce was delicious! Our meal came out quickly and it was fresh and hot. There were large chunks of crabmeat in the sauce and it was the perfect combination with the filet. It was not too much sauce and it was paired perfectly with broccoli and garlic mashed potatoes. We had the creme brûlée for dessert and it was creamy and delicious! It is huge, so it is definitely shareable. :) I was very pleased with my experience at Bonefish Grill. $100.00 for this? I make about $20 an hour, so i spent almost an entires days salary for this meal. My question to owners? Ever thought about how hard people have to work and sacrifice just to eat at your restaurant? Decided it would be nice to the go on new years eve. Didn't have a reservation, but we were seated without a wait. Waitress was scattered brain. We still gave her a $16 tip. Didn't receive bread until half way through meal. I ordered the special, lobster imperial, wife ordered sea bass. Took forever for anything to arrive. 20 minutes for bang bang shrimp, hour for meal. Restaraunt was half empty. Potato was nothing but cubed potato with valveta cheese sauce. Wife's meal was stone cold. My potato was not cooked taste like raw potato. Manager came around and we told him, he just apologized and walked off, never to be seen again. Very disappointing. read more

The Bonefish Grill in Columbus, GA has a lot of potential, and by saying this I mean that it already has all the ingredients needed, it just needs to perform. It was a gorgeous day outside, and I noticed that they had outdoor seating. I wish that we were offered the option, but no biggie. When it came time to seat us, the table apparently was not ready, and after 2 false alarms to bring us to our table and reroute us back to the hostess station, we were finally seated. Our waiter was knowledgeable, but lacked any personality, or even a smile, which was a bit strange, but we got past that because he was attentive at the beginning of the service. We put our orders in, and he explained the specials, and was able to upsell us with some soup and salad and some bang bang shrimp. We ended up ordering bang bang shrimp, ceasar salad, corn and crab chowder, pan seared ahi tuna with asparagus and sashimi sauce, and the swordfish and jalapeno-bacon sauce with jasmine rice special. The bang bang shrimp, as always was on point. The salad seemed sloppy and had too much dressing. The chowder, unfortunately, had WAY too much cream, but did, have some nice chunks of crabmeat. My ahi tuna was cooked as I asked, medium rare, asparagus was cooked nicely, but the chick peas on the side were not warm. They did forget to serve the sauce on the side, so the server the catch that and remedied that quickly. The swordfish dish's presentation was incredibly sloppy, as if they just hucked all the ingredients willy-nilly on the plate. It was sad, because it was most disrespectful to the swordfish. Luckily, according to the Mister, the swordfish was tasty. I ate the grilled jalapeno off of his plate and it tasted pretty good, but, if we eat with our eyes first, I would not have been satisfied. Our service started off ok, then kind of died off as more people came into his section, but luckily the manager on duty was taking care of her people. We have never received such poor service as we did todsy. While the food was excellent, the poor service killed any enjoyment. The rearrangement of the dinning room leaves a lot to be dedired. It is now set up only for parties of 6 or more and is not conducive to large people who cannot fit in a booth or to the handicapped given that there are now only three tables for four or less people. The restaurant is usually packed out on Sunday after church. Today at 1 pm, only ten tables were seated with a total of 22 people. Not a good sign for the restaurant. read more

We have visited the Colorado based and enjoyed it, so we decided to try this city. It was a busy night and only the bar area was available, or else a 20-30 minutes wait (which we did not mind). When the rest of the family came in (husband and three kids) the hostess actually asked if we wouldn't mind sitting in a booth to get us in quicker, we tried it out and it was perfect. Our server was Zack, very attentive. He even recommended sides that would pair really well with our dishes. This is how I imagine a restaurant would be, despite it being busy. My family enjoyed our meals and the customer service all through out. We will definetly be dining here more often. The problem is I didn't get to see the itemized bill and I think they charged me for the sides which would be included. Additionally, they could have offered me a reduced entree as an apology for running out of an item that I ordered 6 hours early. FANTASTIC!!! We had the best waiter-in-training ever!! Our duo was awesome, they took care of us like friends, our food was delicious, portions were awesome, and you MUST save room for dessert! Have the Halibut with the tomato and lime sauce on the side or the Alaskan Salmon artichoke special when available. For dessert: Key Lime pie is the winner with an esspresso. read more

First time there this past week, date night. The food was perfect, fish was cooked perfectly bright white all the way through and wasn't dry. The vinegarette that they used on the side salad was flavored well with some unique items in the salad. It's definitely a good place to take a date. It's a little more expensive, but I think you definitely get what you pay for. It's quieter and a little dark for a more intimate setting. read more
