    Happy hour dragon cocktail
    MaryAnn B.

Enjoyed some good eats and drinks at happy hour. Like the table spacing inside; separate tables but arranged in a communal way. Service for us started out well, but waned a bit before we got checks. All in all, a good happy hour.

Stopped by Bonefish Grill for a solo lunch and was surprised to see how busy it was for a Monday at 2 PM. Apparently, the $5 margaritas draw a crowd, which makes sense. The welcome wasn't the best. I stood at the front for a couple of minutes before being acknowledged, and I almost left because it didn't feel very inviting. Once seated though, my server was great, clearly overworked, but he hustled and did his best to keep up with a busy section (only two servers on the floor). I Started with the bread and pesto, tasty but a little salty (coming from a person who loves salt). I ordered the fish and chips with the Bonefish side salad, and that salad was SO good! Definitely not your average side salad. The fish was hot and delicious, fries were fresh but very salty. Overall, I enjoyed my meal and left full. I'll definitely be back, but management should consider staffing up, especially when running specials. The wait between service steps was noticeable.

Bonefish doesn't have the best tasting entrees so I don't go for food. I go on Mondays for $5 Martini Monday and Bang Bang Wednesdays ($7 bang bang shrimp). My favorite martinis are the Crushed Pineapple and the Heatwave. Pictured below are the Strawberry Rose Sidecar and the 1901 Dirty Martini. I liked the dirty martini! The sidecar wasn't balanced. I always have great service and the atmosphere is very lively, so if you're going for a quiet date night, choose another place.

I arrived a little after 4pm on a Thursday afternoon with my sons. (Visiting STL from out of state). We were promptly seated. CJ, our waiter, came over a couple mins later with waters and complimentary bread. At 4:15pm, I ordered bang bang shrimp appetizer and it came at 4:23pm. It was fresh and delicious! We ordered food at same time appetizer came. Order included: kids popcorn chicken, bourbon glazed salmon (with asparagus and potatoes), and the blackened Baja fish tacos (with fries). Entrees came at 4:53pm. The food was AMAZING!! My asparagus was soft tasty vs it being stringy; potatoes seasoned nicely, and salmon cooked perfectly. My sons enjoyed their food as well. CJ's attentiveness was on par for the occasion. No complaints!

Jovanna was our server. She was attentive and friendly. We did an online reservation for 11:15a , building was spacious, sultry and romantic. Hubby and I decided to try brunch and I was hoping for more variety of a menu and bottomless mimosas. Menu was very basic and not appealing in my opinion. Hubby picked shrimp and grits and he was happy, I opted on the salmon entree with mashed potatoes and broccoli. Both orders cooked fresh . Drinks we decided on the pitcher of sangria. Good but overpriced.

Came with a large group, which in many cases doesn't turn out that well. BUT, when you've got the right restaurant, and the right SERVER, the experience can be totally different. Everything about our evening was great! The cocktails were delicious and the food was tasty. It was loud, as it is in most restaurants anymore. But the service we received made up for the loudness. And even though we were a large group, we didn't get an automatic tip tacked on. I always reeeeally appreciate that, and in some cases (like here), tip even higher than the normal rate. Not sure if this is the restaurant's policy or that particular server's, but either way, I SO appreciate it. Well deserved kudos. Looking forward to coming back for Happy Hour....

Nice lunch vibes, cool bartender, my first time having mahi mahi, I would definitely try again. The appetizer- Crab cakes were good.

Driven past this place my whole life, finally decided to stop in and try for dinner. It was empty! No wait, we were seated right away and had the option for bar or dining room. We chose dining room and looking back, I'd sit at the bar for more immediate service. We were kind of tucked away, it was probably easy to forget about us. Our waitress was nice enough, but she wasn't super familiar with the menu so she didn't have many recommendations outside of popular dishes. The atmosphere was nice, it's a little older and very quiet. For food, we got pot sticker appetizer which was lovely. A little disappointed with the Brussels sprouts but the steak frites and shrimp were good! Of course had to try the espresso martini, which was also a little disappointing. Overall though, it was a nice meal.

I am already a regular here, and each time it's just as good! This restaurant really impressed me! The seafood was some of the freshest I've had in a long time -- the fried calamari was light and crispy, and the Parmesan-crusted rainbow trout was outstanding. We also tried the truffle fries, burger, and pork chop, and every dish was flavorful, well-seasoned, and served in generous portions. On top of the great food, they offer $5 Martini Mondays, which is such a nice perk for a spot with this level of quality. Service was top-tier -- attentive, fast, and professional without ever feeling rushed. Overall, it's the perfect balance of upscale dining with a relaxed feel. Definitely a place I'd come back to for both special occasions and casual nights out.

Came here last night to celebrate me and my mother's birthday. We had reservations we made in advance and an attentive waiter. The dragonfruit margarita was so delicious that I plan to make it at home too! The bang bang shrimp and its saucy lettuce underneath is always a treat. The bourbon glazed salmon was perfect - slightly smokey and so savory and sweet.

Tried the Bourbon Four-Course Meal at Bonefish Grill and was really impressed. Each course was well thought out, and the bourbon pairings actually elevated the meal -- not just thrown in as an afterthought. The pacing was smooth, the service was on point, and the portions were just right. Everything had great flavor without being overdone. It felt like a complete experience, not just dinner. If you enjoy bourbon and well-prepared food, this is definitely worth checking out.

I thoroughly enjoyed this meal for Valentines Day with my Galentines! The food was amazing and the service is amazing! I am a frequent regular at this restaurant and Kyle always provides excellent service with making sure to provide great recommendations. All the staff have been welcoming. The ambiance has always amazing and peaceful. Great for happy hour as well which they have daily! I would recommend a reservation for the weekend though if needed! 10/10 always recommend for great food and drinks!

I see the name Bonefish Grill pop up online every now and then, but I've never actually been to one before. It was conveniently located in the same plaza as the Drury Inn we were staying in, so we walked Cords the parking lot to BG for dinner the other day. This is a pretty nice restaurant. Upscale, but not overly snooty. White tablecloths, dim lighting, with a large bar. The service was very friendly. From the hostess to our very energetic and friendly (almost overly so) waiter, we felt like we were in good hands. I started with a mocktail (Sparkling Blueberry Refresher). It was perfect, not too sweet and plenty of tartness. The food is where it gets tricky. Some dishes were good, others were just okay. Our server really overhyped the Bang Bang Shrimp, IMO. They tasted greasy at best. However, our entrees were really good. My Mom's Horseradish Butter Topped Filet Mignon was insanely good, and I enjoyed my Bourbon Salmon (but not as much as her steak). Would we come back? Yes. Between the atmosphere, service, and entrees, we were decently satisfied with our meal.

I had my first dinner of my stay at Olive + Oak, and it blew me away from the moment I laid my eyes on it. From the unsuspecting street outside, the giant windows glow with the warm, sparkling light from within. An elegant dining room with a beautiful bar and a good amount of hustle and bustle. I felt like I was at an upscale New Orleans joint. Very cozy. Service was just as beautiful. Our server was extremely nice, new the menu backwards and forwards, and rattled off the nightly specials without hesitation. And on top of all of that, when we were getting some stuff to-go, she threw in more bread for us! You can't train that level of service. That's just a good person. Onto the food. We started off with the Blue Crab Gratin (calabrian chili, celery + pretzel bread). This was ooey, gooey, cheesy, delicious, had a fair amount of crab in it, had a nice little kick, and the sliced, crunchy pretzel bread dippers were exquisite. Something seasonal that isn't on their menu anymore, we ordered an Okonomiyaki, which is a savory Japanese pancake, basically, covered in sauce. Wow, this thing was done well. Very reminiscent of the authentic thing I've had in Japan. Very nice. Another dish that isn't on the menu anymore, the Catfish dish. It was slightly Asian and on top of some sort of risotto rice. I can't remember exactly, but I do remember that it was very well cooked, had a nice char. An eclectic dish that came together very nicely. I also got to try some of the Rabbit Crepe (port wine braised rabbit, blueberry, fennel, arugula + kenny's bleu gouda crepe). Some people might shudder at the idea of eating rabbit. Those people need to grow up. Rabbit is one of the most succulent, delicious meats out there, and in this wonderful flavor combination, in a crepe. This chef is genius. I could have downed two of these things. We finished off the night with the recommended Cloud Cake (vanilla chiffon cake, coconut pastry cream, coconut + whipped cream icing). This thing was de-ca-dent. A nice, thicc sponge, a very coconuty cream, and a whipped icing with lots of coconut pulp in it. So heavenly. Overall, my socks were blown off. Not only does St. Louis have good food, this was a better meal than I had in Nashville and Kansas City. Who would have guessed. I would love to come back.

We shared mussels, the beet salad, the soup flight, and the pot roast. Everything was good and tasted well prepared. The mussel broth was flavorful. The soups were excellent. The pumpkin and pear soup leaned toward a dessert profile but fit the season perfectly. The beet salad was not the typical style. The beets had a crisp texture you do not usually see, but the flavor was good and the goat cheese worked well. The pot roast was also solid with tender meat and plenty of flavor. Dessert was the coconut chocolate pie. It had sliced almonds that added some crunch and the portion was large enough to share. Drinks included the brandy margarita and the elderflower gimlet. Both were fine but the margarita was the standout. The cognac note gave it a deeper flavor. Overall, a pleasant dinner with good food and a cozy setting. I would return.
