I opted for my base as Açaí with 3 toppings: mango, strawberries, blueberries, and a touch of drizzled chocolate syrup ($12.50). I asked for Raspberries and Chelsey said they don't have it. That's too bad. The size of the cup that I got was small and actually looked medium to me. They had different sizes of cups. They have many different toppings and dry toppings, variety of syrups, and indoor and covered outdoor seating. I ate inside. The place is so cute, quaint, nice decor all around. This time I was told it wasn't possible due to company policy, and when I asked if it could at least go on the side instead, I was told no again, with a comment about cameras watching. I was happy to pay for cinnamon it but she refused. The employee told me she was the manager, which was surprising since I hadn't seen her before and have never had this kind of experience at this location. I've worked as a restaurant manager myself, so I know how these policies typically work, and this felt more personal than an actual requirement. This was an inconsistent and needlessly rigid application of one, especially for a request as small as a sprinkle of cinnamon that had been accommodated before. I'd expect a manager, of all people, to go above and beyond for a longtime customer, not make a small request feel like a confrontation. As someone who tips and comes back often, I'd appreciate some clarity from management on what the actual policy is, and a little more flexibility for something like adding cinnamon to my bowl. Whether it's pizza or sandwiches, everything is amazing. My most recent order was the Persian pizza and the hot dog sandwich, and both were absolutely delicious. The flavors are always on point, and the quality never disappoints. The staff has always been very friendly and welcoming. The only thing I've noticed is that the pizza sizes have gotten a bit smaller, but the prices are still very reasonable. Each pizza is definitely perfect for one person. The owner, Roger, kindly offered to add spinach into the shake at no extra cost. He also gave me a sample of a new soft serve dessert and conversed with me for a bit. The shake was well balanced, not gritty from the protein, and a great thickness. The shop has a parking lot, and there are about 4 seats inside if you would like to hang there. I see why this place is rated so highly and will definitely be back.
