I don't know why Yelp does not allow a zero star review. This establishment does not deserve any stars at all. There is no greeting, no "I'll be with you in just a minute" absolutely nothing. There were 4 men in there not busy yet they didn't know how much they charge for drapes. They also expected me to help measure my drapes. Knowing they had 3 other people who were doing nothing. The only customer they had was I. If I'm going to pay for a service shouldn't you provide that service entirely? I took my business somewhere else. I was greeted and served quickly and with a friendly attitude. I'm very pleased with how the coats were cleaned. Quick turn around with all cleaning done on premises. This one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever encountered. I am a professional. And as a professional I encounter every customer service interaction as if I was the other person as well. My mother had a $200 shirt to be dry cleaned by them. Upon return they not only told her they lost it. But also told her there is no return of $200. They promised her $30 service fee refund and when my mother went to pick up the $30 refund. They said they don't have it nor are the employees are allowed to give any refunds. When asked where the manager is and if he would like to issue the refund, the employees there (a male and female 5/16/25 am shift) said the manager does not come on all day and only comes in late at night to collect money. As a daughter I am trying to get both sides of the story, and work out a check or money order or setting up a meeting with the manager. Upon calling on behalf of my mother to come to an agreement, the line is busy or disconnected. This is awful, disrespectful, and not considerate of my elderly mother. I have never received this much run around for one item. This is GHETTO. Please do NOT use this service unless you want to loose your belongings, loose your trust in a. I've been going to bonded cleaners for a while now and sometimes it's Best to go somewhere else or do the service yourself I once run in a white shirt that needed treating and a good cleaning and when it came back a week later it looked clean but when I inspected it a little more thoroughly there were still stains on the shirts that I specifically asked for them to remove and they didn't do it. But it's not always guaranteed for what you pay for you're going to get complete results. Sometimes it's best to save your money and to do it yourself which is not that hard. We brought a $500 dollar button men's shirt to get dry cleaned and got it back with all the buttons broken and once we let the them know they said come back when a supervisor is there which we did and it has been THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER supervisor told us they would replace the buttons or replace the shirt that they would contact us in 30 day that that was there policy never got a call back been past 30 days called multiple times finally after the 5th time calling spoke to a supervisor who let me know they couldn't replace the buttons and we're not replacing the shirt that they never said that so apparently we imagined that part didn't even try compensating or anything after ruining the shirt horrible customer service wasn't even given options besides "hey we kept your shirt for over a month for no reason and we're not helping you out with the damage we caused to the shirt" so STAY AWAY from this place especially if you spend your hard earned money on buying nice clothes for a company to ruin and NOT EVEN TRY to fix and just give you the run around for over a month. read more

I do not typically choose to leave negative reviews for local businesses because as a business owner myself I understand the effect of a negative review but considering the blatant inconsideration and poor customer service rendered today by the OWNER herself of Bonded Cleaners on Standiford Ave., I felt it necessary. It was disappointing to experience such insensitive and incompetent behavior from an owner of a business that I have been a frequent customer of since moving to Modesto nearly 3 years ago. My family and I used their services weekly. Prior to today I have always had positive experiences with the employees I have encountered. Upon picking up my dry cleaning over the weekend I noticed that a blazer of mine was missing a button. I returned to Bonded Cleaners to inquire about the missing button, hoping that maybe it was found and in their possession. As I was calmly conveying to the owner about this mishap, she proceeded by being very insolent. She was adamant in suggesting that my blazar was either already damaged prior to dropping off or that I had lost the button myself after picking it up from them. When I questioned what their policy was in situations such as this since there was no clear signs of any policy being displayed, she continued to deflect and assure me that ALL dry cleaners in Modesto would not take liability for any damages. From her immediate tone she took with me, to body language and face expressions, she remained presumptuous throughout this entire interaction. I found this experience extremely offensive, especially considering that I addressed this issue decorously. I am a firm believer that great customer service is the foundation of a successful business. We as owners need to keep in mind most of our choices can affect our employees who work to earn a paycheck to support their families. This business owner decided to display poor customer service without considering that she may lose a loyal customer who contributes to the company's bottom line, which contributes to keeping employees paid. Bonded cleaners ruined all five of my uniform shirts. They got ink all over them and when I brought it to their attention they were in disbelief that they were at fault. They attempted to fix them and ruined them even more. Took them a month to address. No communication as to the status of my shirts. My shirts still have ink on the inside and spots on the outside and now smell like chemical and smoke. There is no quality control. How I was allowed to pick up my shirts without someone noticing the smell and condition is lack of caring. I will now have to spend well over $500 out of pocket to buy new shirts. I will be addressing with the manager, not holding my breathe as the customer service has lacked since the departure of the previous crew. 8 years as a customer....very disappointed. Strongly recommend NOT using Bonded Cleaners-UNLESS YOU DON'T MIND: loss of article/s that you've already paid in advance to have cleaned; and, total lack of follow through and/or response to your complaint. In my case it was only a dress shirt that they lost. My loss is only the $5 paid in advance for cleaning, plus maybe $35 to replace the shirt. My wife & I have both tried to get them to address the situation (to no avail). My wife was told a supervisor would contact us by phone, but that never happened. I phoned the business and was told a supervisor would get back to me, but that never happened. I phoned again; and this time spoke with a female supervisor. She said that she would try to track down what happened and get back to me within a couple of days; but that didn't happen either. I phoned and asked for manager; but was told I'd have to leave contact info for the manager to contact me: that response didn't happen either. I came to Bonded Cleaners because I had broken zippers on a dress + a jacket. Upon inspecting my clothing items, a Bonded employee informed me that the zippers would take approximately two weeks to fix. I was surprised (and a little disappointed) by the turn around time but I'm assuming it was because they had to order and wait for the zippers to ship.The employee charged me $15 for the dress and $9 for the jacket -- she told me that if they found the zippers to cost less, they would refund me the money. I thought this was a very nice gesture, considering I already found their prices more than reasonable (although I wasn't refunded any money). The employee informed me she would call as soon as the items were ready for pick up. Two weeks passed by and I did not receive a phone call. I happened to remember my clothing items while passing by one day and stopped in to check. I informed the woman behind the counter that I had not received a call about my items. She told me they had tried to call me but were unsuccessful. I later discovered that the girl who assisted me the Thursday I came in recorded the wrong telephone number. All in all, I understand that this was a small mistake on her part, but it was a mistake that could have cost me my dress and jacket. Bonded did do a fantastic job on my zippers though -- both feel very high quality and match each garment perfectly. Additionally, Bonded steamed out my garments. I am very impressed with their attention to detail and will most likely return. Ultimately, coming to Bonded was affordable and saved me a lot of time/heartache from fixing those zippers myself. read more

I see a lot of complaints that this business has ruined clothing left with them, this has never happened to me. I've been using Bonded for as long as I can remember, and never had a bad experience. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Several times I've had repairs done as well, always excellent work. Once I decided to try somewhere else that was closer to home, it cost me $20 more and because it wasn't martinizing I had to wait a week to get my clothes back. UPDATE: I spoke with Sue, the manager of Bonded Cleaners, and she explained that they contract with Quality Cleaners in Tracy to do the laundry and Bonded Cleaners only does the dry cleaning. Therefore, all clothes that are taken to Bonded Cleaners for laundry is cleaned by Quality Cleaners. Apparently, Quality Cleaners cleaned my jacket which was damaged. And, Sue contacted Quality Cleaners and arranged for me to receive my $40 check, as was promised. So I am thankful to her for that. I have contacted the BBB to give them an update of this as well. I really appreciate this place! If you drop off your clothes before 10am, they will be ready the same day! This is fabulous turnaround time. I've had my uniforms dry cleaned and the simple wash - both ways have been timely and efficient. I think they do a great job pressing my shirts and pants as well. I haven't had a problem with them. For the same price, I have gone to other places with a 2 day turnaround, rude employees/owners and issues with keeping to the timeframe commitments. Recently, I was told by another dry cleaning place to take my business elsewhere if I wasn't happy. Been going here for years and have suggested all my clients to come here and never a problem until today. Just picked up my Calvin Klein work dress from this company. When I got home I noticed there was a gold attached belt on my dress that was clearly broken. I took my dress back and the young man at the counter was completely rude. He informed me that they didn't break it and not to assume they did anything. I explained that it clearly was not broken when I dropped it off and now it was broken. He shrugged his shoulder and said "wasn't us" I said so you want me to assume my dress buckle just randomly broke for no reason" he proceeded to say "no, I'm assuming you bought a broken dress and now are trying to blame us for it" I laughed so hard at that remark and asked "are you kidding me". Then He proceeded to say "are you trying to talk to me like that because I'm Mexican?" At that point I got pissed because I'm Mexican too, I told that kid not to disrespect himself with comments like that. I then asked for the managers information so that I could file a complaint and he REFUSED to give me any information. I plan on going back tomorrow and everyday until I can speak with the owner, I also happened to find a photo of me wearing the dress shortly before I dropped it off for cleaning and you know what......no broke belt buckle in the photo. Shocker I know! Absolutely ridiculous customer service and actions to the employe working today. I also now have a ruined, expensive work dress. I wish they would have at least acknowledge they broke it when I picked it up and we could have worked together to get it taken care of but instead I've been insulted by a young, unmannered kid who has now made the situation even worse with how angry I am.
