I've brought my dog, Gremlin here for two visits now and have had a great experience. Prior to using Bond Vet, I visited another vet in the area. At the other vet I visited, it was only possible to make appointments via phone, and there was no online system for viewing pet medical records. At Bond Vet, you are able to make appointments online quickly and easily, and although they are only doing drop-off appointments right now because of COVID, the process is seamless. The staff call you prior to when the appointment starts and after drop-off to discuss your pet's issues and to confirm what they'll examine for. The vet calls you after the appointment is finished to go over the findings and the treatment plan, then they come out with your pet a few minutes after that. The service is friendly and professional, and I like the transparent cost breakdown of costs, as well as being able to see all records online and book appointments. They have other locations around Manhattan. Would recommend to anyone looking for a vet. read more

During Covid, adopting a dog was daunting. Bond vet in cobble hill made it so easy for my new pup, Maui to get a checkup and his vaccines! They had good social distancing practices, and the vet calls you on the phone to give the consultation since we can't go inside. They were very clean and organized and thorough. I was late to my first appointment, but they helped me rebook easily for the next day. They explain all the pricing before doing any procedures or vaccines and the vet explains everything in detail and answers all your questions. Terrible, terrible experience I brought my 14 year old dog in because he's had a bad cough and was sent home with what seemed like an end of life care pack without any discussion with the vet that that was the plan for my dog now. I felt horrified and completely cut out of the loop. After that bad experience, I just wasted a week trying to refill the prescription that Bond wrote for my dog. First they forget to follow up. When I call back, they say the doctor will call the prescription in to my local pharmacy that day. When I show up to the pharmacy two days later, no one had called it in. When I call Bond back, they say sorry there was a mix up and they would call it in immediately. I stand in the pharmacy for 20 more minutes before the pharmacist tells me no one even called. I call Bond back and after 20 minutes on hold, they tell me they can't call the prescription in out of state and I need a new vet. Why didn't anyone tell me that an hour ago? Or even better, a week ago?? My poor dog has been coughing, and I wasted an hour of my Sunday trying to fill the prescription. Don't bring your pet here. read more

My pibbles had been sick for a few days and nothing I was doing at home was helping. Her regular Vet office said they had nothing available (I was angry). I jumped on the internet and after reading a few reviews I made my decision to take her to Bond Vet. I got a same day appointment. Their team is the BEST. They took their time to explain the treatment options and fees. By the time we got home, I saw improvements from the meds that were injected as well as hydration pack given. Less than 24 hrs later and she's back to normal. Her appetite is back and she's her happy self again. It was worth every penny!!! Do not listen to the bad reviews! They made me nervous to go in but this was the most convenient option for me during an emergency with my cat, and they were WONDERFUL. Yes, it can be slow, but this is an urgent care and a primary care practice--they're squeezing walk-ins between regularly scheduled appointments and prioritizing emergencies. Yes, it can be expensive, but show me an urgent care vet that isn't? They are extremely caring, transparent, and realistic about budgets. The doctor and all staff went above and beyond to make me and my cat feel comfortable, answered all questions with knowledge and patience, and worked diligently to help my little guy as much as they could. It's very frustrating. This place looks nice, the staff is attentive and the doctors are knowledgeable. But the bureaucracy and the EXTREME corporate guidelines render the feeling that "selling and charging" come before "taking care of my pet." Not to mention the slow and unreliable communication. I've had at least three bad experiences in communicating with them because it's NEVER the same person who answers the emails. Since you'll only see the same doctor IF YOU REQUEST, I feel like my pet is treated like a chart, not a living being. One vet wanted to put my dog under anesthesia and take a biopsy sample for a cyst that went away in 4 days. The cost would've been $500 +, of course. Oh, and the decision to wait and see if it would go away came from another VET. On another occasion, I was told that the second dose of the flu shot would be $55 and they charged an extra $35 for a nurse visit WITHOUT TELLING ME. Not to mention the overprice the consultation is $110,00 , and the same medication that costs $4.00 on Chewy is sold for $20 by Bond vet, or 400% more expensive. The only thing that kept me taking my pet there was Dr. Bloomfield, who'S an amazing professional and counterbalances the cons. But I'm drawing the line. Oh, and I wrote all of this on a post-visit survey. The answer: "We're thrilled that you and your pet had an awesome experience with us!" They're so bad that even their automated service is flaude. My dog was having pretty bad diarrhea so I took him here since my normal vet was booked up and I didn't want to have another sleepless night. I was able to get an appointment the same day which was great. The nurse was also very kind which is why this is 2 stars instead of 1. However the vet Dr Bloomfield was very rude to me. I fasted my dog for 24 hours to try to get the diarrhea to stop, as it had worked for him before, and basically every website on the internet said it was a good remedy (including Bond's own website!!). Well before even introducing himself to me, the vet scolded me very rudely for fasting my dog, obviously trying to guilt me even though I was trying to do the right thing. I was only following the advice they put on their own website, maybe they should change that if they're going to yell at people for it. He also guilted me for feeding him The Farmers Dog, which my other vet said was great. I assume this was an attempt to sell me a food he gets a percentage of. They also charged me $45 for a medicine that's $10 on chewy. I was excited to try this place since it's modern and they have availability on short notice. But I don't think I will go back unless I have another urgent need, and even then I think I'd look elsewhere first. read more

This review is mainly for Dr. Fadl, but everyone else I interacted with at this location was also lovely. Dr. Fadl did a dental procedure on my little one that included a few extractions. She was very kind to me when I dropped my fur baby off, she was patient, answered all of my questions and assured me that she would keep me up to date (which she did). Very professional and excellent bedside manner. 10/10 would recommend, especially if you're nervous or your pet is nervous or both! read more

BondVet Cobble is great! Everyone is so nice and professional and the space is immaculate. I live in the west village and have a great vet but when my dog needed surgery, I had to find Dr. Pavia because she is an amazing surgeon. Thank god Google helped me to find her because she had left her former practice and I couldn't think of any other surgeon I'd trust with my yorkie. She had operated on my morkie years before and did a wonderful job because my girl looks and acts like she never had hip surgery. Before I found her, the two main hospitals in the city gave me a six week wait before I could get an appointment. This was not ok for me because my dog had a tumor. Dr Pavia saw me 48 hours later and scheduled the surgery for the following week. My boy came back groggy and within 3 days, he was back to normal. Dr. Pavia is a skilled surgeon and not sure what I would've done if I didn't find her. I forgot the name of the nurse who works with Dr. Pavia but she is pretty great too. Had a wonderful experience here with my baby, Mika! The check in COVID protocol is well thought out and, more importantly, well executed. The employees are really great, welcoming, and caring. Had zero hesitation of leaving Mika there. Even when the doctor called me to discuss the visit, they were not only patient and extremely thorough, but also lovingly attentive to my dog, telling me about how she's giving kisses to everyone, and impressing them with how high she can jump. Just got back from our annual visit with Bond Vet. They whole process - from check-in, to updates throughout the appointment to paying - was so seamless. They are Covid-friendly at the moment, and we still had the chance to meet with the Vet for about 10 minutes and talk through any concerns, updates, etc. The whole staff is so friendly -- you can tell they really care about your pet! Wow, I cannot thank everyone at Bond Vet enough. The hours are amazing - 12pm to 10pm everyday. I had an online appointment scheduled the day after bringing home an 8-week old puppy but ended up going in same-day after being nervous about a tummy issue. The checkin process was seamless and the staff could not be friendlier! Dr. Erin Mackey and the nurse were so helpful and handled our pup with care. I wish my human doctor appointments were as informative and straightforward when it came to options, recommendations, and pricing. Think of it like One Medical for pets! I've had three dogs. All needed to be euthanized in their old age. Blue Pearl (nightmare) cost $1,000. Bond Vet cost $500. One Love cost $285. As for the care, it was spotty. As One Love couldn't see us when my dog was collapsing, had records transferred to Bond Vet. The vet who assessed my dogs condition just yelled at me about the horrible condition he was in. My dog was 15 years old and a rescue who came with a whole host of issues, in the first place. The hectoring, from the vet, didn't help during this stressful situation. Had the dog euthanized the next day. The technician was either inexperienced or just inept. In order to insert the catheter she initially shaved the skin so I could see the bone! She then moved on to his other leg where she poked and poked and poked until she had to admit she didn't have the technical ability to get the catheter inserted properly and brought in another tech. This all while my dog was suffering and scared. The vet who did the euthanasia was fine. All told, I'll likely not return given both the price (nearly double that of one love), the rudeness of the first vet and the inexperience of the technician. read more

I had to go here because my regular vet had no availability. The vet tech was lovely but the veterinarian was awful. She told me I should consider giving away my cat because my other cat has FIV and apparently I'm essentially dooming him to a lifelong illness. I know that understanding of FIV is very limited, but I cleared adopting the second cat with multiple vets and and rescue agency. I'm furious that this was said to me and at the implication that I'm somehow being abusive or irresponsible. I have done tons of research on FIV and talked to multiple professionals before adopting my second cat. Don't go here if your cat has FIV. read more

I am having a very big disappointment with Bond Vet. I've been a customer for three years for my dog but there have been many computer glitches that have not told me when my Dogs next vet appointment which I had scheduled about half of a year before her vaccinations were supposed to be due. The computer system never alerted me that I was supposed to bring my dog in for her shots. I was almost a day late and had a rush in there for two shots for her. Also, she is scheduled. She was supposed to be scheduled for her checkup in June but nobody had alerted me that my appointment was coming up. They just send things on how to take care of your pet during the summer, but no follow up for your next visit. The staff is great. The doctors are great but it's getting more and more mismanaged by the top elites. read more

Two stars for convenient hours but really expensive. They require $100 appointments for each specific question you have. We came in to have our dog checked as she had diarrhea. $200 dollars later she left without any medicine, basically nothing except instructions to keep doing chicken and rice. When we asked if they could look at her paws because they were irritated they said that would need to be done at another appointment. Just to look at her paws! They also tried to sell us on a whole host of lab work amounting to an incremental $500. Crazy town. read more

Updating my review to again rave about Bond Cobble Hill. Took my dog here again for a couple of annual vaccines and a resupply of his heartworm/flea/tick medication. A blood test was required for the new yearly prescription of the medication. After the blood test, it was discovered that he had a tick-borne illness - a tick-borne illness that should have been caught by our previous vet who never performed a blood test before resupplying the tick medication. I appreciate the vets and nurses here because they do their due diligence. I never feel like I'm on an assembly line here. Plus, my dog loves them. read more

Been here several times. Courteous staff and knowledgeable vets but they are way overworked/understaffed. I guess that's the business model. Took a week to hear back from a doctor after he examined our dog. Also takes a long time to connect with someone who can give test results. My most experience was disheartening and has really soured me on the place. My 15.5 yr old lab can hardly walk, especially on the slippery floors at Bond, and we suspect she has UTI. I was told I could drop off a "free catch" urine sample but after dropping off the sample and paying for the test they insisted on only testing a sterile sample which would require an office visit and a sono guided needle into the bladder. I understand the benefits of the sterile test but under the circumstances I had hoped they would take the compassionate approach. Our dog is basically immobilized; we're trying to keep her as comfortable as possible and hate to think she's suffering from a UTI. read more

We have been bringing our 4 month old puppy here since we got him at 9 weeks. Everyone is so nice and knowledgeable and really answers all of our new puppy parent questions with depth. I cannot emphasize how relieved I am to have found this pet clinic. Dr. Zay was super friendly with both myself and my old curmudgeonly cat. She took the time to examine past records from VERG and to be really delicate with my cat due to her age. She explained every step of the way what she was doing and what exactly they were looking for based on my cat's history and her current symptoms. When costing the services out they told me what they'd like to do in a perfect world where finances were not an issue and they also gave me some options if I couldn't afford to do it all at once which I really appreciated. The doctor and techs answered every question and were extremely patient with me through the whole thing. As a side - They were personable with my cat and took the time to interact with her and get to know her personality a bit as well. They also really paid attention to comments I made about her normal behavior (I.e. she's always hated when you touch her stomach, etc etc) taking details like that into consideration in regards to a course of action for treatment. As far as the facilities, they were clean, modern, dare I say... trendy? They were very comfortable not to mention treats everywhere for both pups and cats. They're also open seven days a week until 10PM (which is a game changer) and they stayed late to finish out my pet's procedures and take care to explain every single thing that popped up in her tests. We left at about 10:40. This facility isn't even remotely close to where I live, but was 100% worth the trip for the care my pet received. I will be back and I would recommend them to anyone in the market for a general vet or emergency treatment. read more

Wow. This was an absolutely terrible experience. Our dog is terrified of the vet because he lost his leg and has ever since been traumatized by the whole experience. Because of this, they wanted to do his examination outside on the (NYC) street in the pouring rain which would have made his anxiety 1,000 times worse- although we agreed to let them try it. Long story short, the vet ended up being extremely rude, belittling, and judgemental. It's a shame because the experience we had there previously was great with Dr.Dan Bloomfield, he was willing to work with our dog and was empathetic towards our dog's needs. The female vet we had today, I had never met and didn't catch her name but I wish I had (she should not be working with animals if she's not willing to try and help them). For a family with a special needs dog who already has high levels of anxiety, visits to the vet are tough as it is, and having experienced such poor customer service was a huge disappointment. There are so many other great vets in the city that don't treat you like garbage for having a dog with extreme vet anxiety. read more

Our Vet recently moved away from Brooklyn. Basically devastating for our family of three dogs and two cats. When BOND VET opened on court street not far from our house- we were very curious. After hearing from two other neighbors that they had very positive experiences there we decided to go for it. So far I've had to take one of our dogs in for a couple of nail trims and once for an annual exam and once because she was having a seizure. Each time we visited bond that we were treated with excellent care. We find it critical to have a vet that explains things thoroughly to us and also explain their options thoroughly as well as pricing and they did all this. They also do this awesome thing where they type up a summary of the visit with important details and email it to you so you have it to go over again. I really love it they do that. So far so good we will continue to use Bond question. I also thoroughly enjoyed being able to make my appointment online easily and also to be able to change it easily! read more
