This isnt a review about the company, but more so an individual employed by this company. Had an…read moreencounter earlier this morning going north on 465, I was running late for work and this individual (in a company vehicle) thought it was a good idea to continuously flash his lights at me, catch up to me, tail me, and then start yelling out his window at me. We all have places to be, especially early in the morning. Absolutely nobody needs someone else on the road to start antagonizing them while they're running late. But that is what this guy did. Super unprofessional and not a goodlook for the company. My advice to this individual, is mind your damn business! And if you did that then this review would have never been made, and a call to your company also would not have happened, but here we are. Respect to the guys that keep their mouths shut and work, not so much to the ones who always got a problem or something to say. Edit: I talked to the director of Human Resources, and she was nothing but respectful and helpful. I hope the rest of the company follows her lead, because after looking at some of the other reviews, it seems like the rest of the company has a problem with basic professionalism and ripping old ladies off. Company should be gutted and handed over to someone who cares and takes pride in their work.

They are certainly at the high end of the cost spectrum, which would be fine if they provided the…read morecustomer service equal to that higher cost, but they use a automated system that will bombard you reminders and calls which is irritating. They are very friendly and the technicians are very professional however. We used them to do electrical wiring for our basement, it was two new breakers to install three light switches and a dozen led light boxes, just under 7k. They were supposed to do plumbing of a bathroom sewage pump, valve for a softener to drain, and shower install with a rough out for a sink, 9k. They miss-scheduled the appointment for plumbing and instead of just saying oops let's fix that they spent their time telling me I scheduled Monday and Tuesday and it's a two day appointment so that's why I am receiving multiple reminders for my appointment on Monday and Tuesday to start, despite my repeating it is Tuesday and Wednesday because I would not be home on Monday as I told the tech who did the estimate. The electrical part they would not take payment for until they finished the job despite my request to pay as they go. Since it requires the plumbing team to finish first they said they would come back when their plumbers finished, still daily texts and calls to schedule the final electrical which according to their tech couldn't be done until the plumbing THEY were scheduled to do. Their AI based system is terrible. Their work is quality and their human customer service team is frustrating but friendly. We canceled the plumbing and now will cancel the finish work for electric as well. Too expensive to justify these annoyances in my opinion. We were convinced to buy their service plan for our ac and electric, not sure what that really gives us but we won't be using it now anyway. I'd caution anyone from using them without a few estimates first.

All they can say is "I'm sorry and I understand " while they sit at their desk. Absolutely worthless ! They don't care and they don't try . Their techs are good but the quality of their work is nullified by the lazy appointment department. My advice is run like hell from them ! They are not worth the aggravation.

Early the next morning, I had a message from Adam B. Once I got to work, I returned the call and quickly described my issue and what I believed it to be. The first available appointment wasn't until Monday (it wasn't urgent, so I wasn't worried about going the weekend). I got my timeframe. I had a couple other appointments that day, so I ended up taking the day off so I could easily be available. I immediately liked that they told me who would be arriving - AND that was who arrived. I also liked that they use a customer portal that allows you to have some security if you pay online or to review your records. Christian arrived (there was one other person with him). It took him a couple minutes to diagnose the issue he believed it to be, and it took him not a lot longer to determine that diagnosis correct. He quoted the price, I agreed, and he got to work. After finishing the work, he determined the original issue I'd believed it to be wasn't quite needing to be addressed (but will be in the near future). We discussed options, including ways I could save a bit. Christian was personable and explained things in a way I could understand. The issue was likely caused by me, but he managed to avoid using the word "idiot" at any point. The repair was done in a timely manner. The price ended up being a bit lower than quoted. I appreciated his honesty as he very easily could have pointed me toward a repair not needing done yet. It also became obvious the last person I'd used had really only done half the job. Everything has worked beautifully since Christian finished. There are likely a couple more projects I'll tackle in the near future, and I won't hesitate to return to Grateful Plumber. The housecall was $59, but that was credited toward the repair once I decided to have them do the work. Friendly employees. Good follow-through. Fair pricing. Quality work. Problem solved. That's 5-star for me and another winner for Yelp's project feature.

He also explained why you'd install a shut off valve in front of the pressure tank (troubleshooting pressure). In any event, I'm changing my 2 star to a 5 based on that conversation. It was a good install, just overpriced, which we can work out later for a repipe project I need done. Thanks Joshua. The definition of greedy service folks taking advantage of a situation. I was losing pressure in the house and I'm on a well. The technician replaced the pressure pump (which needed to be replaced) and added a whole house filter at my request. The job went decent and the technician did a pretty good job on the installation. However, the price I paid for the equipment installation was extremely overpriced before I realized. Also, the problem with the pressure wasn't resolved. After the technician came back the next day to troubleshoot, he believed there was a leak somewhere losing pressure, which was a reasonable assumption given the symptoms (and I had another plumber come out and verify, but he actually found the real issue). The technician checked everywhere and couldn't find a leak and tried to schedule a sonar person to locate it. This didn't sit well with me so I called a well expert (Dutton should quit advertising well service). The other plumber that came out instantly noticed 2 things wrong with the pressure tank installation, the tank was over charged with pressure at 50 psi and needed to be set to 38 psi to work correctly (this exaggerated my problem) and he installed a shut off valve on the incoming water line from the well to the pressure tank, and if someone were to ever use it, the would blow up the well pump. The real problem is that the well pump is dying and while it has some pressure, it's not enough to fill the pressure tank fast enough to maintain running water at a faucet. This guy told me what the problem was FOR FREE. Dutton came back out to troubleshoot their work and tried to charge me another 400 (which they will never get from me) and they were going to charge me more to fix the non existent leak AFTER I paid the sonar people another 400. So, I now have someone coming out to replace the well pump. The guy that came out and told me the issue for free, is going to get 3000 to replace the iron filter and water softener after they are done. Dutton quoted me FOUR THOUSAND DOLLARS to replace just the iron filter. There are other companies who aren't just in it for the money. Call them.
