I intentionally only gave Alex and the Fellowship team descriptions of the problem, but none of the theories from the other company. Alex was able to locate the issue and show me exactly what it was in under 10 minutes. While they didn't have the needed part in stock, they were able to get a temporary fix in place so we were not without A/C during the peak of summer and returned to fix our unit as soon as they received the part from the distributor 3 business days later. At no point in the process did they try to upsell me, and they were very transparent about the cost of parts for the repair, and the potential complications that could lead to more or less labor cost on the final bill. Alex himself was very friendly, professional, and trustworthy. I would 100% recommend this company to anyone looking for HVAC assistance. They strike the unicorn balance of value, expertise, and service quality.

Found everything in…read moreworking order, and let me know that two parts were close or at their end-of-life: capacitors out of spec. No hard sells or unexpected up charges. I wanted to do the capacitor replacements myself, and they let me know what I needed to do to accomplish those tasks. I'd say 90% of my HVAC tune-ups do not give me the actual spec vs out-of-spec notes for wear & tear items like capacitors. Bryan H&C is the ONLY one to spend the 2 mins letting me know some pointers, since I wanted to DIY the repair. If you hire them, know that It's a small shop. Be flexible on time and scheduling.

He also told me that these thermostats function without the batteries even though my experience tells me that they need batteries to work. Lastly, he advised that my built in humidifier was wired wrong and he should add extra parts such as wiring and transformers to correct it. That humidifier has been working great for me for at least 10 years. I'm giving them 3 stars because they came out quickly and did give me a good furnace cleaning. Again, I just don't know.

Called the team for a second opinion after a scary report from another company that seemed over the…read moretop. Had no problem getting an appointment the next day and the technician (Corbin) was on time and very polite. He did a very detailed inspection of the furnace and even got in my crawlspace to check all the exhaust lines. After about an hour of inspections he said my furnace was old but safe and helped talk me through signs to watch for. They sent me a easy to understand breakdown of what he found and price options for replacement so I can budget for a new unit. All of this and the service call was free, since they were doing a second opinion. I know 100% who will be replacing the furnace for me, Irish Air.

He told me he can have someone out the same day (afternoon). I received a text that Mark was on his way and he showed up as scheduled and advised. I explained the problem and he started working on the outdoor unit. He never went to the basement where my Unit is located, only outside. I asked him if he would advise the cost of the repair before doing the work and he said yes and reminded me of the $85 Diagnostics Visit and I said ok. 15-20 Minutes later Mark said he replaced the Capacitor and the total was $300. The AC was working and I was satisfied, but a little disappointed he did not advise the cost before repairing. But the $300 to me was very fair and I was still happy it was repaired. Three days later my AC was not working again so I called and spoke to Mark. He seemed busy and uninterested in my issue (but that may be my misunderstanding his tone). He told me he could not come that day, but possibly the next morning but more than likely the afternoon. He said he would contact me in the next few hours to let me know what time he could have someone to me the next day. Over four hours later I had to reach out to him to find out when he would be there the next day, but he said it would be tomorrow afternoon (I needed morning). So I said disregard, I will find another company. I purchased a whole new Furnace and AC System from another company. I would have used Vital Heating & Air for the replacement if Matt would have contacted me like he said he would. And, I found out that Mark installed the capacitor without tightening it correctly and it fell inside the unit and burnt the electrical and kicked the breaker, which caused the unit to stop working.
