    10 piece Wings
    Joshelyn ..

Bonchon!!!! I was THRILLED when I saw this place open since I've only experienced them whenever I visited DC! And per the usual, I wasn't disappointed! I ordered the 10 wings with an order of Veggie Fried Rice. I was able to split the flavors of wings: Yangnyeom and regular. Yangnyeom is similar to a Thai Chili flavor in case anyone was wondering and it's delicious! Now back the food! My food was hot, flavorful and I had enough for seconds even after sharing. My chicken was juicy and crunchy how I like it, and the right amount of sauce not overpowering the chicken. The restaurant is clean with separate menus to order aside from ordering at the counter which helps in crowded situations. I avoided the lunch hour rush around 2pm since I was shopping at the grocery store adjacent to the restaurant. The service was great! The young lady at the counter was amazing and we had a nice conversation while I waited for my food which wasn't long, about ten minutes. The price isn't like typical fast food or takeout but it's worth it! I'll be back more than I want to admit and I'm glad to hear and see they'll be popping up around the city.

I've wanted to try Bonchon for such a long time, I'm glad that they're finally here. After contemplating about what we'd have for takeout one night, my partner suggested that we finally try Bonchon after talking about it weeks prior. Korean fried chicken? You don't need to ask me twice. We ordered online and went with the K-Meal for 2-4 as it included 12 wings + 6 boneless and 2 sides. For our flavors we opted for spicy and Korean BBQ and cheese corn + fried rice for our sides, adding in an order of coleslaw after I heard it was good. Pickup was pretty seamless and the food was hot when we got it. They tossed in an extra side of corn, thanks for that! The corn was delicious, it may have been the only item that wasn't piping hot in our bag which resulted in me microwaving them to melt the cheese, but they were so good. The coleslaw left much to be desired lol. The fried rice was perfect! Let me warn you - the spicy flavor is SPICY. I was shocked at how alarmed I was. I mean, I love spice. I will throw jalapenos on anything and love a kick as long as it doesn't interfere with flavor. But baby, that spice was kicking my butt! It was definitely delicious though, I will not hide that. The Korean BBQ was tasty as well, I was just bummed that the chicken was really soggy. Was that because of the sauce + breading not being a match or what - we will definitely be going with the original fried chicken going forward because I missed that crunch. I'll also grab some kimchi and radishes next time, I can't believe I didn't try them on my first visit but they're at the top of my list.

Aye yall, I Know I normally am super positive and tell yall to pull up. Dont bring yall behinds over here! Drive to Alpharetta and get Kimchi Red. I visited Bonchon friday after a long work week. After arriving at the airport starved, I stopped here on my way home. We tried the chicken katsu (not uh/5, burned and flavorless) the spicy wings and the korean bbq wings (sauces were good but the quality of wings was poor as well as the breading). We had three bottled drinks(apple juice, water, sparkling water) as they have no freestyle. They all were $4+ and im pretty sure they came from the sprouts next door. Inside the restaurant was cleaned but looked like it should be closed! Shame on the business owners who are operating this dungeon of a dinning room. The best part was the service. The young lady on the front register checked on us throughout our meal and did what she could.shout out to her. Yall go somewhere else man!

I was excited when I found out Smyrna was getting a Bonchon. I first tried Bonchon in D.C., and I only knew of one other location, which was in Fayetteville. It's great to see more locations popping up in Georgia. Finally, Bonchon opened in Smyrna, and I went on last Monday. I ordered a 6-piece wing--half soy garlic, half yangyeom. The cashier was super friendly and helpful. Since the wings are made fresh, it took a little while to get my food. I ordered takeout, but there's plenty of seating inside and some outside too. The price was a bit steep for just six wings and no real side, though. All chicken entrees come with a small complimentary pickle radish or coleslaw, but I didn't want either. When I finally ate, I enjoyed it, but I still felt a little hungry. So next time, I'll go for the next size up. Overall, it's a great addition to the area, and I'm looking forward to going back.

    Korean Tacos

While on my quest for food, though I was originally looking for tacos, Bonchon caught my eye. I've really been on a kick for Korean food lately, both authentic and fusion food. I am particularly a fan of bulgogi and noticed they had bulgogi tacos so I decided to give it a try! The best of both worlds right? The tacos were a bit underwhelming. It wasn't much flavor, which was surprising since some of the ingredients included bulgogi beef, spicy mayo and ranch. I thought it would be packed with flavor, but it just wasn't. There was not very much meat on the tacos though you pay extra for bulgogi. I felt like the lettuce and mayo (which wasn't spicy at all) overpowered everything. They do have other things. If I were to come Back again, I'd probably get the Korean Fried chicken. Service was fine, no issues. You can place your order at the counter or kiosk. I chose the kiosk and ordered to-go. It was easy and my food came out fairly quick. If you're someone who likes to customize or change things (like preferring your sauce on the side rather than on your food), order at the counter because there's not really a way to enter that using the kiosk. Also, I love that they give reusable storage containers to-go orders! I am not sure if I'd go again, but it wasn't horrible. Check them out, but maybe just choose a different dish.

Service was fast when ordering to go. Food tastes good, but not as good as the Alpharetta location. This is their grand opening, so maybe that's the reason. This isn't the second time where a company is amazing in Duluth, but is mid when you serve it in Atlanta. Usually when I go to BonChon in Alpharetta, these drumsticks fill the box more and are larger. These drums look lonely in this box. The crispiness and flavor was there, but the chicken itself seemed a bit dry and not as juicy. The street corn I got seemed like a single scoop in a two scoop Togo container 4oz food service container. This fit in the Coleslaw appetizer that was roughly 2oz, so I might have your team look at what this container is supposed to filled to. Seems like you're trying to cut corners here and considering this is $4.99 in this day and age, shame. When I get this at other locations, it's usually filled to the top of a paper branded cup leaving half an inch from the top. Fried Rice with Spicey Chicken was good. Definitely spicy and I had to eat it with patience. Overall, the location is on the corner of the east west connector in Smyrna, across the street of Publix. It's easy to get in and out of that parking lot and there is plenty of parking. The location sports an outdoor seating which was not setup today, I gather because it's kind of cold and they didn't have any outdoor heaters. Inside, the place is freshly setup and clean. Well lit and the people seem friendly. I'll keep an eye on this location. Hopefully it will improve in time. Probably need to come back once they are in business for some time. Good luck!

House Fried Rice with pork belly

A friend of mine told me about this restaurant. I was excited to go. We ordered 6 wings and 2 drumsticks for 17 dollars. That's my first issue. My husband ordered a dish with glass noodles and beef. I ordered fried rice with pork belly. For these prices... the servings should be more. The chicken is crunchy but both the crispy and soy/ garlic were too salty. We waited 27 minutes for our food to come out. I probably would not come back.

Had the BEST meal today at Bonchon! I've never tried Korean fried chicken and it did not disappoint. I decided to be a fatty (cause who starts a New Years diet on a weekend?!?) I got the Bao Buns, Potstickers, Korean Street corn, and the Japchae.... Those glass noodles are TO DIE

Yeah! Bonchon in Smyrna is finally open! Me and the picky 'lil girl shared a small mixed chicken combo (2 legs and 4 wings) half soy garlic and have crunch with one side and a drink. Perfect snack! Staff super helpful and patient. Menu is extensive with traditional Korean options as well...next time! Casual ordering and then find a seat.

    Menu

Sunday Lunch, came here for Korean fried chicken and it did not disappoint. 1. Ambiance was very modern and clean, restroom was clean with nice accommodations needs. 2. Service was outstanding from when we entered, questions were answered with a great smile, she even brought us out our meal to our table since we were dining in. 3. Ordered 6pc Soy garlic mixed with Spicy for that tangy spicy taste which was upon request and they delivered!! 12.99 with coleslaw, perhaps I tasted a bit of wine/vinegar in it, not the best and hope they will adjust the taste of it. Making it a combo with fries and a drink for an extra 4.99? I suppose. I mean with 6pc wings, slaw, fries and a drink for nearly $18 plus tip may be a bit overwhelming for us middle class but considering it's Smyrna/the area everything is expensive nowadays. 4. Would I return? Yes.

There's some parking out front but you may need to park nearby and walk to the restaurant during busy times as the parking is somewhat limited (you might be able to park along the street). It's right across the street from the original DAS BBQ. I met some visiting family members who planned to attend the season kick-off for the Falcons at Mercedes-Benz stadium and this was a good "in between" location (they traveled from Chattanooga for the day). When I asked them for preferences they said "Korean!" and Krave certainly met the need (some of my fellow Elites who left reviews further enforced my choice). The exterior isn't much to look at, don't let it fool you into thinking the food offerings are sub-par - as with other somewhat hole-in-the-wall establishments, it's what's inside that counts. It's fast-casual with menu offerings shown on overhead monitors, and you order from a mobile pad mounted on the counter. After looking things over we ordered a few items: * Mandu (we chose beef but pork, and shrimp & pork were also options). These were fried and quite good. * Steak Bulgogi Platter - came with beef bulgogi, steamed rice, a small salad and a few banchan - it was a lot of food for $15.99 The side salad was your typical chopped lettuce covered in thousand island dressing (for some reason Koreans prefer this to other dressings). The panchan was green beans and some spicy hot cucumbers. The meat is served on a bed of rice so if you like things separate you might need to request it thus. We pretty much all got the same thing. * Kimchi (side) - you get a container holding a cut of kimchi - this was fairly fresh so the fermentation was there but not too sour. I liked it. I thought all the food delicious with very authentic flavors. Service was limited to interactions at the windows but they people seemed nice and answered questions. You have to ask for a receipt if you want one as the printers weren't working for us. The only downside was the water coming from the drink machine - typical Atlanta tap water, seemed to be unfiltered and just awful. This is really a 4.5/5 review but I've decided to round up - they need to improve the water situation (osmosis filtering or something) otherwise a great experience. Note that I originally started this review in mid-October and realized I hadn't finished it so take that into account.

5/5 Yakitori Janbeli…read moreI was in town for a business trip and decided to give Yakitori Janbeli a try after seeing all the glowing online reviews and the Food Network hype. I stopped by on a Tuesday evening around 8 PM, placed a call-in order, and it was ready in about 20 minutes--super convenient! I went with the fried rice and the Korean-style fried chicken. The place has a nice moderate-sized space with pleasant outdoor seating, and the staff was really friendly when I picked up my order. Once I got back and dug in, it was clear they use super fresh ingredients, and everything tasted like it was made to order. The fried rice had nice, layered flavors, and the chicken had a clean, crisp bite with a tasty sauce drizzled on top. Honestly, I couldn't quite see what all the major hype was about, but it was still a solid, good-quality meal with great presentation. That said, given the other more affordable options in the area with better portions, I probably wouldn't go back on my next visit. Would recommend if you're looking for fresh, quality ingredients in a convenient spot!

I shared the Karaage and Korean fried chicken with my friends and didn't find either to be something I would reorder, however I will say that my friends all spoke highly of the Korean fried chicken. For my main, I had the Wagyu Maki and it didn't live up to the expectations or price at all. We finished off with the mochi which was very tasty. I'll caveat this all with adding my friends who had the ramen and fried rice enjoyed their meals a lot more than mine. This could be a result of just ordering better items or just having a one-off bad experience myself. Overall, I think if you're avoiding seafood then Yakitori Jinbei might not be the best place to try in my personal experience.

This restaurant is really the best kept secret in Atlanta!…read more My family visited here this week for the first time since around 2014 and, despite our fears that it wouldn't live up to the great experience we had then, they EXCEEDED our expectations. We ordered so much and everything was delicious - nothing below an 8/10 in my opinion. We ordered the seafood spring rolls (8/10), crab benigets (8/10 with a special note of originality), and the shrimp appetizer (10/10). Spring rolls- very crispy and flaky, had the "sea floor" variety of seafood inside, flavorful 3 sauces to go with it Crab beignets- a slightly cheesy and airy beignet with a genius crab dip blend. The whole table was surprised on how good it was. Shrimp appetizer- the best "bang bang" shrimp I've had. Shrimps are very large and has a nice fruit salsa to go with. Everyone at the table loved their entrees but I can only truly speak for the ones I tried. Seafood Curry- I will NEVER eat curry anywhere else! I LOVEEEEE THIS CURRY! All the seafood is so fresh, the curry is so flavorful that I literally slurped the rest off my plate. There was also such a variety of veggies in there that were also very fresh and firm (not soggy). For the price especially, you get sooooo much and with such a thoughtful recipe. According to our waitress, it's the only recipe that hasn't changed since the restaurant opened in 2012! Fried chicken - I didn't try the chicken itself, but I did try the Mac and cheese and greens that came with it. Let me tell you, I am very picky about Mac and cheese and this rivals the best Mac and cheese I've had in Atlanta (toast on Lenox)! The greens were also fantastic and flavorful, but a little on the sweet side if that's what your preference is. For dessert, all 4 of us shared one slice of the suspension cake and couldn't even finish it! It was ginormous (literally the size of your head). I won't even go into details- just order it! The ambiance is so intimate and unique- not feeling like an "uptight" boujie restaurant, but curated and thoughtful. They have very nice seating outdoor that is enclosed as well as a beautiful bar area. Lastly, the service is fantastic. I genuinely can't recall my waitresses name, but they speak so highly of the head chef (Calvin) and most have worked there 8+ years, so it really feels like home. I initially planned for the bao buns only, but the prices were quite reasonable thanks to the $16 lunch special - so I thought I'd try a bit more. So glad that I did. Mushi Ni has an electronic ordering system which was really easy to navigate. I chose my lunch special and added in my dumplings, and poof - the order was on the way to the kitchen. I walked around the food hall for a few so I don't really know how quickly my order was completed, but when I returned, the guy behind the counter saw me and started bagging it up. I found a seat outside for some natural lighting and started snapping away. I really went to enjoy and share the bao buns but figured I'd have a quick bite of the dumplings and keep it pushing. Listen. WOW. I was immediately taken aback because, what?! They were spicy, so savory and full of pork, with a little punch of lime in there somewhere. I didn't even need to have a second bite before I decided that I *had* to order a second round. Wow. The fries were also phenomenal! Super crunchy, the seasonings on top were such a nice touch. And the trend continued with the fluffy, flavorful bao buns. Seriously just an all-around amazing experience. I thought I'd enjoy their food but this experience exceeded my expectations. The Cucumber Salad was one of the most interesting drinks I have had because it genuinely tasted like a cucumber salad. It was fresh, crisp, and unlike anything else I have tried. The Mango Sticky Rice, though, was the clear standout for me. It was sweet, balanced, and easily one of the best cocktails of the afternoon. For food, we ordered the 777 Platter, which came with Crispy Rice Tuna, Salt and Pepper Shrimp, and Isan Fried Chicken. Everything on the platter was good, but the Salt and Pepper Shrimp was the dish that really stood out. It was perfectly seasoned, crispy, and full of flavor. The Isan Fried Chicken was also a must-order. It had great texture and was one of those dishes that makes you want to keep going back for another bite. To finish, we had the Yuzu Donuts served with Matcha Ice Cream and the Black Jack Lava Cake, along with one final cocktail, the Good Time Girl. Both desserts were the perfect ending to the meal. They felt like the right balance of sweet and satisfying without being too heavy. What stood out most to me about Black Jack Bar Tapas was that every part of the experience delivered. The food was excellent, the cocktails were creative, the service was warm and attentive, and the atmosphere made the whole meal feel special. It is the kind of place where you want to stay a little longer just because the energy is so good. Out of every restaurant I have visited for Reservations in the City, Black Jack Bar Tapas has easily become one of my favorites. Whether you are planning a date night, catching up with friends, or just looking for a place to treat yourself, this is a reservation worth making.

Walking inside felt like stepping into a Magic 8 Ball, once you're in, you've got options everywhere. It's essentially a mini indoor market with multiple food spots, plenty of seating scattered throughout, and even some solid outdoor seating if the weather cooperates. I came in with one mission: Thai food. No distractions. I made a beeline straight to 26 Thai Kitchen and placed my order solo at one of their convenient digital kiosks, quick, simple, and no waiting in line. For lunch, I went with the Pad Thai Shrimp, loaded up with onions, broccoli, peanuts, and sprouts, and cranked the heat up to Thai hot. No regrets. The food came out fast, five minutes maybe less, and it was piping hot, steam rolling off every bite. The dish delivered, good flavor, solid heat, and exactly what I was hoping for. Now, one thing worth mentioning, it's a bit on the pricey side for what you're getting, especially in a setup like this. And I'll be honest, being prompted for a tip felt a little out of place. When you're ordering from a digital kiosk and picking up your own food, it's hard to see where that extra charge fits in. For me, tipping makes sense when there's actual table service involved. Overall, the venue itself is a pretty cool concept with a lot of variety under one roof, but if you're locked in on Thai like I was, 26 Thai Kitchen is still worth a stop for a dish or two, just go in knowing what to expect.

Please do yourself a favor and get the sampler appetizer, you will not regret. I literally closed my eyes once I took a bite out of the dumplings. For my entree, I had the chicken and shrimp fried rice and it was absolutely amazing. Also, the drinks are great as well. Just go and thank me later!
