So I happened to come randomly and met a friend at the bar. Now it was my first time coming to this one but this was a little more than just a regular $3 cafe you may come across. It's free parking and you can park in the front or the back. I actually parked in the back where the little cigar lounge area was and it was plenty of spaces. You go up the steps and you head on in and there's a full bar, as well as a seating area, as well as lounge couches for smoking cigars. It's really basically three different elements in one. It was a little bit busy so the bar staff definitely was sluggish and slow. That really wasn't appealing but if there's a crowd you have to take what you can get. It wasn't too crowded to where you couldn't come and address patrons. The vibe was really good in the establishment. They had a lot of good music and had a live DJ and I was there on a weeknight so that was really good. Now you will walk out smelling like smoke. Just want to make sure you know that it is heavily cigar ridden so you will come out smelling like you've been smoking a cigar. Just keep that in mind. I only sat at the bar and really I only drank wine that day but I did try the cheese sticks and they were pretty good. The noise level was as you'd expect on a busy evening weekend, but not too loud and didn't prevent conversation. I've been coming here for years, but the service has gotten awful. The staff are rude, disrespectful, and take forever to bring drinks or check on customers. The manager mostly hires young people -- mostly family or friends -- and it really shows. This place used to stay packed, but not anymore, and the bad customer service is exactly why. The most notable thing about my visit was the speed of the service (and how fast I ate) because I was in and out in no more than twenty minutes. I got the buffalo chicken wrap. It did not disappoint. Pleasantly surprised having had low expectations of a delivery on a night I craved wings but was too lazy to defrost and fry. A bit out of the way but generally very good bar food in a small shopping center across Windy Hill Rd for the Hyatt Regency. Near the end of our Thanksgiving trip to Marietta to celebrate Thanksgiving and Christmas with the Sons and their families . We were tired and getting up very early the next day for our trip back to Cornelius so we wanted something close to our hotel with was the Hyatt. Looking on several review sites including yelp it came down to Mellow Mushroom next door and Three Dollar Café across the street. Been to Mellow Mushroom before so wanted something new to try, decided on Three Dollar Care. Drove down the hill and parked close to the entrance and walked it. It's a small place or at least the main lower part it. In the rear is a Sports Bar and upstairs is a Cigar Bar although we did not take advantage of either of those offerings. We were seated near the center of the dining room fairly promptly and given out menus. Typical Bar Food but both my wife and I tend to like bar food. My wife asked about soups and they only had one and it was Mexican themed and she had already eaten something the day before that did not agree with her so she opted out of the soup course. I ordered the Prime Rib French Dip with Fries while she order the Fried Mozzarella Cheese Sticks with Marinara Dipping Sauce. The Prime Rib French Dip was outstanding and the dip was hale and hearty and full of flavor. The French Fries were a bit undercooked and as such, underwhelming. My wife enjoyed her Mozzarella Sticks and found the dipping sauce to be very good. In good the meal was very good and reasonably priced. Room was a bit cluttered and the atmosphere very noisy. The table when we sat down had not been adequately cleaned and was very sticky. This is the reason it did not score higher in my review even though I enjoyed the meal. Quick, easy and very reasonable and if you're in town for a baseball gave at Sun Trust Stadium (not sure what it's going to be called after the merger with BB&T) but a good place to grab a bite before a Braves game. read more

There's nothing wrong with particular races being the prevalent demographic in any given establishment. However when you go into that establishment and you're not of the prevailing demographic and you get ignored and treated like crap, that's not cool. Not in this day and age. Don't go to the bar at $3 Cafe on Windy Hill if you're a white guy. This was the fourth time I've been in there, and a particular bartender has just looked me dead in the eye and either walked off, or went to help somebody else. In the area for a business trip and was craving some wings. Found this place, close to my hotel and what a find! This place is two places in one! Up front is a sports oriented take out type of place, and go out the back door and it becomes a huge fancy cigar lounge! The wings were huge, crispy, and spicy; just like they should be. I stopped by here for lunch while running Saturday errands. The place was clean and the staff was friendly. There was no waiting at all, which I appreciated. I ordered the fish tacos and the fried jalapenos. The fish was very hot and fresh. It has a very flavorful chipotle sauce on it which really added to the flavor of the taco. The order came with three hearty tacos. They were very filling. The fried Jalapenos were also delicious as it came with a ranch dipping sauce. We visited Three Dollar Cafe in Marietta the weekend before Valentine's Day. We went with another couple. Now I personally hadn't had Three Dollar in years because we don't stay near any of the locations, but this visit was great! Both wings and service were on point. The restaurant wasn't crowded, but it wasn't empty either. They have two floors if you aren't aware, and the bottom floor is basically a cigar lounge where you can also order and eat. The top floor is the restaurant area where you can sit and eat with family and/or kids. I believe they are still voted #1 restaurant for wings and they definitely deserve that honor! I am one that typically never finishes my food and I finished it that day and surprised everyone at my table lol. If you are ever in the area near one, don't hesitate to try them out!! read more

It was a bit slow initially walking in but then you learn it is nice because there are several options for seating based on what atmosphere you are going for, we sat in the regular dining room and it was nice and calm with plenty of tvs and a really calm and kind waitress.
