We accidentally found this off the path wings spot. "Wings 101" like the name says, knows wings. They have parking outside, so getting in is easy. The outside looks modern and new. The I side is the same. It's modern with festive colors throughout. At the counter they have a beautiful digital display with all there items on it. The three girls working in the back are incredible. They are friendly and helpful. They walked us through the order. They recommended the Georgia peach drink and I couldn't say no. Once you order, you sit and wait. When your order is ready they ring a bell and call your number. It's really different and more personal. So are the wings good? Yes! Probably the best I've had in Atlanta. They were crunchy and plump. It was worth the trip. Sweet chilly was my favorite. Also, I loved the peach drink. Personally i like wet hot lemon pepper, hot teriyaki, and garlic parmesan wings. The fries are also good, especially the sweet potato fries. Fried rice is also on point. The first time I came here my chicken was fried too hard, the second time it was under cooked. If I could rate this place with HALF A STAR I would. I asked for Beef fried rice and this is what I got. When I asked to speak to the manager the cashier Ashley paused and hesitated. Then when I got the manager I asked for her name so that I knew who I was addressing and she refused to introduce herself. The staff is not only unprofessional but they're not concerned with your issue. As I explained what I got she interrupted, cut me off and said that not all Wings101 are the same and to not bring my expectations to them. Wings 101 just didn't do it for me. It actually felt like I wasted money, since I didn't even finish the food. I paid $9.11 with taxes for a 10 piece wing combo that came with fries and a medium fountain drink. On a positive note, they will allow you choose 2 different flavor wings on a 10 piece combo, so I chose lemon pepper and medium, well the lemon pepper were great while the medium were horrible, the mediums were tossed in this thick red wing sauce. The fries didn't seem to be well cooked, I was actually a little disappoint as I stopped eating and tossed half of my food out. Service was good, the young lady was polite and when she didn't have any customers, she cleaned up a bit. The restaurant was somewhat clean when I came in, I noticed a funny odor as I waited on my wings and realized that a plumbing company was outside digging half of the parking lot up......maybe having an issue with sewage or something. I will say this, there are to many wings restaurant in this area for slackers, I truly hope this place survives, but they definitely need a new recipe for their hot wings. Really good hot wings here! Plus they have a large variety on the menu (philly steaks, burgers, fried rice, lo mein,etc.). The food is always hot and fresh. I usually order my wings crispy which never come out very crispy so IDK what the wings are like cooked the regular way. They apparently have free candy on the counter (a friend told me), plus they're open on Sundays. Which most places on Windy Hill aren't. The customer service was very good, but when I got home and was getting ready eat, I noticed that the wings were pretty dried out like they had already been fried earlier and just dropped back in the fryer.
