I spent 30 bucks for pure garbage.I hadn't had BonChon in a few years and was looking forward to the good food I remembered...Not this time...The wings were dry with very little (and I do mean little) sauce on them.One of the wings were so burnt it was inedible. This place is awesome. They have a lunch special where you can get two wings and two drumsticks with a side for $8.50. If you can't decide if you want spicy or sweet you can get half and half. They have easy parking in the lot outside and the restaurant has plenty of tables and chairs. We were seated quickly and the service is good. The food takes sometime to come, maybe 20 or so minutes but when it comes out it is sizzling hot and fresh. They also have a wide variety of drinks and they serve alcohol. I think they even have like sweet tea. I think what drives the success of their food is the simplicity in their menu. If you're not feeling the idea of fried chicken they have other Korean food options like bibimbap too. It was my sisters first time coming and she said she will definitely be back. The BonChon in Canton closed, and the one in Columbia is out of the way. Luckily, this one serves as a fine replacement. I got a ten piece and a side of rice. I love getting the ten piece because I always have a second meal and it isn't very expensive. This location is small, but cozy, compared to others I have been to. Service was as fast as expected and the food was just as delicious as I remember it. Nothing to complain about. All in all, a decent BonChon experience. I will never understand why I can't get popcorn shrimp tossed in their signature spicy sauce. Is there a real reason or do they just commiserate in my pain? My husband loves the chicken at BonChon. A fairly new Bonchon (about a year?) located right by Arundel Mills. My friends and I came here this past Tuesday night around 8pm (one hour before closing)--the restaurant was pretty empty, maybe 2-3 guests total. Our server was really sweet--she was very friendly and attentive, checking up on us throughout the night. We were a pretty loud bunch (thanks for putting up with us!) which didn't seem to bother her at all. There is NO alcohol!!! I'm not sure why this listing and some reviews say that there is a full bar, because there definitely was not. Non-alcoholic drinks only. The server said they didn't have their liquor license yet. Boo. This is a pretty important factor when choosing a place to eat for many people! Food-wise was great--Bonchon has always had yummy wings. We got half soy, half spicy. I prefer the spicy more, but man, it is really spicy, so be prepared! Pork buns were okay too. No complaints on the food. We had a large order of wings (200 to be exact) for an upcoming party. We called the store and spoke with Bri and asked her what needed to be done to make sure that we could not just place but receive them at the time we needed. Bri made some suggestions and while talking to her we went ahead and placed our order, gave the time we wanted to pick them up at and paid for them. The day of the party we called a couple of hours before and confirmed which Bri assured us that they would be ready. We arrived at the store a little early however Bri let us know that they had not started cooking them yet as it was prior to the pick up time. So we took a seat in the bar area and just waited. As promised at the pick up time, we had 200 wings in two large containers waiting to go home with us. One of the employees even helped me get them to my car. All of our guest LOVED the wings (the question asked was who cooked the wings?!) and we were pleased by the flavor. Overall had a great experience and will be coming here again! read more

After what seemed like an eternity and the removal of the coming soon sign, BonChon actually had a soft opening today. We had a sleeping baby and decided to-go would be easiest. We asked if we could order for take out but they said no, we'd have to sit down, and they'd then bring a box to our table so we could box it up then go. Where does that make any sense? We were very confused as to why we couldn't order and wait. Eventually she let us and told us to come back in 20. That wasn't so hard was it? So we order the 10 piece soy garlic strips. We come back and are brought to the bar where we had to box it up ourselves. The hostess tells us she isn't allowed to box it up.. The strips themselves are pretty good, however some pieces are tougher than others. They're crunchy, they're flavorful, but they could have been more generous with the sauce. The inside looks cozy and the location is much more convenient compared to the Ellicot store. We'll come back in a few weeks/months after they get a smoother system going. read more

This location does not compare to the Ellicott City Bonchon AT ALL. Ordered for delivery and apparently this location is closer then EC. Wish I would have just done pick up at EC. This was a suggestion of my GF's and I can't say I was disappointed. I'm a sucker for pot stickers and Bon Chon's are delicious. We got two orders of wings, garlic flavored, and spicy, and two orders of the pot stickers and everything was good. I loved how hard they fried the chicken, and the flavor of the sauces, although, I must admit, the spicy had me gasping for air at times. Service was pretty good, nothing special but nothing bad. I hate to admit it, but I honestly wasn't impressed by their boneless wings. They only had two sauces to choose from: spicy and soy garlic (or plain). I got plain and soy garlic, and my partner got the spicy ones. Now, this wasn't an ordinary spicy or mild - this was HOT LAVA level spicy. I tried a bite and nearly choked, and downed a full glass of water. My partner could hardly eat them! We knew it would be spicy but there's absolutely no "level" or label to the spice - so you get what you get. I think he even had to RINSE THE WINGS OFF with water! And he LIKES spicy! I also just wasn't impressed with the quality of the wings. They were pretty flat, and I expected them to be more...fluffy? And Crispy? It just wasn't good, as in it wasn't tasty. The plain ones, I expected them to be salty and crisp and they just tasted so...bland and tasteless almost. The soy garlic ones were honestly just okay. I probably won't order from there again. Also it was expensive. And they gave me a can of soda instead of fountain or bottle - which instantly makes me mad lol because they charge like $2.50! Tried Bonchon last week for the first time. Got the bulgogi, which was excellent, and an order of chicken strips with the Korean BBQ sauce. Yum! Order came with a side, I chose the pickled radish, which was delicious. Surprised kimchee was not an option for a side. We've been frequenting this Bonchon ever since it opened, as well as the Ellicott City location. The chicken has always been flavorful and plentiful, with large tenders, wings, and drumsticks. We were pretty disappointed with their mukbang deal today, which contains 15 wings, 15 tenders, and 15 boneless wings, plus 3 sides. Once we got home and opened the boxes, it was immediately apparent that all of the chicken was significantly smaller than we've received at any Bonchon location. The tenders and were at least a third smaller than normal, and the boneless wings were small and flat, similar to Chicken McNuggets. The wings and drumsticks were even smaller, at about half their previous size. Flavor-wise, they were still as good as they normally are. I'm not sure if this issue is limited to this location, or if the chicken has been changed at all locations, which would've been a Bonchon corporate decision. We have other KFC locations nearby, some of which are pretty good. We'll probably just stick with those in the future. read more

Food was awesome!! Just discovered this place. The first time we were there, they were training a new cashier. He accidentally put in wings instead of strips. As for most Bonchon places it takes awhile to get your chicken since preparing this type of chicken can take some time. The flavors were on point and the crispness wasn't too bad either for takeout. The only reason I didn't give it a 4 star rating is because the radish sides could have been a little better, they seemed a little unevenly chopped. Bonchon chain in general is delicious! However at this one they recently changed their food vendor and the food doesn't taste the same as the other Bonchons... including their famous chicken. I really really wanted to like it more but overall it fell short... we did have the same experience a few weeks ago and wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt that it was an off day. We got the pork bun sliders and they came out cold and hard :( making them difficult to eat. The fried rice and bibimbap was tasty but didn't make up for the chickens new flavor or the sliders. read more

I've been to bonchon many times but only the Ellicott City location. Ellicott City is closer to my house so I always go there but this location is close to my work. I came here immediately after work and let me tell you it was amazing! I came around 5 on Thursday and luckily it was happy hour. Their happy hour times are 3-6 on weekdays and prices are regular draft for $2.75, season draft for $3.75, and bottled beer for $3.25. I was waiting for a couple of friends and if you know about bonchon, it takes a while to get the food. I ordered a medium combo which is 10 wings and 5 drumsticks for $23.95. It came out within 10 minutes. I repeat, 10 minutes!!!! The wings were great. If you don't know, they are double fried. And delicious. Warning, if you like really spicy food, then order spicy. Their spicy wings are super spicy so be careful when you're ordering! If you love wings, you should definitely come here!! read more

Even if you tell them it's "for here", everything is placed on take out containers. The chicken is soggy and the sauces are weak. Their chicken has changed, for the worst. Their chicken used to be super crispy and covered in sauce. Now, they're simply breaded chicken tenders with a little dab of sauce drizzled over. I ordered Bonchon through a third party delivery but everything came as fresh and correct as I had ordered . I lived in Asia for about 6 years so I would say I have a good eye for Asian cuisine First off , I see some reviews where it says they use MSG , I think people should research MSG because there's no scientific proof of side effects of MSG . The myth stemmed from a Doctor who overate Chinese food and published an article about it , a few newspapers ran with the story . You can over eat most high fat foods and will have a " food coma " end result . You can't rule out anything else you ate , drank or did that day . Making a statement as " I felt so bad there must have been MSG in that food " is a very serious allegation . It's extremely unfair to a business , especially a food business where some people will shy away in fear of being " poisoned " by an establishment . Also , it's argued that it's not " authentic " well .... the product was fresh and flavorful , just understand that it's never going to compare to what you are accustomed to aka " nothing is as good as your Mother's cooking " The Salmon ball was cooked perfectly .Fried chicken was cooked well , juicy and flavorful . Good price point . Overall it was a great meal for my co worker and I after a long flight . We weren't disappointed . I can't wait to return to MD again and enjoy it again read more

But since I'm a bon chon fan maybe this type of review can give this branch a kick in the arse. Is this an example of a franchisee mucking up a nice brand? I'm not sure but when bon chon first came on the scene they were consistently good. Now not so much and this branch might be the worst one so far.
