Soy garlic chicken. Japchae. Bulgogi fries
Jennifer D.

The food doesn't taste like any bonchon locations we tasted. The chicken was served room temperature and doesn't taste like soy garlic. The japchae doesn't taste like japchae. The bulgogi fries were little serving and again, all the food was room temperature. The service, I cannot blame coz there's only 1 server serving the entire restaurant on a Saturday dinner. The restaurant location and ambience is one of the most gorgeous location especially the fountain outside the restaurant

I enjoyed the food. The service is always slow here. But the staff is very friendly. As for the background noise and videos that are playing, I'm not a fan but I understand why they have the videos playing that they do. I wish the happy hour was everyday. Is -point when they're holding events like trivia and stuff like that. It's just way too loud to have a conversation with your partner. I do recommend the wings over the legs and that is just a personal preference because to me the legs are too large for what I'm expecting. The wings are the right size for knee and I enjoy them the best. The Korean barbecue is the sauce that it's a general purpose. Got a little heat to it and sweet and middle of the road for a spicy sauce. Otherwise, if you're not a spicy person, get the the soy garlic. It's very tasty.

Wings, what else, lol

We haven't had this for awhile. We worked outside in the yard because it is a beautiful day so we thought we would order out. To our disappointment, the chicken wings and drums are not like what we had before. In general the size is smaller. Not only that it just tastes different!. Well, maybe it is the slower turn around with the food with less people eating out. Might try that again in the future but ugh!

Food is delicious. Wings were cooked perfect and fries were good also. Monday night is $.50 wings and you can't beat that. Also got Korean donuts to go. Service is ok. Kind of slow the serving staff and server out our to go bag on another table and after us sitting Waiting she brought it over and apologized.

The hubby and I came here for lunch. We got Korean BBQ wings, Popcorn shrimp and a thinly sliced ribeye steak dinner with white rice. The food was delicious! The prices are average. The atmosphere is a bit noisy, but it's up beat. This establishment is new and modern. The service was friendly and attentive. We will be coming back.

Brought the lady a couple nights later and altho the crispy/juicy/flavorfully-sauced wings and the potstickers - with their doughy/crispy texture mix and chicken-flavored pork filling - were a big hit with her as well, one aspect of the the experience seems to have suffered, the service. Be advised that if you elect to sit at the bar, there's a decent chance you will be ignored for several minutes at some point, and apparently the best chance of this happening seems to be as soon as you sit down. Altho we were able to walk up and order drinks pretty quick, we then watched another couple and a solo patron sit on either side of us, and separately wait several minutes without any employee contact and then leave in disgust. (I'm guessing there is at least one 1-star review resulting.) The truly frustrating part is that the exact same bartender/server that I had just raved about on their opening day, was the same person now ignoring customers! Nevermind that she later made an off-handed comment about working pretty much every hour that the place had been open -which by that point would have constituted 4-straight 12-hr days. While there's a whole other discussion around that, the bottom line is that this is ultimately management's responsibility so when a manager rolled by as we were leaving, we decided to let him know. Unfortunately he immediately turned the conversation to our own food experience, which was of course positive. Suffice it to say, good food or not, the manager's reaction left a bad taste in our mouths. And a drop from 4 to 3-stars.

We went to Bonchon for the first time tonight and loved it. The service was fantastic, the drink list was vast and the food was so amazing. We had the fries (so tasty), the drumsticks (Korean BBQ and the tacos. Everything was so delicious. Let me just say the drumsticks are HUGE and the medium order (10) feed for adults. We will definitely be coming back and trying different things in the

The chicken was so good! We loved the yum yum and Korean flavors. We also had the spicy chicken fried rice. It was spicy for me but my husband loved it. Service was excellent!

Excellent crunchy wings! Great sauces. The Korean sauce was the perfect blend of flavor and spice.

The potatoes were also pretty solid. The flavored tea was nice, it just needed a bit of sugar. Our waitress was super friendly and made the experience even better. She was enthusiastic and enjoyed sharing her favorite menu items, which I appreciated. The ambiance was very welcoming, and I liked how open the space felt. The only downside was that the host who seated us seemed a little short when asking if we had reservations, especially when I asked if they were required.

Got a flight- moon jumper (smoky), black angel (a little on the burnt side), blackberry gose, pumpkin porter (spicy but not fake pumpkin flavor spicy). Beer battered asparagus for the appetizer- delicious! Crunchy which was great! Husband and I split a bacon pickle pizza (omg!!) and spicy chicken sandwich with wedges (huge, thick potato slices). Definitely recommend the pizza, so flavorful! Spicy chicken was both hot and spicy from the jalapeños and sweet from the sauce. Madysen was our server and was amazing and attentive! If it wasn't 2.5 hours away we'd be regulars! Lots of parking available.

I've been wanting to try this place for awhile so finally, 10/15/25 was the day. My friend and I…read moremade the drive from the city of Chicago to Monee, IL which was about 40 minutes. We get there and there is a cute young girl who greets us with an apron and chef's hat on. She seats us and takes our order - she was our waitress which surprised us. I ordered a cup of chicken noodle soup to have before my meal. I'm glad I got a cup and not a bowl. The cup was only half full. The soup was lacking flavor so I added pepper. The woman who is GrannyMa delivered the soup. She didn't speak to us or anything the entire time while we were there which didn't feel too nice. They were sold out of the beef liver, beef shortribs and sweet potatoes. We ordered the fried chicken (menu states it takes 20-25 minutes for the chicken) and the salmon croquettes. Each dinner comes with 2 sides each so we got the macaroni and cheese, green beans, dressing and mostaccioli (slight extra charge for the mostaccioli). Fried chicken was crispy and delicious! Seasoned well. The croquettes were good also - they give you two big patties in the dinner. We weren't impressed with the green beans as you can tell they came out of a can. The dressing was only okay. The mac and cheese was pretty good but the best side was the mostaccioli - it had a layer of cheese on top and was really yummy. I wish I had gotten that as a meal, it was that good and highly recommend it. For dessert I got the peach cobbler sundae which is peach cobbler with vanilla ice cream on top. The cobbler sauce was very thin. I like cobbler that has alot of flaky crust but this didn't have that but it still was good enough to eat the whole thing. The young girl brought us our bill. The prices are so reasonable for what you get. Our bill was only $62 with tax for all of what we had. The place is bright with warm colors inside. We conversated with the son-in-law to GrannyMa's, he was very nice and personable. Although the young girl was sweet, I felt some kind of way of her being our waitress because clearly she is underage to be working. We were told they have a Sunday brunch from 11-3 that includes a DJ. To my friend and I, the food overall was either hit or miss. One review mention about GrannyMa engaging them in conversation - she never came over to our table except to drop off the soup and she is the owner of the restaurant. Not a good way in customer service if you ask me. Overall, okay.

We decided to go with the rustic pizzas that were delicious and unusual: harmony, Korean, chicken and loaded supreme. The crust tasted like it was from a woodfired oven and the Korean chicken pizza was so unusual and tasty with kimchi and pickled shiitake. The fresh from the forest mushroom side dish they gave us a special treat to us was quite a delicacy. Even the farm to table items they have for sale when you walk in to take home are a treat, Especially the homemade marshmallows! Ended with dessert of a fresh orange olive oil cake with just tremendous flavor and blood orange on the side and orange marmalade on the cake. It served exquisitely with a side of homemade ice cream that was to die for. We can't wait to come back! Our waitress, Lupe, treated us like family and was incredibly personal and warm. The fish was fresh- including tuna, salmon, shrimp- placed over small celery bites. A variety of sauces were dotted around the plate's edge. The dish would have benefited from some ginger and more sauce. Our entrees included Pork Coppa Ramen- which was a solid dish- strong beef broth flavor and the sambal (chili sauce) -a few cents extra- added a good depth of flavor. The fish bowl- tuna, salmon- with rice, pickled veggies, and gim (Korean seaweed) was tasty. It was even tasty the next day cold out of the fridge. Our server Jack did a nice job- we sampled their roasted carrots- and they were actually our favorite bite. We also had the potato graten and they were tasty- but could have been easily skipped with our Asian dinner vibe. The restaurant has a great eclectic historical vibe and was busy on a Friday night, but still felt spacious. The drink menu is a good selection- we enjoyed wine with dinner (a solid Pinot noir). I would definitely go back to have the pizza- which looked delicious at a couple of the neighboring tables. This is a great date night venue or girls night out.

That said, nothing here blows me away taste, or service-wise. I've never had a bad meal or service issue here either. I considered a demerit this time around for the current prices, but frankly it's the same way everywhere, esp for bfast. The biggest downside is probly the ambiance, which is more on the noisy side based on it being a pretty large place these days and still pretty popular. I can't comment on lunch or dinner because we've never tried it, but the place prized brunch spot mostly by folks middle-aged and up (with more families/kids on the weekends) for its all-around consistency.
