Great food, good entertainment, and awesome bartenders! We also had really good seafood. The view was fabulous too. Would definitely go back and recommend to friends. read more

I ate here while visiting Florida from NY. The restaurant was great. They served the meal on white linen tablecloths. They had a live piano player playing classical music. The waitstaff was polite and well-dressed. We had a table next to the window overlooking the water, and the view was beautiful. We saw dolphins swimming nearby, and what looked like a sailboat school giving lessons (it was neat to watch). The food was amazing. I have posted several photos of the food we ate, and you should look at them. The grouper sandwhich was great (see photo). I didn't eat the lamb shank, but it looked incredible (see the photo). I really enjoyed the food, and I can't wait to go back here. Prices were reasonable considering that the restaurant is relatively fine dining. Though, perhaps I am merely used to absurd NY pricing so this seemed cheaper by comparison (at least for a restaurant of this quality). I would absolutely recommend this restaurant. read more

First off, go there the nights the pianist is there. Carol is wonderful. I am a local and have my favorite waiters. The service is first class and the food is always cooked to perfection. My favorites are the rack of lamb and grilled salmon. read more

What a nice place... Great food, beautiful view, great staff. Fantastic value.

Beautiful restaurant. Service was quick and didn't take long for anything. The broccoli and cheese soup was really good The fish and chips by far are the best I ever had and I'm a extremely picky eater. The prices are fairly priced especially for how good the food and service is. will definitely go again read more

The views are the only good thing. Hadn't been there in a while and had late lunch today. We were looking forward to it. Tasteless and overpriced. Really couldn't believe how disappointing everything was, including the service; and there were only 3 tables occupied. Reminded me of the old joke -- "the food is not worth eating - and such small portions!" And we didn't think it was appropriate to see the staff seated and eating in an adjoining room. They will never see us again. read more

From out of town and visited both times we were in the area! The seafood tower for two is our goto! And you HAVE to ask for Cher he is the ABSOLUTE best! Can't wait to come back and visit next year! read more

The best steak I've ever had. Great service. The food cane so fast and was so delicious

Oddly, I disagree with the other negative reviews. The food was actually good (although, because of the reviews, we avoided the lobster). We have been there twice for dinner, and found the waitstaff to be uniformly and almost aggressively hostile. The first time we went, our waitperson was so rude, our guests got up and left before even ordering, vowing never to come back (they haven't). We tried again a few months later, thinking we just caught them on a bad night, but no: the waitperson was, again surly and hostile. I got the impression that the attitude is a top-down problem stemming from management that is focused on productivity rather than on customer satisfaction. I conclude this because 2 of our group (of 6) ordered an entree to share, and they were charged double for it. The waitperson informed us that was policy. No exceptions. That was a decision that came from somewhere up the chain of command, and it isn't a decision that a wise manager would make if he cares about return customers. read more

Went for brunch on a Sunday. Sat outside. The view is great. I had fish and chips. The fish and breading were done perfectly with light crust. Very tasty. My husband had the course option. He had soup de hour ( chili chicken), salmon and desert. Fish was excellent as well as the seasoning. Dessert was awesome. Our dining companion had the grouper sandwich and she also thought the fish was great. I would go back when in the area. Not too loud. Just a peaceful and tasty lunch on the water. read more

Had Lunch today Food was amazing along with scenery... Waitress Ashley was professional and attentive ... was a delightfully Dunedin experience read more

The only thing this place has going for it is the beautiful views. I would recommend visiting the outside bar for cocktails so you can enjoy the views. Then have dinner at one of the many wonderful restaurants in Dunedin! This was my second and last visit to Bon Appetit. read more

So bad !!! I came with appetite and I left with appetite! Completely disappointed with this place, the food is expensive, the size is like degustation , the services is bad, they don't explain the menu, now I understand why the place next to them was full and Bon Appetit wasn't. read more

Service, decor, atmosphere, entertainment- all outstanding! We hosted a dinner for 13 and we could not have been more pleased with all of the above. My meal was underwhelming, however. Dover sole was mediocre at best and if I had been with a much smaller group I would have returned it to the kitchen, but I did not want to make a "fuss" in the moment. The apple strudel was flavorless and a terrible disappointment. The accompanying vanilla ice cream was good. I did not speak to staff about my disappointments after the meal either in the same spirit of keeping an otherwise lovely evening conflict- free! All that said, this is a lovely destination restaurant and we are likely to return when out of town guests visit. Finally, huge kudos to service and hosting staff. Very professional and pleasant. read more

I would recommend this place to no one the valet staff are rude and the prices are too high for the crappy food they serve much better places to eat and the manager Tomas when I called him to address my concerns just blew me off read more

Great water front dining in Dunedin! Best mussels ever! Also Happy Hour on Saturday! Also the lobster stack is delish!

Sunset views, elegant dining, delicious entrees. Who could ask for more. Wish we lived closer. Pricey, but perfect for that special evening.

Great place to eat. The food here is expensive and gourmet. The service is out of this world and this is an upscale upper class restaurant. Great for a special occassion or anniversary or for a birthday party. Creme brouille is out of this world and the freshest berries and the best of the best. Don't get the lobster because its FL Lobster, it has to be Maine Lobster or it ain't lobster. The filet minion is great and all their food is fantastic. See if you can get an early bird special or groupon and definitely hit this place up. They have valet parking and its right on the water in Dunedin and they have nice music playing near the pier. A favorite hangout and you don't have to go to the restaurant in order to enjoy the pier which many people often do. read more

First and last time I will eat here. The service was below average. The gentleman server, Scott, was not for conversation. We had to ask him how he was, rather than the other way around. He never asked if we wanted more to drink, never refilled our water, and did not even stop over to see how our food was after someone else delivered it. He was very quick to grab the signed bill, even before we left. What bothered me the most is his reaction to the tips that were left on the bill. We each left 20%, more than what his service was worth. He opened the black book, shook his head in disgust and muddled some words. It bothers me he felt entitled to a tip more than what was given. On the way out he said nothing to us, another server said something about have a good day. The fact the patio was not very busy at all, is no excuse for the poor service. The service was zero stars, the food was efficient and tasty with at least a 3. I spoke with the manager about the service. She seemed to take my service concern seriously. read more

We ate outside at the bar. Atmosphere is great a real vacation feeling. The food was absolutely fabulous, service was also fabulous. Plan on coming back soon. read more

The food was excellent but the service was a bit slow. Atmosphere was very nice, good music. Incredible ocean view.

Our Waiter was very polite and professional. Csorg.. Sorry, I cant recall the name. One star. The New Zealand rack of lamb was (i'm guessing) frozen. Small with an old appearance. Disappointed. Zero stars. The lamb was served with carrots (ok but boring) and an extremely HARD quartered yam. Two orange veggies at the same time. Zero stars. Asparagus was also served which was perfectly fine. One star. Bon Appetit needs a wake up call. KZ read more

We love the Bon Appetit. This is one of the best hidden gems around. I proposed to my wife there and we had our wedding reception there in 2011 after eating there just once. Our party of 30 had a great experience and couldn't believe that a restaurant like this existed in the little town of Dunedin. The next day we had breakfast there and it was excellent as usual. We also spent our first anniversary there. Beautiful decor, great waitstaff and the piano player makes every visit a pleasure and a real experience to remember. That, the waterfront view and the marina make for a really romantic night. Oh yeah, the food! You have to try the yucca fries with the green sauce....nothing but excellent. I love their Lamb shank and get it almost every time. The fish is always great. No matter what you order, there is no bad dish at the Bon Appetit. The Bon Appetit is a consistently excellent experience! The piano player takes requests too! read more

I very rarely, okay never, write reviews but we had a wonderful dinner last evening. The Sea Bass was incredible, the atmosphere was fantastic. But what really made our experience so pleasant was the staff. From the valet to the hostess to our magnificent waiter Robert, who made our dinner most enjoyable! Outstanding!! read more

It was a shuffle. I had a reservation. Our server Dom was amazing. The food was horrific. There was no care, passion in the food. We paid and tipped well. That was for our server. The food was sloppy and for the money we paid, awful. read more

We love love this place. The ahi tuna is truly the best in like 4 towns.. the carpaccio is amazing as well. We usually go for the starters! I really liked it, I had the French onion soup and fries (major cheat day ) and it was delicious! Not a bad crowd and the servers are very polite. Didn't have reservation so we got seating at the bar, food came out fast even though it was packed! Nice live piano music. Will go again for sure :) read more

I have not been back in a while. However it was very dated looking. The food was ok but nothing to write a great review about. They had a special menu for Octoberfest and my husband had the pork roast. the presentation was poor and looked like nursing home food. It seems a second restaurant opened on Honeymoon Island . This is where they must be putting their efforts. read more

We went to Bon Appétit for dinner with a large group of people, celebrating a friend's birthday. Food and atmosphere were EXCELLENT, especially the piano dinner music. Presumably because of our significant bill ($750+), our waiter (Alessandro, btw wonderful!!!) offered a voucher for a complimentary bottle of champagne on our next visit. Since we are not from the area, we decided to return the next day for drinks and to redeem the voucher. The voucher clearly stated that no purchase was necessary, only requirements being minimum party of 4 and dine in only. After presenting voucher to the waiter and ordering a large round of drinks, we were told by the attending manager, and ultimately head manager, that they would not honor our voucher. He more or less indicated it would be accepted ONLY if we would be ordering 4 food items. After a brief conversation, it became quite apparent the head manager has a RUDE, non-customer oriented demeanor and had NO intention of honoring his restaurant's voucher as written. Very poor business choice, as 2+ rounds of drinks would have exceeded a small food order (which wasn't a requirement per the voucher in the first place.) We left without purchasing anything. In summary, GREAT food, but HORRENDOUS business insight. They should consider hiring a lawyer, or perhaps just someone with common-sense, to write their intended promotional offers. read more

My finance and I had visited Clearwater from California and was recommended Bon Appetit Restaurant and this was best find ever. The property has the perfect setting with a great sunset and as well as a great dining experience. Our drinks were made just as we are use to in Malibu. The apps we chose were avocado stack and the burrata. Our main entree consisted of the Red Snapper and the Grouper that was as good as any fish we have had. Hollywood Stu our waiter gave a very informative description of each and every item that was spot on. When back in the area we will positively will return. Thank you again read more

The best restaurant in Dunedin. I come to visit my grandparents a few times a year and we come here every time. Have a drink outside before dinner to watch the sunset. Dinner inside is a classy feel. A piano man plays soft music and the hot dinner rolls are fantastic! Hollywood Stu, is the best waiter and has given us excellent service each time. The shrimp fettuccini is excellent as well as the lamb shank and scallops. You really can't go wrong here. read more
