Brunch outside. If it is cold, it's cold. There were heaters but no one would/could turn them on so people scrambled to try to get the 2 tables in the sun. Given that the server was good and the food tasty, I was disappointed to be left to freeze. If Melania Trump were here, she'd stomp her feet until her boyfriend got the manager to turn the heat on. read more

One of our favorites. Love the old-school atmosphere, attention to needs, candor of service (ask for Garrett!), and consistent quality of food. Best lamb chops in the area. (IMO) Their steaks are excellent too. Come for a cocktail, stay for dessert. We always sit inside but there's nice patio service too. Enjoy! read more

I've dined here many times. Unfortunately, I wasn't made a aware that they drastically increased some of their wines, among other things. To my surprise my $22 9oz glass of wine is now $36 (even though the online menu had it listed at $26 per glass but that's a whole other gripe I have with them)!! Even when I complained, they gave no consideration or apology. I can understand charging $36 when you're fine dining, but this food does NOT compare to fine dining. It offers ambience and that's it! I'll find ambience at another establishment. read more

The dining selections were excellent; scallops and risotto) for both, and I had the Raw Bar poke as an appetizer (This is a dish that I love, but it is rarely found outside of Hawai'i). As good as the meals were, the dinner was really highlighted by our server Rachel-efficient, attentive and wonderfully personable. read more

How could this place only have 3.5 's? It is phenomenal! What a fine dinner we just had. Crab avocado salad, boulibasse for hubby, and lobster roll for me. Service was on par. We had great waitresses and even the hostess was great Ambiance is exquisite. Sparkling starred ceiling, live flowers on each table, live music. The best place I could hope for! read more

I don't recommend their Caesar salad anymore. It used to be delicious, but I stopped by yesterday and ordered the small Caesar salad with salmon. Well what comes out is 2 tiny little plates with a handful of lettuce on one plate and on a separate plate a piece of salmon. That is not what someone expects when they order a salad with a protein on it. So I had to ask for a larger plate so I can move the salad onto the plate and put the salmon on top of it. And the salad dressing was sweet - it used to be quite good but it was sweet, & that is not Caesar. And the croutons were obviously store-bought - not freshly made. Still a lovely location but also the salmon had a lot of oil on it - probably some awful seed oil. I can't recommend that salad anymore. read more

Had the Bouillabaisse - absolutely delicious!!! Omg so yummy... Huge shrimp, scallops, oysters, Cherry tomatoes, fish in a delicious broth! Definitely recommend it was pricey but so worth it it was enough for two meals for me. Great view, sunset amazing, wonderful friendly staff- Kimberly our waitress and Tina the hostess was amazing. read more

Beautiful atmosphere and views. Food is awesome. We have Christmas dinner here every year

Our party of 4 went there for dinner and was absolutely delighted. The water view ambiance was perfect, service excellent and the food delicious. I ordered half a rack of lamb well done it came with asparagus, mini potatoes and summer squash with a delicious mint julep sauce. It was well seasoned and delicious. My wife had a grilled salmon filet that came with a salad. She said hers was also well seasoned and quite tasty. I will recommend this restaurant and a stroll on the attached jetty to view the rays feeding was a perfect way to view the sunset read more

Not very good at all!!!! We went there a few years ago and was better...I ordered a lobster roll and it was terrible....the server got multiple orders wrong and the price for the quality of food is really kind of ridiculous. I would never go back to this place again absolutely never again and I would highly recommend not eating here unless you want terrible food and terrible service. I don't mind paying for good food, but I expect it to be good in this place didn't make it not even close !! read more

Located on the waterfront in Dunedin, FL, we loved the atmosphere, music, and just being on the water and enjoying watching the boats come and go. And the sunsets, well amazing. The food was good but we thought the portions were small and pricey, service was a little hit or miss. It was October, so they had an Octoberfest menu. I had the smoked salmon over potato pancakes, good but small portions, my husband had the chicken over noodles and my daughter had fettuccini alfredo with shrimp, which was the best dish. The pasta was cooked well and the sauce was light and tasty. A great place to go if you don't mind the prices but love the ambiance and great views. read more

I wanted to eat near the water, but the husbeast didn't want to go all the way to Clearwater, so I told him about this side of Dunedin. He wasn't sure - but when I pointed this place out, he'd already eaten here. He said we weren't dressed fancy enough for inside, but for outside, we were dressed just fine. We had excellent seats, right on the deck next to the water - We should have considered this, that at 4pm on an early October Saturday, the sun was already in a downward arc and was blinding, but I got to hide behind a pillar and only took mild sun damage. The view though, Was incredible. Our waitress was wonderful, She was from Hungary, was knowledgable about the menu and let us have a few minutes to decide what we wanted. We started out with ice tea, but those were old/skunky so I opted for a diet pepsi and the husband had water. The husbeast had the gumbo and I had the French Onion soup and we both had the 1946 Salad. Both of us were delighted with the food. The salads were huge and the soups were fresh made. Neither of us were hungry when we left. I did get to venture inside and it's quite Chi chi, the bathrooms are incredibly beautiful. read more

The view is great. The waiter Justin Ohio very attentive to our needs BUT the chef ruined our grouper with too much salt. Stop the salt and just prepare the Groupe to taste like Grouper. Thanks for the quiet table to share with a special person. read more

Great food! I mean detailed and never sloppy. How it should be. Clean and nice experience. Good service!

We had a lovely time in this very relaxing space, there was a slow and relaxing pace as we enjoyed our meal. Our waiter, seasoned, at no time asked if we were still working on our meal. He inquired if we were enjoying our meal. Later, he asked if we would like containers to go. Very professional, gracious and pleasant. He did not need to entertain us. He knew how to be present while also not impacting our conversation negatively. My appreciation for his service increased when he did not ask if we were working on our meal. The meal was a pleasure for us to enjoy. Bravo read more

First of all, when you talk about Bon Appétit, you have to first mention the beautiful, water view! I brought my dad here for a late lunch and happy hour. There are daily happy hour specials from 11:30am - 6:00pm (excluding holidays and special events). They feature $2.50 Bud Light and Yuengling draughts, $4 glasses of house wine (cabernet sauvignon, merlot, chardonnay, and white zinfandel), and $4 well cocktails. We sipped on a couple of Bloody Mary's that were on special and took in the beautiful water view. They were pretty good and paired well with the Black Angus sirloin burger that we ordered. The burger came with lettuce, tomato, red onion, pickles and a choice of cheese. It was quality meat made exactly how we ordered it. It was really delicious! The atmosphere is pretty chill with no pretentiousness that I noticed. It may have been the time of day that we went. It was on the weekend and we sat outside on the outdoor terrace. There is a waterfront bar that you can sit at as well. I can see this as a nice place to dress up and go out to dinner later in the evening because the inside is quite nice and they have some upscale food offerings. It's a great place for groups and families. We saw several people with children, older adults, and dogs. Yep, Bon Appetite is pet friendly! Pets are welcomed on the outside terrace. I like this place. The service was great and our waitress was both attentive and made some really good recommendations! I'll definitely be back! :-) read more

We joined for sunset dinner - and the sunset was truly spectacular! Not surprisingly, the ambience and service were equally excellent; in particular Manu, our server, was courteous, friendly, and efficient, which added to the quality of our overall experience. We highly recommend the Escargot, Salmon Escabeche, and Broiled Lobster Tail. Many thanks to Jeff and his entire team for making our last evening in Dunedin one to remember! read more

Overall, was an average restaurant with poor service. My wife and I ordered. $125 dollar bottle of wine and didn't feel the service was anything special. Our bill for the two of us was $300 and I couldn't get the server to give me water. Asked several times for it. Filet was cooked perfectly medium rare. Might be fancy for the tourist in the area but definitely not for the locals. read more

It was good. Not as great as it used to be. Hubby had the ahi tuna app which was very good. He also had a dozen oysters which were just ok. I had the 3 course dinner. Had a house salad with blue cheese dressing. That was excellent! I had the filet medium rare and it was cooked perfectly. The asparagus was good. Came with squash which I don't like and a sweet potato cake. That was good. Bread was good and the petit chocolate mousse that came with my meal was good. All in all it was good but we won't rush back for the prices. read more

Great location but the food was horrible for the price you pay for and the service we got wasn't good at all for the high end restaurant. The server took our appetizer order already but he came back in like 5 mins asking if we wanted to start from any appetizers... I ordered lamb chops medium rare and came out to be well done. So I sent it back. By the time I received mine my bf was done with his food. I also ordered Chai old fashioned. It was the worst old fashioned I have ever tasted‍ I was just totally disappointed! Though Snail appetizer was good! I may go just sit at the outdoor bar but not going to dine in again. read more

Summary: Excellent service paired with excellent execution on food. Highly recommended! Reserve seating early for Sunday's and holidays as this place fills up! Food: I had the 1943 salad which I thought was better than the venerated Columbia '1903'. The salad was $12 and covered in ham, salami, and fresh layers of parm. Dressing was outstanding. I'm not typically a salad person but I would go out of my way to have this salad again! I also had the French onion soup which was excellent but at $8 I think a bit pricey. Our table also had the lamb chop, 12oz prime rib, and fish and chips. Excellent reviews all around. Small dessert cups are $3 and very tasty with 8 different options. Drinks: $2.50 Yuengling and Bud pints, $4 Sangria/house wine, margaritas for happy hour. We also had Mike (bartender) make us his custom Ketel martini with blue cheese stuffed olives... Incredible!! Kids: Decent kids menu with options for $6. Ours had a hot dog and fries which was huge. Parking: Valet in the lot and can get busy on weekends as this place is at a marina and shares with a hotel. Ambiance: Great views in both the inside and outside dining areas. Also features an inside and outside bar. Perfect for sunsets! read more

I recently hosted a team event with many colleagues visiting from out of town and thought Bon Appétit would be a perfect spot, as I wanted my group of around 20 to enjoy a beautiful sunset while dining. I made the reservation ahead of time and clearly stated that my goal was to treat my team to dinner while watching the sunset. When we arrived, we were told a room was prepared for us. I immediately mentioned that we didn't want to be seated in a back room, as I had specifically requested a view of the sunset. The person handling our reservation insisted that two servers had already been assigned and claimed I'd be taking money away from them if we changed our seating. I noticed several open tables and asked if we could pull them together outside instead, but I was told they have a policy against doing that--even though there were clearly other groups with tables pulled together at the time. It was a Tuesday evening with plenty of available outdoor seating, and yet they refused to accommodate us. For a local restaurant, it's surprising that they didn't seem interested in finding a solution. I live in Dunedin and frequently support our local restaurants, and this is the first truly disappointing experience I've had here. Unlike the other family-owned establishments that genuinely care about their local customers, Bon Appétit seemed indifferent to our experience. I'll be sharing this experience with others in the community, as well as the many restaurants, bars, and breweries I regularly visit. We left and had an amazing dinner at "The Lucky Lobster" Thank you Jennifer for amazing service!! read more

Great food, drinks and view. Dinner and lunch are both great options. The outside bar is fun with fast, friendly service.

We had a great dinner last night! Tina was our server and she was so lovely. We had quite a few items, but the best ones were the French Onion soup, scallops and steak. We ate at sunset and the view was beautiful. There were even some dolphins playing right below our window. Definitely worth it if you are in the area and looking for a great meal, gorgeous views and amazing service. read more

We had a 7:30 reservation, the atmosphere of the restaurant was beautiful looking over the bay watching the sunset. Priceless. Our server, Cameron was professional and very helpful. My only thing is, we felt a little rushed, it was a Monday night and I guess they close a little bit earlier than the weekend however they shouldn't have taken a 730 reservation. We will definitely go back but on a weekend lol A few of us had fish dinners, and my husband had the steak, we were all pleased read more

The location is amazing and the food is consistently good. The service is often attentive although we have had off nights as well. We have been about a dozen times over the course of the last several years so an off night of service happens everywhere and is no reason to stay away. I rate this restaurant a 4 out of 5 stars because the menu options are fairly standard and not much (other than the view) is out of this world amazing. They do often have live music inside at the piano and depending on which songs are played, the music may be too old for your taste. French Onion Soup - my husband orders this everytime we come and he says it is the second best French onion soup he has ever had (his first choice is from a cruise line we frequent so I guess that makes the soup here his first choice on land. This is an overall solid restaurant located on the water with a breathtaking view. read more

My little sister, she is now 59 :) , was in Dunedin for a visit. My wife and I took her on a golf cart tour of our beautiful town and ended it at Bon Apetit. Started with drinks at the outdoor bar with Yvonne and Mauricio - two of the best bartenders there. We then went inside for our sunset reservation. We had the Salmon, Land and Sea, and a Filet Mignon. Everything was delicious. Our waiter Miguel was fantastic. Great food, service, and drinks. What more could you ask for. Would highly recommend! read more

The waitress was super. Very attentive and friendly. Food was awesome. Setting on the marina also great. Will go back.

Beware! Filet not cooked on grill the steak was very dry and cooked in a oven so not much flavor without the sauce. The only thing people talked about on the Pier was they liked the onion soup and salmon appetizer. read more
