The moment you step into his store you are family. My brother always will direct you to the best decision for your money and even is interested in and will give you his personal advice with any home project you are working on, as if he were doing it himself. (yes he has completed many home projects!) The only way I can express how he does business is to say his handshake is worth his signature --just like the old days when you can take someone for his word and not question it. Honest and integrity and his faith in "One Nation Under God" are part of his character Have a blessed day!

A relative of mine was shopping at Elkhorn Ace Hardware and when approached by an employee, and he…read moreasked if the store carried a small scale that measured in grams (for a legit hobby/crafting project-crochet yarn!). The employee asked very loudly if he needed the scale to measure weed. He was loud enough that other customers stopped and looked. The employee then followed my relative all the way around the rest of the time until he left feeling very irritated. (I have worked retail and understand the need to follow some shoppers around.) Apparently, the unprofessional employee did not take into consideration that one of my relative's patients could be in the next aisle, let alone a management member or HR person from healthcare organization who could report this, putting the entire career of a responsible young man into ruins. Obviously, I am furious and will never shop there again! Yes, my relative did call to speak to the assistant manager who said she would let the store manager know. The assistant manager, who at the time overheard the comment, and said nothing at the time.
