awesome awesome food. been a zareen's fan for years!…read more nestled within google campus, it's quite convenient to meet up with fellow friends in the area for after-work dinner (been here 3 times in the past month LOL) note that this location is take-out only, but there is plentiful outdoor seating. there's also a sports bar right across from here so we walked over to catch a world cup game (mexico vs. korea)! and if ur tryna see a movie, cinemark is also right there :)

There was plenty of outdoor seating, and the service was speedy. You order on a kiosk, which makes for a streamlined ordering process. The food is always solid - I love all of their thali selections. This location was much more peaceful compared to the Palo Alto location. I stopped by on a Saturday evening, and there were only a couple tables that were occupied. I will say I feel like the portion sizes here are noticeably smaller than those at the Palo Alto location. This might be because all of the orders are packed to-go, so maybe there's less space for food? For instance, the thali from the Palo Alto location includes a side salad, which was not included in my order here. The other sides (pickled salad and daal lentil), along with the entree, were also significantly smaller here. The prices are the same, so I do think the Palo Alto dishes are more worth it.

The butter chicken was good, though not the best I've had. The lamb rogan josh was amazing, complex and deeply flavorful, although the meat could have been a little more tender. The biryani was very North Indian style, delicate, fragrant with saffron, and not spicy. The real clincher was that Uber Eats had all three dishes on Buy One, Get One. So I ordered dinner and somehow ended up catering a small Indian wedding. Amazing value for money, plenty of leftovers, and an easy five stars.

Unfortunately, the experience was quite disappointing, especially for us as vegetarians. The vegetarian main course options were very limited and not up to the mark. The paneer and dal were particularly disappointing in terms of taste and quality. The dessert was good, and the fruits were probably the best part of the starters. However, the self-serve Pani Puri was a letdown - the pani tasted like it was made mostly from store-bought masala powder and lacked the authentic flavor you would expect. We were also never offered naan or roti by the server, and given the quality of the main dishes, we didn't feel the need to ask. I also tried the Mango Mastani, hoping it would be a highlight, but it was extremely sugary and had very little mango flavor. It felt more like a sweet drink with a small amount of mango purée rather than a true Mango Mastani. Overall, I had higher expectations and bad experience based on what I had heard about the buffet, but the vegetarian experience needs significant improvement.

Visited for a quick dinner with friend, great location & tasty food!…read more * Location: Right off El Camino, plenty of parking & easy to reach from San Antonio Caltrain station * Easy to read menu, friendly staff, easy to place orders for onsite dining, kiosks for takeout orders * Plenty of seating in large, clean booths and tables * Food was served super quickly, hot, & fresh. We appreciated the staff that made rounds to check on tables & offered additional (delicious) chutneys. Tasty eats, looking forward to trying more of their menu next time!

Food is always fresh and tastes good. Definitely recommend the Benne dosa, which is not commonly available in Bay area. It's a more thicker and crispier version of dosa. Have tried their idli, medu vada and the combo and mini Thali as well. Yet to try their lunch Thali or the rice items. They also have a daily $5 item, which is not listed on the normal menu and available after 3 pm . Some of these items are good as a snack like their Bajji ( chili fritters) available on Wednesday , while some are good enough as a meal like the Adai Avial ( lentil crepe served with a coconut milk based veg curry ) . They also sell, ready to eat , grab and go curries. The menu is completely vegetarian. This place is already popular , seeing how it always has customers throughout the day.

The ambience is average and service is average too. We had to ask for glasses for water, also needed to ask to refill the water. When we had finished with appetizer, in general the server will remove from table what you are done with - but here it just felt like plates are accumulating. No one to take away that. If the restaurant is busy I can understand that but when we ate - we were practically the only one there. So it wasn't the manpower problem - it is just a service problem. Coming to food. Pomfret was super good. Really well done. Briyani was a meh - I don't feel Bay Area has best briyani's anyways. I have had better Briyani in places like Seattle, Raleigh and Phoenix. The chicken 65 in Briyani though was pretty good - the typical Chennai style chicken 65 dyed with food colors . It was super nice of them to prepare filter coffee for us although it wasn't in the menu. Coffee was decent. The veg thali was also about okay. I didn't tried it but my friend did and that was his review. Their special goat briyani was decent at best - I was hyped up about it but to me.it didn't live up to the expectations.

It tastes exactly like the vibrant street food you'd find in Kathmandu or Darjeeling. The Standouts: * Veg Steamed Momos: These are perfection. The dough is rolled thin enough to be delicate but strong enough to hold the generous filling. The vegetable mix inside is finely minced, juicy, and seasoned with that distinct ginger-garlic punch. * The "Momo Achar" (Dipping Sauce): You can't talk about these momos without the sauce. It's a spicy, roasted tomato and sesame chutney that provides the perfect acidic kick to the savory dumplings. * Street Style Chow Mein: This is a nostalgia trip in a bowl. It's got that high-heat "wok hei" (breath of the wok) flavor--smoky, savory, and slightly oily in the best way possible. The noodles have a great bite, tossed with crunchy cabbage, carrots, and onions. This is the ultimate comfort meal. Fast, fresh, and bursting with authentic spices. I absolutely love it!
