Although I was sad to see the Panera Bread that was in this location close down, I was excited to see what Bombay Frankies was all about. I love Indian food, so this joint seemed to be right up my alley.
I showed up around 4:00 on a recent weekday and I had placed my order using their own website, so the wait was only a few minutes.
I had decided to try the Chicken Indian Burrito. The website doesn't list what's in it, so I was flying a little blind, but you can't go wrong with a Burrito as far as I'm concerned.
It's a hefty concoction. Tender, shredded chicken and beans of some sort are smothered in a tangy, spicy Indian sauce and wrapped in fresh-tasting naan. The first bite impressed me with its flavorfulness and the ingredients all seem to be top quality.
My one issue, however, is how same-tasting it is from start to finish. This is the kind of concoction that needed a pickled vegetable or something of that nature to cut through the richness of the sauce. I enjoyed eating this burrito, but would I ever order it again? Probably not.
I'm excited to try some of the other items on Bombay Frankies' menu, as it does seem like they're putting together their offerings with care. read more
