The food was great. My family and I visited Bombay curry on 7/27/25, when the temperature outside was above 85degrees F . The AC was not working and we kept requesting to switch it on . We also saw other customers complaining about the same. I understand the weather is severe but I would atleast like to hear someone trying to explain that AC wasnt working and they are providing more pedestrian fans instead . I'm not local to Raleigh but this place is worth travelling for! Service - top notch, presentation - on point. FLAVOR - out of this world. We had the butter chicken, Aloo Ghobi, garlic naan, and the Bombay appetizer sampler. All of it was amazing. Spiced to perfection and the textures, different but in a good way. Firstly the restaurant is pristine - you'll pay take out prices for a fine dining experience. The food is, without question, the best Indian I've ever had. The deals are unbeatable, and I'm a big eater and always have enough for at least a sizable snack to take home. The staff is always excellent. Very friendly and professional. Ramesh, the owner, is a real standout - it had been over a year since I'd last been in the restaurant, and he even remembered to ask about my auntie and what I liked to drink with my meal. Wow. We drove an extra 20 minutes out of our way for this place. My husband and I sat in quietness as we ate our delicious lunch The reason why.... No words could express how awesome this was. Decided to stop in for something different based on the reviews. We were not disappointed. The whole staff was attentive and friendly. Our server was outstanding. We ordered an appetizer and soup as well as two meals. The flavor that each of the dishes and sauces had was amazing. The portions were large so if you dine here be prepared for leftovers. The food is beyond amazing!! That you get to pick your heat range was wonderful. I thought maybe he didn't here me order the samosas, but my main entree was a large portion I was good. When he read the bill and my samosas were on there, I told him they didn't come but that was ok, he was shocked!! A co worker came over and went to find out how that could happen and asked if we could wait just a few minutes and they would be prepared to take home no charge! I told them that was ok but they were insistent to fix the situation! So we waited barely 5 minutes and they were brought out by who I'm assuming is the supervisor with another apology that it would never happen again!! Yes yes yes! If you are looking for Indian food, look no further. The flavors are excellent and the prices are great as well. We were blown away by how good this place is after picking up dinner a few nights ago. Gobo Manchurian (the best I've ever had), dal (perfect), chicken Tikka masala (oh my heavens rich and delightful), and vegetable curry (legit vegetables and awesome flavor) were all eaten up. This place was sooooo good. It tasted authentic and the price was reasonable. Chicken curry was $16 and the serving was big. I ate it all by myself but I'm sure it was enough for two to share. The naan was $4 and definitely for two. The service was awesome and the staff was very friendly and constantly checking up to make sure everything was good. Hands down the best Indian food we have had in Raleigh so far! We live not far from the restaurant so we place take out orders often. They're super efficient and friendly. The food never disappoints! Some Indian restaurants are a little too greasy and leave my stomach upset after eating their food but not Bombay curry! I'm vegetarian and they tons of options! I can never choose! Paneer tikka masala and saag paneer were 5/5. The chili paneer has a hint of sweetness so opt for something else if you don't enjoy that. Let me start off by saying Indian cuisine is easily top 3 for me. I was disappointed with my experience here. The restaurant has multiple 5 star rating so I was excited. I ordered pickup and had to wait an additional hour after arriving to pick up my food. The cooks were overwhelmed and the front of the house couldn't care less as takeout customers were being dismissed. After the hour long wait I finally got to try my food (tikka masala with garlic naan and mango chutney). I asked for my spice level to be "hot" and it was not spicy at all. I want to give this place another try but this experience left a bad taste in my mouth. If you do decide to eat here I hope your experience is better than mine. read more

Been here so many times and ordered delivery. Everything is fresh and delicious. I've had the tandoori mix and the tandoori chicken tikka. All of it was tender- the lamb, two chicken types, the shrimp were fresh. Comes with rice and masala which has just the right amount of kick. My husband ordered the goat curry and it was so tender. Bombay Curry offers some of the best Indian food I've had. Their service is very warm, friendly and attentive. At no point was I out of water - I loved how frequently they came by to check in on me and fill the water! Upon sitting down, they brought over papadum with three dipping sauces. The three sauces were very flavorful and a perfect compliment to the papadum. The chicken momo's were the best I've ever had. They're basically an Indian Potsticker - they were delicious and cooked perfectly. For my entree I had the Lamb Vindaloo at the Hot spice level (they have mild, medium, medium +, hot and extra spicy). The level of heat was perfect for my desired level of spice - I love things that are very hot. The vindaloo itself had vibrant flavor and clearly uses fresh spices. At other restaurants vindaloo has taster almost watered down and this was such a refreshing change. The basmati rice it came with was light and fluffy.
