Flying solo, I came in alone for a late-night dinner. I arrived about 25 minutes before they closed, and truth be told, had they told me the kitchen was closed and they were no longer taking orders, I would have completely accepted that. Instead, a very kind man greeted me and escorted me to a table. The restaurant is very bright inside and a little industrial, but decorated in standard well-worn Indian fare. Their menu is filled with familiar favorites and a couple surprise stand-outs like momo and some Afghani dishes. And to my very pleasant surprise, they offer goat as an option in several dishes. I love goat meat, and can't get it very often, since hardly anyone offers it. So I delighted ordered goat curry, 7 on the spicy scale, and a side of raita, in case the kitchen has a sense of humor. As it turns out, I thought the 7 was fairly med-mild, but my spice level in near super-human. But the kind waitress brought me "Spicy Sauce@ which added a delightful kick!! The curry came with rice and a nice papadaam/chutney set-up. And portions were large enough that I took half home and enjoyed it the next day (when it was even better!!). Without a doubt the best Indian Restaurant in Wake Forest and our go to for Indian food. We're really selective when it comes to Indian Restaurants as we often feel "we could have made it better at home", but Curry House is a definite YES for us anytime. I ordered delivery for a house half full of vegetarians and half full of meat eaters. The stress and upset pulling out a bag full of food, all of which looked either the same or similar and none of it was labled... At least write the initials of the dishes on the lids! Even the naan, some of which had potatoes in it, was not labeled, so we had to handle all of it to figure out what was what. Immediate loss of a star. The food itself was good! (Not great) All of it, even though we marked everything as Mild, was very spicy. (They labeled everything on the menu as 1-10 but don't list if 1 is the most spicy or 10. I would guess 10, but Mild was by the 10 choice? I will post a picture.) So if you are sensitive to spice, this might not be the place for you. I ordered the potato Nana and the Baingan Bhartha. I liked both. I did not realize the Baingan was more soup then a dish. (Especially when you don't eat rice.) The Aloo Kauli looked like a stew and I was told it was good but had a strange taste. When I asked about the Dry Chili Chicken, I was told it was just spicy and filling. I asked if it was good or have a certain flavor? And she described it as just spicy. (She ordered mild, too.) Curry House has earned an update and another star. Now that I've tried almost all the Indian restaurants in the area, and tried more of Curry House's menu, I can name them my favorite. The highlights are Tandoori Fish with a generous portion of salmon, and the best Bhindi Masala I've had anywhere. Chana Masala/Saag are very good. Anything Kadhai or Balti is also good. The main thing about the taste here is not the heat, it's the seasoning. I was finishing my pedicure at my favorite nail salon across the street and ordered pickup from Curry House. There are several establishments in the same shopping center as Curry House, so parking is really a tizzy. I went inside to pick it up. My food was ready for pickup just when they said it would be. It was spacious and nice inside, I plan to go and dine in soon. I ordered the Chicken Korma. I got home and made my plate and it was absolutely delicious. It's a busy place with as many to go orders as those dining in. The tikki masala is my favorite. Beautiful creamy sauce with precisely the amount of spice I specified. Chicken chunks are a little chewy but still delicious. The sauce is perfect for dipping the excellent garlic-stuffed naan. Also had Boti kababs. Chucks of flavorfully spiced lamb grilled on a skewer with peppers and onions. The meat was a little over done so drier than I would prefer. Nevertheless, very very tasty. Also perfect for dipping in that masala sauce. Also tried chicken momo. These are steamed dumplings filled with spiced ground chicken. Visiting from out of state and had a craving for Indian food. We ordered the garlic naan, samosas, butter chicken, chicken tandoori, navratan korma, and chicken tiki masala. Everything was delicious other, then some of the tandoori chicken pieces were a bit dry. We ordered the carry out order through Uber eats and picked it up inside the restaurant. When you walk in, they have a bar. My husband and I split a blue moon while we were waiting on our carry-out order. It had the juiciest orange slice ever. Whoa!! I absolutely love the two dishes from here. 1) the lamb Boti Kabob. It is giant chunks of lamb, well seasoned. I always cut it smaller pieces and eat it with some naan bread. 2) now if you like spicy!!!! The Lamb Vindaloo spice level 5. YUM!!! Much improved, but still a little rough around the edges. The quality of the food has come a long way since my last review. That being said, it appears as though a lot of the veggies used in the dishes are very similar to the variety one would find in the frozen food section of a grocery store. The curries and sauces are good -- but the flavors aren't as layered as the better places I would rank higher. Overall, I haven't found a better South Asian food place east of Cary, NC, but I have found better South Asian food places in the area of Cary. Still, this place is a lot better than a lot of the other places I've tried in the Raleigh area and a great option if you don't want to drive across the county. read more

Curry house was great. We ordered to go food through Yelp and it was made quickly. The only issue I had was that yelp's app never let me know that it was ready for pickup. I went inside to ask about the timeframe for completion and they had our bag ready. Inside isn't huge but it has a Bar if you want to grab a drink while you're there or if you are waiting. We were greeted by very nice people who work there and we had our food in no time. It was an easy experience to walk in and walk up to the bar that is directly across from the door. Hidden gem in Wake Forest in a shopping center area on Main Street behind Korean Kitchen. I've been craving Indian food for a while and I found this place on Yelp while looking for restaurants in Wake Forest. I had my dog in the car with my husband so I had to get my food to go. I ordered Chicken Tikka Masala and Garlic Naan to go. It took about 15 min to be ready. While I was waiting one of the workers gave me some ice water. The food was enough for my husband and I since we weren't really hungry and we just wanted to try it. We got enough rice and the naan was big but the curry itself was a pot with about 2 cups of curry and a few pieces of chicken in it. Everything was delicious though! We regularly get takeout from Curry House. The food is phenomenal! You can see tons of spices and herbs in the food. The palak paneer is so flavorful. The garlic naan is perfectly fluffy and melts in your mouth. Samosas are excellent: crispy on the outside, savory on the inside. You really can't go wrong. My one piece of advice is this: this place is bumping! They do a ton of takeout, especially on the weekends. I always call early and make sure I wait a little longer than they tell me before heading over because their kitchen can definitely get backed up. read more
