I had so many positive experiences at Bombay curry in the past, a recent order was unsatisfactory. The vegetable samosas were not prepared properly no taste, and the brown sauce was too thin. The Samosa Chaat lacked seasoning couldn't eat it. The Butter Chicken was surprisingly flavorless, and the Goat Biryani contained too much rice and bones and insufficient meat. However, the Garlic Naan was delicious. We end up ordering pizza instead It is hoped the kitchen can address these issues to bring back the quality of food previously enjoyed. read more

This restaurant is located in the Leesville Town Center @ Strickland & Leesville roads. The interior uses the small space efficiently with the tables taking up the left side all the way from front to back (the suite is narrow but deep) and the kitchen taking up the right side, fully encased with walls unseen by diners, then a very small area at the entrance for the cashier and waiting area for takeout orders. There seems to be a constant flow of takeout orders keeping the kitchen busy. With that said, the service on the takeout orders is fairly efficient with what seemed to be at least 3 people working the kitchen and bringing out bags of food. Their estimated 25 mins came pretty close. The food was delicious! When ordering Indian cuisine, it's usually safer to order the heat level 1 below what you like on the first try. Their Butter Chicken was spiced with just a hint of heat which is about what I'd expect of "mild plus" so next time I'll try the medium. I need to preface this review by saying that this is a review of their food as received via delivery, so things may be different when dining in! Decided to give this place a shot after reading the positive reviews, and I'm glad I did! I was tired of my usual Indian delivery places, which seem to use the same sauces for different dishes, which I'm happy to report was not the case here! Portions were hearty and the price point was fair (even at the inflated third party delivery app pricing). My one complaint was that the garlic naan seemed to be missing the garlic? However, this is something that could have been easily corrected in-person, it was just going to be a pain dealing with the delivery platform for garlic lol. Even without, the naan was tasty! Chicken tikka masala was probably the underperformer of the order and tasted very standard, but I'd order it again. The shining star was the palak paneer, which had a touch of tomato in the sauce and these glorious fresh strips of ginger. Paired with the medium spice level that was *actually* a medium (iykyk), and YUM. The food is soooo good here. Our favorites are the paneer tikka masala and Chana saag. I will say it's a little on the saltier side (coming from someone who loves salt), so if you're sensitive to that it may not be the best option. Our order is always accurate. This is probably one of the best Indian restaurants I have been to in all of my travels. The menu is well designed and provides something for everyone. It also allows those willing to explore the authentic preparations of Indian dishes. We came here on a Friday night and the restaurant was dead. We were the only people in sight. Service was fine, nothing bad, nothing great. The food was just ok. We got some chicken curries and started with an assortment appetizer. The appetizer was good but the curries were just ok. They were lacking spice & salt in our opinion. Our favorite in Cary has always been Cilantros, however, Bombay Curry is really close contender, if not better. We came here on a whim after I picked my husband up from the airport and got right in (they were swamped with takeout). I asked for a recommendation and went with the lamb tikka masala and it did not disappoint. It was so good and the perfect amount of spice. My husband got lamb curry and the difference between mild and mild plus is definitely noticeable. His dish was equally amazing as we decided to split the two so we could try both. 100% recommend the food. Service was equally amazing, I never went without. Great food and service. It's a quiet spot, perfect for date night. We ordered the bread basket, vegetable samosa, chicken madras, and the vegetarian malai kofta. I wasn't a fan of the vegetable samosa - too much starch for me with all the potatoes and the crust around it but everything else was delicious. Got the chicken madras on level 2 heat which was perfect. Husband asked for the malai kofta on level 3 and it wasn't as hot as mine - probably because that dish is made with some cream. From the exceptional and prompt service, to the flavorful food leaving nothing to be desired, this restaurant has made its way to the top of my favorites! Bombay Curry also provides some of the best service I've seen lately. The owner is very kind and goes out of his way to make us feel welcomed, even from the first visit. We ordered Pinot noir, which he personally poured for us, and upon noticing that some of our party wasn't drinking alcohol, he came over with some mango lassi for them! It was a thoughtful gesture, and the mango lassi was delicious!! On the rare occasions that we save room for dessert, we are sure to enjoy the rice pudding & gulab jamun with some masala chai. It's served in such cute dishes as well! Lately, it's been hard to find locally owned restaurants that offer unique and well executed menu items along with exceptional service. If you're looking for a restaurant to bring your family or friends where everyone (guaranteed!) will enjoy their experience, I highly recommend trying this place out. It was lunch special time, so our group got mix and match lunch specials to share (about 9-12 each). Accidentally discovered this little gem that is less than 4 miles from my house. Had a serious craving for Indian food and our all time favorite place is all the way out in Durham! Reading all the reviews - decided to give it a try! In less than a week, have gotten takeout 2 times. First Ordered butter chicken (mild) and Palak Paneer (mild) and Veg Samosas and Plain Naan bread. The Butter Chicken and the Palak Paneer are amazing. The Spice combination is perfection. Not at all oily. The samosas were a bit too spicy for me but hubby enjoyed them with the accompanying chutneys. The naan bread was a bit over cooked but not something to cry about. Second order- we ordered the same main entrees and added the Vegetable Pakora. Again- perfection! the Pakora was perfectly fried not oily and was lovely with the chutneys. Our daughter who is always hesitant to try new things was a bit worried that it would be too spicy hot. Not at all. She had some of our leftovers and was so happy! Sad for us parents as it means less for us :-( Food was prepared and ready when i arrived- packed very nicely.
