I've been really wanting to try Bomb Biscuit, and have hyped it up to family who we went with for breakfast on Saturday, and I was honestly disappointed. I have looked on so many occasions for a reservation, and never was able to get one. From what I can tell, they open reservation seven days in advance, but even when I went to get one at 6am for seven days from then, there appeared to be no reservations available. Because I was now looking at reservations for four people, there were a ton of reservations available. So they apparently don't open any or many reservations for two people? We were there a few minutes early for 9:30 AM reservation, and it wasn't really busy at all. By the time we left, it was busier, but not totally full. They have seating in the front room that you walk into, and then they have more seating in the back, which is where we sat. The space was bigger than I thought it was gonna be. I ordered the classic, which had bacon, egg and cheese on it, because that is my go to breakfast order anywhere. There wasn't much bacon on it. The biscuit was cold and was pretty dry. We also wanted to order the cinnamon rolls, but our server told us they weren't ready, and when we asked when they would be ready, she said she didn't know and wouldn't know until they are ready. Bomb Biscuit Atlanta was featured on this season of Netflix's "High on The Hog". After seeing the feature, I had to try the delicious biscuits featured on the show. My visit was on a Friday morning and it was mildly busy. Luckily, a seat at the bar was available and I was say right away. Malik, the bartender, served with a fun personality and great customer service. I could definitely see myself being a regular at this bar just to experience great service from Malik. I'm giving the restaurant for stars just due to the food being served cold; specifically the biscuit dish I ordered. The dish I ordered was an open face chicken biscuit with sausage gravy on top and eggs + breakfast potatoes on the side. Though this tasted fantastic, I wish I could have experienced it hot. This doesn't take away from the fact that I would visit again. I understand that kitchens get busy and sometimes dishes are sitting longer than desired. So hopefully I'll be back at a time where it's not as busy and my food will be served hot. read more

I went this past Sunday for my second time. I waited unknowingly in the dine-in line for 10 minutes then another 20 minutes in the to-go line. I got to the front of the line and was told to wait an additional 10 minutes only to find out that the cinnamon roll I've patiently waited for was sold out for the day. I ordered the Glorifried biscuit.I waited another 10 minutes for it to be ready. Then stood another 5 minutes until the cashier could step away and grab the order. My chicken biscuit was hot and flavorful. My hashbrown was not. I wouldn't recommend it. All in all, I did enjoy the food but the wait time for one $10 biscuit is not worth the majority of my Sunday morning. read more

Tried Bomb Biscuit on a recent trip to ATL. I got the Hot honey chicken biscuit and added an egg and cheese and also ordered a separate cheddar jalapeño biscuit. The biscuits were absolutely amazing, but the chicken was disappointing - it wasn't crispy and the hot honey was anything but hot. However, I guess they're not known for their chicken so I can't totally fault them for that, but either way, I think it should be crispy and hotter as it was described. read more

I learned of Bomb on the High On The Hog and knew I had to try the biscuits. I stopped on this morning for breakfast and took a few biscuits home. The service is quick. The attendants are nice and welcoming. My wait was just 15 minutes. I love that they have a different take out/pick up division. Parking is on the street for free or paid in nearby lots. The biscuits are soft, moist, and delicious. The chicken is delicious and crispy. The biscuit sandwiches are huge and very filling. I will definitely be returning. Decided to try Bomb Biscuit at their new Grant Park location. Staff were great and super friendly! The vibe of the restaurant is also bright and welcoming and the decor inside is beautiful. I ordered the honey butter fried chicken biscuit on the black pepper, bacon biscuit. Truthfully, everything lacked seasoning. The chicken was huge and juicy but needed more seasoning and flavor. The biscuit was soft and looked buttery, but needs some salt or perhaps a salted butter to add some richness. The entire bite tastes the same and I'm missing that southern taste that we think about in a fried chicken biscuit. I know it's Grant Park but please don't think you have to dilute the flavor! I also ordered the hash brown casserole which is delicious but again could use some seasoning and the potatoes should be cooked a bit longer because it was very crunchy. Lastly, I ordered the cinnamon roll which was a 10/10. It was warm and buttery and probably the best cinnamon roll I've had in Atlanta. Love this place! I started going here a couple of years ago when they were a well kept secret located right on the beltline next to the Glide pizza and the beignet place. Anyway, are usually get the hot honey biscuit. It is delicious and although I'm not a fan of chicken thighs it's the more tender meat so I understand why they use it. I can do without pickles on my breakfast sandwich as well. I tried the vegan sausage and cheese biscuit today and it is made with impossible meat. The texture of the biscuit meat and cheese was tasty! I ate it too fast because it was gone in 60 seconds. But I will say that the biscuit had a little bit of a baking soda taste. I think it needed a little more of a balance with sweetness. Otherwise it was soft and flaky and paired well with the impossible meat and, just egg and vegan cheese. As far as the service, it has always been great! More recently they expanded to a take out area independent of the dining area . Fantastic spot for brunch at Inman Park, especially if you're looking for good fried chicken. We had a bit of trouble finding parking and had to go around the streets a couple of times before we found a spot and the line inside was extremely long for the host stand. Thankfully that was it for the negatives bc the meal itself was great! I had the lemon pepper biscuit while my bf had the biscuits and gravy meal and we shared a cinnamon roll. I enjoyed all three of the plates, except the lemon pepper was kinda weird as a flavor, so I'd try a different seasoning next time haha. Really REALLY good gluten free biscuit. It flakes just like a real biscuit would and is so soft on the inside. Price was a bit steep at ~$15 for just a glass of water and the one biscuit sandwich with just egg and bacon. (Other items on the table in the picture include the potatoes, eggs, and a regular [non GF] Everything Biscuit!) Service was good and everyone was really friendly. Was seated right away on a weekend morning. This place is delicious! I've been here once for dine in and once for takeout. Luckily I've picked really good times to visit because I was able to easily park in the small lot located just a few doors down from Bomb but there is plenty of street parking available. You just might have to take a little stroll. The restaurant is super cute and welcoming without a ton of glitz and glam. The place might look small from the outside but there's a nice dining area and there's a huge back area with a whole bar and plenty of room. The staff are super friendly and during my dine in visit, our waitress was handling a lot of tables and still made sure that she checked on us and made sure that we had all that we needed. I ordered the classic biscuit (bacon, egg, and cheese) for my son, a cinnamon roll, and a bomb breakfast plate (2 eggs, a choice of bacon, sausage, or country ham, a biscuit, and grits). The only issue I had was that the grits were probably the worst grits I've ever had as they were super grainy, chunky, lacked flavor and had this weird taste that I cannot describe. Outside of the grits, the biscuit my son has was "so good". It was huge and because it was so big it took two days for him to eat it. The cinnamon roll was gooey and had just enough sweetness and the cream cheese icing was yummmmyyyyy. I like that they have an entirely separate area where you can place your takeout order. For my takeout experience, the young lady was super sweet and I liked that she made sure to ask if my order was correct on the screen. Everything was as good as my first visit. I had the classic that came with bacon, egg, and cheese. I also ordered another cinnamon roll. Everything was great and the guy that brought it out to me was friendly and funny. Bomb Biscuit is SO good. While visiting Atlanta my partner and I wanted breakfast and ended up at Bomb Biscuit for our last breakfast. I wish it hadn't been our last so we could have come here more than once. We sat inside and the decor is super cute and bright. The menu had a lot to offer and had such great prices. We shared an egg and cheese biscuit, home fries, cheesy grits, and a chocolate chip biscuit. Staff was super kind, friendly, and helpful. & the food, wow! Everything was so so delicious. The egg and cheese biscuit was so yummy, a great portion with such a flavorful biscuit. The grits were super tasty, the home fries had a good flavor - I just wish they were a little crispier, and finally the chocolate chip biscuit with a little bit of butter was the perfect way to end the meal. We really regretted not getting a few biscuits to go so we could have them at home. Wanted to see what the hype was all about since Bomb Biscuit made the NYT's 2023 list of the 50 best restaurants. Every time I drive by this place, there's always a long line out the door so naturally I'm intrigued. My husband went to pick us up breakfast on a Wednesday morning. I wanted to try their "It's All Gravy" which is a fancy name for their biscuit with gravy. My husband wanted an egg and cheddar biscuit. It's counter service and placed our order, but the server rang him up for egg/cheese biscuit with a side of gravy instead. My husband realized he put the wrong order in at the end when his total ended up being only $9. When my husband corrected the servicer, another server jumped in to let the other cashier/server know that "It's All Gravy" is another biscuit sandwich, so he then fixed the ticket. However, this was where things went sour for our first time here. My husband waited for awhile for our order to be ready. When the order was ready and packed, he only received one biscuit in the bag. He talked to one of the servers and said he's still missing a biscuit and gravy. He was then told they don't serve sausage gravy on Wednesdays??? Sausage gravy is on their menu and it didn't say anywhere this was only served on certain days. Yet another server jumped in and said they were working on making more gravy but he had to wait in the back of the line (mind you the line grew as my husband was waiting for our food). I'm a bit disappointed with their service. It definitely sounds like some sort of miscommunication with FOH and kitchen. I had high hopes for making such a prestigious list. On the contrary, I must say they deliver on the taste, but not with customer service (if that's your thing then come here). I did end up getting my biscuit and gravy. The biscuit was huge topped with comforting gravy. Gravy is definitely on the sweeter side, over peppery. Unfortunately, this visit only gets 3 stars from me because of all the unnecessary delay. We discovered this place on a whim via Yelp. One of the reviewers said the owner is a proud Aggie (shout out NCAT!) and I had to try it. Parking was surprisingly not bad for a Sunday morning--be prepared for a parallel space. The cheerful hostess let us know that we could sit by the rail trail or wait 15 minutes for a table. I loved sitting by the trail and watching folks workout as I gobbled probably the best biscuit in ATL. We ordered two hot honey chicken biscuits and shared a side of breakfast potatoes. Breakfast potatoes: 5/5. They were fresh, the perfect balance of crispy and soft in the middle, and the FLAVOR. They were so good. We were trying to figure out how a basic breakfast potato could be this good. Nothing frozen about this side dish. Hot honey chicken biscuit: 5/5. First bite was delish.
