From the hostess to the waitstaff. All very polite and welcoming. We observed them with other guests and they seemed very patient with the loud kids...and adults to be fair. LOL We had the big skillet both days as well as the breakfast sandwich. While there were some variances, we enjoyed both experiences. The first visit was better in my opinion - the potatoes were tender and not overcooked and my fruit cup didn't have a lot of cantaloupe. I have shared pictures of the menu as well. We had sparkling water and diet cola both times. Our beverages never ran dry. There is an upstairs that overlooks the first floor dining area. We wondered if anyone had ever spilled a beverage that landed on guests below. We could definitely see the possibility of that happening. They also had a nice patio, however, on the hotter days, not sure how enjoyable the city smell would be while trying to eat. Interesting - they only had one bathroom. So we observed a line. And there are tables right next to the door. I would avoid those seats if possible. A little too close to the restroom in my opinion. If we are in the area again, we would definitely eat here again, although they may be at the new location if we visit in the future. I look forward to seeing the upgraded features at the new location.

French Made has cultivated something of a local legend around its croissants, and after two…read moreconsecutive mornings arriving to an empty case, I understand the mythology. The almond croissant, when you're lucky enough to claim one before nine, delivers a genuinely impressive balance of shattering, buttery layers and a filling laced generously with almond cream, more Parisian in spirit than most bakeries attempting the same feat across this city. Even the raspberry version, when available, carries the same confident hand in the kitchen. The coffee program deserves equal praise. A well pulled latte and a properly balanced cappuccino suggest a team that treats espresso with the same seriousness as their pastry case, and it shows in the cup. Where the experience finds room to grow is in the choreography of the space itself. The room is petite, charming in its cobalt blue framed way, but the flow between ordering and pickup can feel cramped during a rush, and seating fills quickly. The patio, however, is a genuine reward, a shaded perch worth claiming on a slow afternoon. This is a cafe operating with real ambition and skill, let down only occasionally by its own popularity. Arrive early, claim a croissant while you still can, and settle onto the patio; you'll leave understanding exactly why regulars keep coming back.

That made it really economical for me. I didn't really get to see the ambiance inside the restaurant since I just picked up my food. But from what I did see, the restaurant looked clean. We visited KOST for brunch with friends and had such a lovely experience…read more First of all, the views are FANTASTIC!!! You get a beautiful clear view of the CN Tower and there is outdoor dining available as well. The restaurant itself is bright, airy... such a pretty space with natural lighting. I did find the menu a little on the expensive side, but I really appreciated how interesting and creative the options were. Will add servers were slow to get to us initially but they more than made up for it. Very sweet ppl. I ordered the short rib while my fiancé went with the smoked salmon and we absolutely loved both dishes. The flavors were fantastic and the accompaniments complemented everything beautifully. I especially loved the rösti potatoes, which I initially thought were hash browns in cube form LOL For dessert, we shared the mojito tart. The presentation was absolutely beautiful, the filling reminded me of herb butter! We could not really taste the rum and particularly loved the toasted coconut. The little pearls with it were fun.

Food (3.5/5) - the menu is a combination of small and large plates ideal for sharing. A cosmopolitan menu of diverse items from many different cuisines. - Baja Caesar Salad - baby romaine, corn, caesar dressing, agave bacon, croutons, grana padano, chili spice. This was pretty good, romaine was fresh and sauce not too overpowering with a slight kick to it. - Coconut Shrimp with mango salsa, lime, chipotle aioli. Also pretty good... shrimp was cooked fine and the garnishes worked with it. - Tuna Ceviche with avocado, cilantro, corn, red onions, leche de tigre, cancha, plantain. This one was average. The sashimi chunks were pretty average and the overall mix seemed to lack flavour and moistness. - Hamachi Crudo with avocado, elderflower, pickled strawberry, jalapeño, pistachio, basil, olive oil. This was one pretty bad... some of the worst hamachi I have ever had! Overly fishy and off-colour. Service (4/5) - server and assistants were friendly and generally attentive. Some lapses in check ins from time to time. Rooftop is first come, first serve so a reservation does not mean you will be seated quickly and may have to hang out in the interior bar or tables until ready. Atmosphere (4.75/5) - you really cannot top the view from Kost. It has multiple look out areas besides the patio dining area by the infinity pool. They have a raised photo pedestal which is ideal to take pictures with the Tower, Rogers Centre and lake in the background. They also have some trendy couches and sitting areas as well. The interior dining area is also pretty good with window views outside and a California vibe to it. Overall (4/5) - Yes, the food is on the average side for the price. However, it really is a great atmosphere for dining, even if sitting inside. It is a bucket list destination at a minimum and worth a repeat imo.

It was a great mix of sweet and savoury dishes, and the portions were generous. The Prime Rib Benedict was especially rich, with prime rib, poached eggs, Swiss cheese, horseradish aioli and hollandaise. The Lemon Ricotta & Blueberry Compote added a nice sweet touch to the Eggstravaganza and Waffle Tiramisu was a great choice to finish our brunch on a sweet note. My first impression of the menu was really positive - there were lots of tasty-sounding options! We ordered a coffee and latte, along with some water. The coffees arrived fairly quickly, but unfortunately the water never came despite asking twice. For food, I went with the Express Breakfast while my partner ordered the Homestyle Omelette. When everything arrived, my eggs were cooked to a perfect medium, which I really enjoyed, and the omelette was a very impressive portion size. The service was a bit hit-or-miss, though. It took a while for us to get cutlery and when we asked for ketchup, our server said she'd be right back but never returned with it. We eventually had to ask the diners at the table beside us if we could borrow theirs. One nice touch was the in-house strawberry jam, which I thought was fun! It was a little too sweet for my personal taste, but I appreciated the extra touch. Overall, we had a nice, simple breakfast at a good price. The restaurant is surprisingly large, with lots of seating, and it had a really lively atmosphere. I wasn't particularly wowed by the experience, but we got a good deal and had a decent meal, so I'd say Stacked is a solid option if you're looking for an affordable and casual breakfast.
