Good spot to grab a bite in between bars in Uptown. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant has dim lighting and has long tables with communal seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] After ordering and paying at the cashier you take your number to your spot, then your food is brought out to you. The quality of the food seems inconsistent with other locations, and this was especially noticeable with the empanadas. The carne empanada filling was mushy and not that flavorful. The jamon y queso empanada was delicious and had great crust. I did really like the sarandara pizza, especially with the pile of mozzarella and arugula on top! The caesar salad had a really nice tang to it. The mango margarita was more like a mango sprite cocktail than a traditional margarita, but I enjoyed it because it didn't taste too strong. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restroom is through the kitchen and you need to ask an employee for the code.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Super trendy restaurant! They have a beautiful interior especially for a casual restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Their menu is fairly small but that helps make a quick decision. They mainly have pizza and empanadas along with a couple of other menu items. I tried the pepperoni pizza and Cesar salad. Both are basic restaurant options but Boludo elevated both items. Each dish has a bunch of Parmesan cheese freshly shredded on top. If you are lactose intolerant, beware! The pizzas and salads are large enough to share and made with fresh ingredients. The Cesar salad was tangy and the pepperoni pizza had lots of cupped pepperoni on top so you know it's good. Ordering is done at the counter and they will bring to the table. I will definitely be back!

Best pizza I've ever had. Got the porteno. Great pizza and good quality food. Only downside is the wait was about 30 mins which I mean is understandable for good pizza. Oh and the salted crust and cheese is absolutely magical. Loved the crust so much for that.

Cesar salad! Very lemony and spicy breadcrumbs were interesting.

Pizza was really good. Loved the sauce. And the parm on the crust added some saltiness and depth. Empanadas were also super tasty. Beverages were ok. [[HIGHLIGHT]]And didn't love the ambiance as it was an order at the counter vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] But the staff were running around and able to keep up really well with small numbers.

Ambiance is so cute, it's a vibe in here with the dim lights, candles, and Latin music. Cleanliness is questionable - patrons walk through the kitchen to use the bathroom, so who knows who is going through there with what germs. It is also very self serve. Get your own plates, napkins, etc. which is questionable for me on a clean level. Pizza was ok. Nothing to rave about, and rather expensive. There isn't a guide as to the size of the football shaped pizza, we ordered two and ate half of both. Would have preferred sampling an empanada if we had known, our photos and menu make that hard to decipher. We ordered a regular pepperoni and a sarandara pizza. Pepperoni was a little more saucy than we prefer, and not a lot of pepperoni as pictured on online menu. Sarandara was a heavily cheesed pizza with a pound of arugula "salad" on top with a couple of cherry tomatoes cut in half. The arugula was dressed in just olive oil. I was highly disappointed in the way the greens were integrated into a pizza. Could have been done delicately with flavors that complimented one another. Service was alright, nothing exciting at all. Price seemed steep for what we got and our overall level of satisfaction.

This is their newer, larger Uptown location and, according to my friend, is a major upgrade in size compared to their original spot. I ordered for online pickup and had no issues with the online system Toast and actual pickup. Food was provided promptly. And the food is very tasty! We got ourselves one humita empanada, margarita pizza, de la casa salad and churro donuts. I will note that it would have been nice to have more options for removals (i.e. remove meat) as there were many options that interested me because of ingredients but contained meat. Overall, very fresh ingredients and felt unprocessed and made with love. For how much bread/gluten I ate that night, I knew it was good quality by my lack of stomachache. The donuts were by far my favorite being the thicker cake donuts I enjoy so much. Would love to come back for a cocktail. I wasn't sure about what the parking was like for this center, I ended up stopping at McDonald's briefly to pick up my order although I don't necessarily recommend it.

We got it for delivery, so can't speak to the ambiance, but the pizzas were good. Got the pepperoni and campo. I love pepperoni cups, so no complaints and the chorizo was flavorful. I found the pizza a little salty, but everyone's a little different. I did reheat in the oven to keep a crisp crust

I got delivery and I was close by so it was still hot. The Empanada was delicious, Cheesy and gooey. I just thought the filling would have more flavor. The dough I found to be spot on. Crispy. Not soggy and good flavor. The pizza delicious flavor. I just wish the crust was a little more crisp. The pepperoni nice and a good crunch which I like

Pepperoni pizza and empinadas were amazing. The best chimichurri I've had in a long time as well. The only negative was it was a little light on pepperoni.

I got a cocktail that I cannot actually remember anymore (a good reminder to do reviews ASAP) :( I remember it was fruity (strawberry?), light, and yummy. My friend got the Golden Raspberry Beret which was more whiskey heavy. I liked it though, good amount of raspberry and cream and the popping strawberry boba were sooo good! Nightingale was packed, but fortunately, once two patrons saw my face from the bar, they quickly paid their bill and left. My face often compels people to vacate crowded establishments in Minneapolis, and we often find seats. After grabbing the two seats, we ordered wine and a wonderful Amaro-based cocktail. Jules was our bartender/server, and although he was crazy busy, he found time to be gracious to us. We ordered the meatball appetizer, halibut, and the Nightingale hamburger. My halibut was sublime, cooked perfectly, and it wasn't drowned in sauce. Bravo! The meatballs were tender and delicious, but the hamburger was not memorable. It was good, not great. Despite all the accolades above, when the bill came, I was charged two dollars after requesting a cucumber slice for my Pimms Cup. Perhaps the source of this pettiness came from the kitchen, but it wasn't smart, because the $2.00 charge placed a shroud over my experience. The bill was $125, and because of the petty two-buck charge, I only left a $25 tip. I was going to leave a $30 tip. I will sadly remember those 2 bucks forever. It was a myopic move and a passive-aggressive way to handle my request. In my birthplace home of NYC, a bartender would have said, "Getting a cucumber slice is a pain in the rear, would you mind skipping it?" My response, "Sure, it's not a big deal."

The mushroom bruschetta similarly underwhelmed - it felt like it was missing something to make it stand out. The bright spot? The drinks were solid and well-crafted. I wanted to rate this higher based on the atmosphere and service alone, but at the end of the day, the food has to deliver. With so many great options in Minneapolis, Nightingale needs to step up its culinary game to match its lovely setting. I'd consider returning for drinks, but probably not for dinner.

Prices seemed a tad steep but frankly, given the quality of the drinks I'd say quite worth it. I started out with the Evita, a nice flavorful gin-base cocktail topped with a nice egg white foam. We dined on the patio, but whether you are seated inside or out, the ambiance is adorned with green plants, natural wood, and clean lines for a modern aesthetic that pleases today's diner. The food was a pleasure. The secret to the bold flavors is in the sauce. We started with an order of the grilled bread and a dozen oysters. I'll never say no to raw oysters (even on some occasions when I should have), but these were a great experience. The vinegar sauce served with these was a unique version that when paired with a dash of the shredded horseradish and a squeeze of lemon juice, the oysters were a punch of zingy perfection. The salted, vinegar infused butter that came with the bread elevated the dish. I chose the halibut for my entree and it was lovely (halibut is a win in any format). However, I would highly recommend the ribeye. My son got that and I sampled a piece with the accompanying chimichuri sauce and it was heavenly. The oils chosen to create that sauce were very well thought out so it made for not-your-typical ribeye and lent itself to something flavorfully unique. We want to return!
