Our experience with Summit Dance started out positive enough when our daughter was young, however…read moreover the years it digressed to the point we made the decision to pull our daughter out of Summit Dance altogether, the following are just a few of the reasons why: 1. Dance Material. The dance instructors are very nice, but the music and chorography was very poor and outdated. We were very disappointed and our daughter very embarrassed by the routine. In fact, she didn't even want to do the recital and when she did, she was one of the few that actually knew all the moves. When we saw the performance we felt bad for going through with it. 2. Payments. Read the fine print. If you don't cancel your child by a certain date, Summit Dance will continue to bill/auto withdraw funds for classes your child isn't even participating in come June. We usually are only in dance classes during the school year, however - Summit Dance seems to like to take advantage of busy families to make an extra $100 when you forget to cancel and they will not refund you. Just a friendly heads up! 3. Customer Service. During covid we understand social distancing was a huge issue and everyone must be respectful, but when you have 5 year old child who needs to use the restroom and the person at reception will not allow them to use the toilet while their other sibling is in class and no one else is around that seemed a bit much. However, even after covid - the behavior of the person at the font desk never improved. Not sure if she was sucking on lemons or what, but this person has zero business greeting or working with the public due to their nasty demeanor and sour attitude. Again, when we started we were super excited to be able to support this locally owned woman run business, but in the end we had to respect our child who clearly was unhappy here. When your 8 year old daughter expresses how embarrassing the music and chorography is, it's not worth putting up with the other aspects of a negative situation either. We transferred to Rhythm and Soul in Woodinville and our daughter has been thriving and excited about dance again.

The Scene I was a guest here for a five year old girls birthday from 1-3 PM. The child's class was invited and it was a mix of girls and boys. The format was, sit in a circle, introduce each other, start practicing lyrics and gestures to a song. Kids all go to the bathroom as a group. Eat Pizza / Fruit / Cake. Parents stand in a line behind a table. Performance of two songs. Some observations: Some kids were warmer uppers, like mine. They suggested I could sit in the circle with my kiddo to help her get acclimated. We were 6 minutes late. I did sit for a bit, but had to move to a chair. I did suggest my kid go and talk to a teacher and that seemed to help. There were two boys who kept playing outside the circle and not paying attention and following the rules. I was a bit bothered by this and am not sure what should have happened. 1. I wondered why the parents weren't encouraging their kids to participate. Was it because they were boys? And boys don't need to participate and follow instructions? 2. Why weren't the teachers trying to encourage the boys to participate? Were they assuming that because this was Disney princesses they wouldn't want to? All in all, I can't see everyone ignoring two girls not paying attention and doing their own thing and distracting the group. I feel like boys should be looked after and encouraged just as much as girls. While yes, the parents should have maybe done something, in situations like this, I try not to jump in, and assume the people who are being paid to run a two our event can work to include everyone. Loved that they had all of the kids go to the bathroom. Smart. One of the teachers seemed new, and didn't quite know the songs, she was looking at the more experienced teacher most of the time for guidance. I could see this made the students not know if they should look at her, or look at the obvious leader. Thought they could have done one dress rehearsal before showing the parents. Only one boy participated out of a group of aprox 25. 5-6 boys stood there. To me, this is a failure of inclusion.

She noted one shoulder was up two inches and not as far back. We warmed up the muscles with light weights for my biceps then went on to my triceps. With a resistance band we increased the blood flow to the muscles further. "Hug the noodle, squeeze it between your scapulae." she said while I was lying on a foam noodle. It is hard to describe the sensation of squeezing a muscle that has not been used in over seven years. I'd done to the third best trauma center in the country, tried three physical therapists, and three personal trainers at a big box gym, I had never been offered this exercise. I will come back and update my review after a few months or years of training here. UPDATE: After thirty sessions I added a star. Britt ha consistently modified each exercise we approach better than any therapist I have worked with. I did the math. LA Fitness offers bulk training that cost MORE than here. I just learned that Britt is going to Alaska soon to train trainers; she is a master trainer which is not a big surprise. Seriously knowledgeable and funny.

I am a lifelong athlete. I've been around the block with various coaching and fitness/nutrition routines. I know what's safe, what works and what expertise looks like. ZenRock is aces in all these areas! I first met with Petra who assessed my needs and goals. She placed me with Nova for fitness coaching and referred me to Britt for nutrition coaching. They are both incredible and a perfect match for my needs. I went through an initial fitness and goal setting assessment with Nova and the work began. She is an INCREDIBLE motivator and keeps me working hard in our sessions. Every workout is different and I look forward to our sessions each week. Don't skip the nutrition! This is a major part of overall fitness. Britt is AMAZING! She knows how to keep me going and I've learned so much through this whole process. I would highly recommend both if you are ready to take control of your health and wellness. ZenRock facility is a pretty wonderful place to workout. The atmosphere is great. The facility is clean and the equipment is well maintained and top notch. I've had an opportunity to watch other clients and trainers work together and can easily recommend ZenRock as a place to start or continue on your health journey.

The fact that that was a five minute argument was absurd!! so customer service goes a long way if you don't care about that then this is probably your place. it's very cute, and I loved everything about it except for the people that run it and that is the god honest truth. also don't go here if you don't want to feel bad about being 'poor' (less than 100k per year) .... not being able to afford a class when they're offering a scholarship to you but you're made to feel guilty and bad about it everyday. (the little backstory behind that is also we are exposed to start paying after this semester when we got back on our feet after moving here and spending all our money moving out here!) Our daughter would've loved to go back. And now I feel like she can't because of these people. Just really poorly mannered. Aside from that the classes were great.

I went to my first class a few weeks ago and this was the first fitness class that I thought about walking out before it ended. Don't get me wrong, the studio is awesome and has a nice vibe - the staff is super friendly as well. But this didn't feel like dancing...it was more like...how would I describe it... choreographed fitness steps for suburban housewives with no rhythm. Ah, there we go. Instructions were super fast and hard to follow, the music didn't match the vibe of the dance.... ie: attempting to dance hip hop style to a Jackson 5 song. (I use the term hip hop style loosely because I *think* that's what they were aiming for.) I'm glad I went though..I'd been wanting to try AKT for a while but learned it was not for me. I think this could be a great place for a specific demographic, though.

In the exercise, many trainers use a bar as a means for balance. It a great form of cardio workout and something I just joined in. I have to say, I LOVE IT!! My personal trainer introduced Linda's class to me and for someone who's not as motivated to workout cardio more than once a week in a gym, I'd have to say I am HOOKED! Linda's first class was neither intimidating nor difficult. Although I say Barre workout is both a physical and mental workout; I also have to say, 'Don't think, just do." Linda is patient and encouraging and her moves are easy to follow. Though she tells you to take your time, she does want you to push your limit a little more each day.
